- This is a documentary film on the life of Nada Yogi "Padmasri" K.V.Narayanaswamy, -The Vocal Musician par Excellence.
The life journey of this extraordinary musician and exceptional human being, belongs to a time when The Gurukula model of education (particularly the fine arts) revolved around, life with the Guru and for the Guru. Pujyashri Guruji Shri. K.V.Narayanaswamy is an example of a life dedicated to the service of his beloved Gurus, Shri. C.S.Krishna iyer, Palghat. Shri. T.S.Mani iyer, Shri. Papa Venkataramaiyaih and the crowing glory of his life, as the Shishya of our Parama Guru. Ariyakudi. Shri . Ramanuja iyerngar, whom , Sri. K.V..Narayanaswamy served almost till the end of his beloved guruji's life.
The love he received from his gurus and the single pointed love and devotion he gave to his gurus had a very unique impact on him, to the extent that it can even overwhelm a person. Before Shri. K.V.N.Sir made any decision on everything he in his life, he first sought their (Gurus) permission and blessings, before carrying it out .
On that note, besides seeking his gurus permission to go to teach in the United States of America, he also sought the permission and blessings from his Spiritual Guru, the Sage of Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu, Pujyashri . Sri Sri. CHANDRASHEKHARENDRA SARASWATHI (affectionately addressed as MAHA PERIYAVAAL), who gave His heartfelt permission. This blessing proved to be the turning point in the life and music of Guruji Shri. K.V.N. Sir.

Excellent presentation about the life of the great vidwan. Many young vidwans will come to know about him and his life will be a lesson for all vidwans as to how they should live their life be it Guru Bhakthi, saadagam or concert presentation.
Long live KVN mama's name, fame and his Baani.
Hats off to Anuradha ma and Padma mami for bringing out this with great efforts.
Of course KVN mama's soul would've become so satisfied after releasing this and his blessings will always be there to guide his generation.

Thank you for sharing this treasure akka!! The journey of a daughter with father when it also happens to be a Guru shishya connection.. Is so beautifully and sensitively captured! So many memories flushing in for me!!! You have inspired me to take ahead with much grit my father and Guru Melattur Sri S Natarajan's art vision!
Yes priyamvada. You must work on a script . Take a year for this. Keep contemplating on your pure hearted appa and that soul will guide you as to how the movie should come out. Keep taking notes from yourself as and when your mind throws forth. Compile them all. And this director cum cinematographer is excellent. V v kind, helpful and thorough in his homework. A joy to work with
When it comes to the actual execution stage, you let me know and I will connect you to him. His name is krish chander. A wonderful sensitive decent person he is.
Thank you for your heartfelt comments.
There is a story that MS madam met KVNsir to learn Jagadodharana before leaving to USA for the UN concert for better pronunciation and lyrics .
Excellent portrait reveals Anumma's extreme affection of guru and more loveable father🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much for the valuable comments🙏
@@AnuradhaKVN Anumma ,Thanks a lot for your kind response
@@HareKrishna4551please give respect to the great legend of Carnatic Music as Shri KVN.
@@aluruuma67 sorry mam ,i didn't think so
@@HareKrishna4551Thanks
Thank you so much ❤❤❤
What a beautiful presentation by Anuradha for this true Nadayogi. Have to watch this in loop to get the whole picture. Words are not enough to express the gratitude to see the visuals like a movie and take in the superlative choice of Music and slokams presented. Taking us to another world that seems blemisheless like the pristine pure music.
Yes , you said it aptly jayanthiji. Thru out the making of this documentary, I had felt Appa's Divine presence
It got made, as how He would have this to come out.... From a spiritual perspective, rather than the "worldly " perspective. Both Him and the Music that emanated from Him, are not,, ( in my view) from this 3 dimension at all
My only endeavour was to try and bring this aspect as much as I could , that's all. I humbled at your generous appreciation
Namaste.
🙏🙏
Lovely and fitting tribute to a mahavidhwan extraordinaire, Anuradha. Extremely well-made and congratulations to you for a fine production.
There were such nostalgic moments seeing Mani Iyer mama's house. Wish my father were here to see this.
Hello sunanda
Sooooo glad you commented. Your dad used to say, listening to my appa, that 10 yrs were being added to his lifespan listening to Appa. I actually think it's the reverse. Humble thanks to you for the comments
@AnuradhaKVN he leaves everyone wonder struck each time in spite of listening to him a million times. My Amma used to say 'Narayanawamy (as she used to call him), uru kutchery eppavam mudiyarde ni irrukkam.' I listen to his Todi, Keeravani, Bhairavi, Charukesi niravals again and again.
@@SunandaGautamPanchu yesssssss wonderstruck is what my appa evokes in each of us.
How long this soul must have been penencing to be born to him...... I wouldn't know..
Good job Anu . Worth seeing again at least a few more times !
Om Gurubhyo Namaha🙏🙏🙏. Thank you Anu mam for uploading this wonderful documentary and sharing such valuable information of your father Shri KV Narayanaswamy. This is priceless 🙏🙏🙏
My humble thanks and gratitude to you for your generous comments. Even if one person is benefitted, in life lessons, from appa's life, the purpose of this documentary is achieved 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Super 👍👍

Thank you v much umaji. We are humbled at the help we received from all the artists and the production team, for, but for their generosity and love for Father, this would not have been possible.
Thank you very much for your immediate reply.

Dear amma, this is the most splendid tribute you have made to your father. I've listened to most of the compositions in this documentary in your voice and today I could find the source of your divine singing in your father's voice. The video and your narration literally took me to those times and I could visualise every scene you narrated. Kudos to everyone who worked to create this masterpiece. Vidwans and Vidushis reminiscing the uniquneness of his music is a testimony that will speak about his excellence beyond times. Thank you for uploading it here so that it remains forever accessible to everyone who is in thirst of knowing about this greatest musician. I absolutely loved the way you portrayed Palghat, and Ariyakudi - so soothing and perfectly accompanying your narration
Superbly narrated. Thank you
Thank you so v much sharmy. This is but a humble minuscule endeavour, trying my best to describe this indescribable, once-in-a-millinium extraordinary musician and exceptional human being.
You are correct when you say that this will be a kind of a road map and a helping leg up , for the present person/ student, trying to know who this Nada yogi was.
Beautiful documentary Anu thanks for sharing
In fond remembrance of a legend your loving father
Thank you Maggie, for taking the time to watch it and share your thoughts too, despite your v busy schedule as a v sort after lawyer.
