Hello, I’m looking to buy either the “standard” Cullinan or the black badge, and it would really help if you could answer a question I have. Does the black badge have a stiffer and more sporty ride than the standard Cullinan? Because I’ve found conflicting reports on that.
I have a Cullian Black Badge on order (delivery in Mary this year), and Rolls Royce lent me one for a weekend last August. I've not tried the "standard" silver badge Cullinan, but I can tell you that there was a notable difference when I put the vehicle into "Low" mode (it held the gear for longer and stiffened the suspension). All of that said the trademark "carpet ride" was undoubtedly there and I really didn't notice anything untoward or uncomfortable (and the roads around me here in the UK are pretty rubbish). I currently drive a BMW X7 M50D and the ride in that vehicle is most definitely quite harsh at times!
Thank you so very much Thomas and the entire autogefuhl team for this awesome review 💯 This is really great content guys ❤ I appreciate your existence 🔥

Total disrespect of the Rolls Royce brand by not taking the proper time to clean the grill. Please edit the first 1:49 seconds and show the grill in all its luster. Thx.
Very accurate findings. Great car but it's a big fuel consuming lump. I agree that RR could have produced something more aligned with contemporary thinking.
I WOULDN'T CALL IT FAKE EXHAUST IF THE PIPES ARE RIGHT THERE. YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE PIPES POKING OUT OF THE BACK, NOT VERY LADY LIKE. THE OPTIONAL GLASS PARTITION IS TO KEEP NOISE FROM THE REAR TIRES OUT OF THE CABIN.
You are correct - the optional glass partition is to reduce noise coming from the cargo area into the rear cabin. In fact what this review didn't mention is that the glass partition is NOT an option with the bench seat (3 rear seat) configuration, it is ONLY an option with the rear two seat configuration. Rolls Royce's Bespoke have stated that they would be willing to investigate this as an option but it would be at a significant cost as it would need to be crash-tested according to their engineering department
Do you make several versions of your reviews in different languages? Excellent work with extensive research. Also, as a vegan, I appreciate your references to animals.
Another great, great and honest review, down to earth approach, despite the fact that anyone can be really impress when near a Rolls-Royce. I agree with you, it can be fun to drive it, just to get the feeling of it, but I will never buy it. And it's amazing that for that kind of money some of the technology is not up to date. It looks impressive, but we know that they can do better.
Hi Thomas, fantastic review as ever, but could I just correct one tiny mistake that you made a few times? @@autogefuehl But they are Germanic in every respect, and not in the same bracket as the RR. An American suv might be the Cadillac. Personally I would take a Bentley Bentayga over the RR...these two occupy a class of their own imo.

as for SUV, really like GLE and X5 as I said :) Both as PHEV with fabric, microfibre or leatherette seats inside =) Got other favorites in other segments too, though, hehe
@@autogefuehl Hi Thomas - Excellent Review. Yes, a GLE PHEV with the big battery and decent EV range, and re-charge every night at home - you might never run the ICE except on a 'road-trip'. But very expensive, and too pretentious. I think I'd go for a continuously re-cyclable, easy to work on, any mechanic will go on fixing it for ever, lots of ready-available cheap spares, not a transistor or computer in sight, 1980's or 1990's Land Rover Defender Ninety, with some more sound-deadening, an auto trans conversion, softer coil-spring conversion, and keep the engine tuned properly to stop it smoking(!). An excellent review as usual. This car is interesting to see on review, simply because this is as close as most of us could get to test driving one. That said, it's is a little bit disgusting to think of spending this much money to get to the local shopping mall. I wonder what future generations will think of such vehicles used for commuting......
Strange that the G-Class mercedes is more boxy, yet people would say this is uglier (which imo it is). Still selling well though - in certain countries.
Thanks for your feedback, feel free to elaborate from your experience after driving all three yourself in which way the Cullinan has better technology, driving dynamics, quality, price-performance-ratio or features than the X5 and the GLE (no the 14.000 picknick seats won't count) =)
Autogefühl I haven’t driven the Cullinan but I have driven a phantom, I have also driven the new X5 but not the GLE, but one thing is for sure technology is on a different level to X5 as the Roller has the best of BMW parts bin, the noise levels in the rolls are also on a different league to X5, and as for Quality of materials how can you even compare the other cars? As for driving dynamics! You don’t buy a rolls for that you buy a Bentley. A rolls is also handmade not made by robots. these are the things that you pay extra for.... please next time you are in the UK do a tour of the Rolls Royce factory just close your eyes and ears when they tell you how many cows they killed to make them beautiful seats. Ps I love Leather too. 😉
I agree that the noise level in the Rolls is very low, that was one of the things I praised. However from driver's perspective X5/X7 and GLE/GLS are so much better to drive if you do not care so much about being driven.
As for the leather issue: As a start, please tune in to what the animal leather industry tried to do here with our channel: ua-cam.com/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/v-deo.html In general, depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat would be the reason no.1 in other cases, the hide remains one of the most profitable body parts. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you accept it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and destroys the environment, you make them more profitable. Also, if you turn the argument around "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize how biased the argument is. After all, would you care for which body part you would murdered? Or imagine someone robs you on the street and beats you to death - would it matter to you if it was for your Smartphone or for your purse? The animal agriculture industry occupies 2/3 of all farm land on this planet which cannot be used for direct human nutrition then. That is extremely inefficient. The no.1 cause for deforestation is the animal industry. It is also one of the biggest contributor to climate change. The amount of land, resources, energy and water being used is beyond imagination. For the alternative, you can either use artificial fabrics which can be made from recyclables (we have already shown a lot of vehicles that use great fabric seats from PET-bottles etc.) or more and more also from plant-based materials (like Pinatex). And even if you would create a seat completely with petroleum without a recycling share, the amount of oil being used for that is nothing in comparing just to once fueling up your car. In practical reasons, fabric or microfibre seats are just more useful. You do not sweat in summer and it is not cold in winter. Not using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all just of common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.
Autogefühl I will always eat meat I’m afraid, as for the leather I do love great leather, you sweat less in better quality leather but also that’s what cooled seats are for. But my car happens to have vegan material as seats and they are amazing, also my cats electric so I’m doing my part. 😉

Thomas talking about option prices for a Rolls. Funny. That front grill just doesn't look right. Ewwww. Oh well I guess the track suit/ big gold chain crowd will love it. Thanks for the entertainment Thomas!
Thomas, another terrific review! I am no fan of the SUV however. Regardless of brand or luxury options, I just would never own a SUV. I'm sure I would prefer the sedan version from Rolls. This looks like a huge shoe box with a poor attempt at being luxurious and desirable.
It will be an achievement to get RR to give up slaughtered animal interiors. That does not mean that all pressure should not be put on them, to wake up to the cruelty and rather horrible results.
The Cullinan makes more sense than all the other RR's. And, I predict that it will sell more than the rest, especially with the aggressive marketing by BMW. If the Cullinan comes with bullet proof, then I'd aspire to own one.
€14,000... JEEEZZZz get myself a Swift Sport and put some sofa cushions in the boot... I have a fun car with a Rolls Royce feature for the price of that lol.
We get upset about car consumption, but we fly by plane or even sail by boat on vacation. No comment:-) If we don't need cows, we won't even raise them. It's a simple equation. Less skin, less cows. E.g. horses are also bred only for racing. If there are no races, there will be no horses... RR is characterized by conservative style, quality, comfort, solidity, tradition. It's not a car for everyday driving to work or a disco:-) The year 2019 was extremely successful for this company. RR is more a residence than a car. The right RR owner also has his driver.:-). It's just a different universe.
Such a pointless car in this day and age. Especially since it doesn't have technology that new 15k cars offer (Carplay, AA). And then you have to pay a lot of money for it. For less you get the best that Audi, BMW or Mercedes have to offer and that's way better than this. RR should step up their game! If I were superrich I wouldn't pay for this car since it is ugly and lacks in technology. I won't even touch the environmental aspect because these types of cars aren't built with that in mind (even though they can and should). Honest review, as always!

that gets a move on when you put your foot down with the rolls royce making that sound of that V12 engine 5.76 litre
i like it,❤, but it's too expensive to buy and also the options to😕
Thomas talking about option prices for a Rolls. Funny. That front grill just doesn't look right. Ewwww. Oh well I guess the track suit/ big gold chain crowd will love it. Thanks for the entertainment Thomas!
welcome =)
Thomas, another terrific review! I am no fan of the SUV however. Regardless of brand or luxury options, I just would never own a SUV. I'm sure I would prefer the sedan version from Rolls. This looks like a huge shoe box with a poor attempt at being luxurious and desirable.
Thanks and good weekend!
It will be an achievement to get RR to give up slaughtered animal interiors. That does not mean that all pressure should not be put on them, to wake up to the cruelty and rather horrible results.
thanks for the support m8
Mercedes Maybach > Rolls Royce
please AUTOGEFÜHL check-out the 2021 JEEP GRANDCHEROKEE SRT TRACKHAWK us please.
It's very expensive and I don't see why . I would buy 4 awesome cars for the same money
Beautiful people that’s who we are ~
We get upset about car consumption, but we fly by plane or even sail by boat on vacation. No comment:-)
If we don't need cows, we won't even raise them. It's a simple equation.
Less skin, less cows. E.g. horses are also bred only for racing. If there are no races, there will be no horses...
RR is characterized by conservative style, quality, comfort, solidity, tradition. It's not a car for everyday driving to work or a disco:-)
The year 2019 was extremely successful for this company. RR is more a residence than a car. The right RR owner also has his driver.:-). It's just a different universe.
Indeed, we should not raise animals to exploit them.

I understand. Unfortunately, we will not breed cows for their beautiful eyes.
the trunk seats are..... questionable, i think i might go for it if i had the money to buy such a vehicle
Four years after, it seems that Rolls Royce was wright. Who was more up to date then?
It's a long London Cab. Not a fan.
Honest review, as always!
appreciated !
Actually, "their game" is craftsmanship, high quality materials, and fit and finish. All of which are second to none.
@@krane15 @Sloeberjong And... this was a 2019 car, the latest version does have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (wireless in fact)
ah you finally got the review car from carwow's matt
UK reg...but different, different colour and steering wheel on the other side
Are you all underestimating carwow matt
High end.
Vegan leather will never be as perfect as animal skin. Even if it's 99% close it won't be perfect.
