How would you compare it to the Cleveland cbx wedge(s)...just got through testing it at the sporting goods store along with the brand new Tommy armour gtx an cb. Both felt great IMHO.
I own this club, and now that I’m really starting to get a feel for it, and learn to better use it, it really is a joy to hit. I also think the finish looks great, it’s unique and beautiful imo.
The lobwedge - the "most funnest" club in the bag - sooo much fun can be had with a 60 degree, and im a 18 hcp - after a session on the range or a round on a par 3, just spending a couple of minutes playing with a 60 degree is so much fun - favorite club in the bag for sure !
Thanks for the video. I actually requested (and received ) a 60° with 7°bounce for Christmas. I love it, but there is no way I can hit it 90 yards. I use it from and 40 yards in. Perfect for what I need it to do.
Dave Christensen same TX period especially middle north and west TX I have had lots of success hitting open face 60 degree off hard pan like a flop to fast hard greens during summer.
Douglas Freer I feel like PXG is different because they don’t try to hide themselves as a consumer regular brand.. I view them as the Rolls Royce of golf in the sense they know they’re expensive and that’s that.. but TaylorMade is a very main stream brand, so I look at their price spikes as more of a sin
@Rick Shiels Golf per your comments on the finish I will tell you I went with the chrome milled grind wedges and they look good except for when hitting the ball into the sun. The glare on them is brighter than any wedge I have had in the past. To the point where it was tough to even look down at the shot. For that reason I would recommend the finish you tested to anyone in the market for Milled Grind wedges.
Ugh, Rick! I bought the Volkey SM7 60* FOUR DAYS AGO! You make me want to buy everything you review! Love your videos. Saving grace on this one was the looks of the club after you took it out on the course. Looked pretty banged up. Nice work.!
Great review as always Rick & nice to see you chipping & flopping those shots around the green with confidence! Definitely not a wedge for me (for all those reasons you stated in the vid) but still, looks like TM is continuing to step up their wedge game these past couple years. Keep up the great work!
I just got one of these and yes, it did take a little getting used to, I'm an 18 handicapper , but i absolutely love it now, great for flopping those close shots to the pin and brilliant out of the bunkers, of which i seem to hit them all haha !!
As a mid handicap player who plays a PM grind in 58. I find your comments a little on the condescending side. My 58 has become my favorite wedge. I don't use it on everything, but when I need it I have a lot of confidence using it.
Had a really high toe on my sand wedge from the mid 90's and really liked it. Might have to give this a go. Shame it's not being made in some lesser lofts.
Great comment in this video regarding only using a 60 wedge when forced to do so: that is exactly my experience. If you are using it to show off things go badly wrong!
I have the same “kick and spring” feeling in my KBS tour shafts and my KBS wedge shaft. They are definitely my favorite shafts and give you that confidence your talking about. Now I want to try that “ high rev 2.0”
Again... A very considered, well thought out review. I think the club looks cool. Would like to try one. Keep up the great work Rick! Brilliant format.
I love lob wedges, and this is something I need to get. I tried this club and the feel and trajectory of the ball is very predictable as they moved the CG higher up the face by removing weight in the form of 3 small cavities and using the material to elongate the toe.
Great job once again Rick. Love the candor and combination of outdoor and indoor assessment. Agree that the finish is suspect, would love to see it in stealth black, if they want it to stand out.
I agree on the finish, I have a little OCD and would like it to match the finish of my other wedges. Are you going to review the Rogue and M4 fairway woods?
I have used vokey wedges (50, 54, 60) for about 10 years now currently on sm6. Next time I change wedges Im going to try all sorts of different brand wedges as everyone is gaining ground on titleist! Great vid Rick
RC Adventures yes mate it does wear but it's supposed to wear and rust with Time I believe, it's kind of like the old oil can finish on the vokeys. When they start to rust you get a really nice look. The Callaway pm won't rust but the TM has a much better leading edge for me. So far really impressed.
Great review! As far as between this and the PM Grind, I'd prefer the PM Grind because they are available in 56 up to a 64. They need to make it in a Black Nickel.
I like it, once again Ricky boy love the finish and I would say a copper finish. I’m a copper fan so the finish reminds me of the oil can finish like the Vokeys. And then again I think Vokey made a copper finish last year on the SM6 s.
I use my 60 for tricky shots over green side bunkers and downhill lies to greens running also downhill .This would be a great wedge to play wide open becauce of the grooves across the whole face
I love the idea of the versatility. I really like the looks. It’s the looks that captured my attention to honest. I think it looks so much better than the Callaway PM wedge.
Boy did that finish wear off quick! Mind you I think it was designed to so it does rust, but that transition period of sorts sure would make it look ugly until it gets a more even rusted coat. Other than that, it seems like a really good wedge! I have the Mac Daddy PM Grind in 60 and love the high versatility so seeing it's design utilized elsewhere in some form is nice to see to give players options.
I was forced into looking for a new wedge, having lost mine at Forest Pines, I could have just got a replacement like for like, but thought I'd have a look at this one, ended up getting fitted for a 58deg version, and its fantastic, as Rick says, any lie, although really compact sand I've had a few issues with, but that's more to do with me? great review as always ✓ ✓ ✓
Great Review, as always!! I'm about a 14 handicap and play a taylormade ATV wedge with somewhat success when I need it. Are you suggesting this wouldn't be a good investment for someone of my level this 2018 season? I love to keep my clubs in tip top shape, looking great. I'm afraid, like you said, my $170 buy would look old and scraggly after a few rounds. You think in 2019 they may release the same wedge with different finishes? I should add that I don't feel like I get great spin with my current wedge and would love some more. Thanks, Mate!
I called my black 64deg in high school the thing. I believe that 65 is illegal. Above I commented Mr. Floppy and now the thing. What's up with my wedge game?

Rick Shiels Golf noone can beat the shielsy reviews!!
Im looking into getting a new 56 degree wedge. Would you recommend a T7 or an S-18? Thanks.
How would you compare it to the Cleveland cbx wedge(s)...just got through testing it at the sporting goods store along with the brand new Tommy armour gtx an cb. Both felt great IMHO.
Awsome videos like always
I disagree entirely on the colour. I think it looks so cool and unique. I need it😍
I'm with you, I think its gorgeous. Would love to see someone's at the end of the season to see how it ages.
it would scratch up tho
I love the color off the shelf. But just concerned with how it would look after playing with it. I don't like the idea of my clubs rusting.
Same here
Adam Thomas I really doubt that a company like that will make a club that rusts. It’s 2020 now.
I own this club, and now that I’m really starting to get a feel for it, and learn to better use it, it really is a joy to hit. I also think the finish looks great, it’s unique and beautiful imo.

Love the copper colour finish 😍😍
Also comes in 58* which I prefer...love the finish love the wedge
Thanks for the review ... my home course in Texas has elevated greens with steep runoffs so I have to use a 60* wedge a lot.
Dave Christensen hello from Texas as well neighbor 👋🏻 lol
Dave Christensen same TX period especially middle north and west TX I have had lots of success hitting open face 60 degree off hard pan like a flop to fast hard greens during summer.
Nice review. The transitions between segments in your video are spot on with the time delay, graphic text, and audio. Great work
Rick, I really like the new format of testing clubs. All of your ideas and camera work are really paying off. Great Job!
your videos have really come on through the years and your videos have helped me too keep up the good work
I think that Taylormade is making amazing golf clubs but needs to take a reality check on their price point for the average golfer.
Ahhheeemmmm, PXG!
Douglas Freer morning I agree
Agreed
PXG, Honma, XXIO, miura’s I would say needs the reality check on prices

I love this wedge!
Good review, Rick!
Good info on the 60 degree. Love the insight at the end of video.
Ugh, Rick! I bought the Volkey SM7 60* FOUR DAYS AGO! You make me want to buy everything you review! Love your videos. Saving grace on this one was the looks of the club after you took it out on the course. Looked pretty banged up. Nice work.!
Love the finish, reminds me of my dad's old set of copper Ping eye irons!
Great review as always Rick & nice to see you chipping & flopping those shots around the green with confidence! Thanks Rick great review, have been a fan of yours for some time. Like your honest straight forward reviews. I'll continue to watch. Thanks again.
All these high toes are based on the original ping eye 2 wedge, still used after 30 years 😀🏌️
I love your videos, Rick! I learn SO much watching them.
Thanks Rick. I’ve decided to buy one of these all thanks to review. Thank you for being so thorough.
As a mid handicap player who plays a PM grind in 58. I find your comments a little on the condescending side. My 58 has become my favorite wedge. I don't use it on everything, but when I need it I have a lot of confidence using it.
Great review! very good points on where to use a 60 on the course
Awesome review. New to channel and awesome videos. I feel from your videos I get more knowledge and info than I do with other videos.
Had a really high toe on my sand wedge from the mid 90's and really liked it. Might have to give this a go. Shame it's not being made in some lesser lofts.
needed this specific video, thanks so much
Rick, the finish is supposed to look like that. Even better when it rusts up. It has no impact on performance. I love it
Daniel Racine agreed. Looks at its worst after 10 shots, then everything blends with use
Great video Rick!
Love watching your reviews, so entertaining 👍🏻
Great comment in this video regarding only using a 60 wedge when forced to do so: that is exactly my experience. If you are using it to show off things go badly wrong!

Thanks for the review Rick, looking for a LW to add to my bag
I have a 60º and I use it only maybe once in three rounds. The 56º is my favourite wedge.
Great review Rick. I like the finish actually, as long as the grooves hold their edge, a well worn club (center strikes hopefully!) looks cool.
When's the golf bidder video coming out. Can't wait. Great video as always.
i can see myself using it, great review again Rick, thanks for the content !
Good review Rick. TM High Toe inspired by Callaway PM Grind inspired PING Eye2 👍
Nice review. Finish looks awesome
Another great review. Waiting for the Callaway X utility review. Would love to see how you compare it to the apex utility as well!
Like the look of the club... I currently have the mat black Titleist wedges... still love those too!
Again... A very considered, well thought out review. I think the club looks cool. Would like to try one. Keep up the great work Rick! Brilliant format.

Good review Rick you talked me into taking my 60° out of my bag and that's a good idea. Cheers
I love the look of the wedge. That brassy finish does it for me. Nice review.
Great job once again Rick. Love the candor and combination of outdoor and indoor assessment. Agree that the finish is suspect, would love to see it in stealth black, if they want it to stand out.
I’ve got one of these on order! I’ve ordered it in a 58 loft.
You, Pete and TXG golf are the only “tv” I even watch anymore. These vids are so much better than golf channel academy
Love the colour! More clubs should be available in something other than just silver, or shades of grey.
I agree on the finish, I have a little OCD and would like it to match the finish of my other wedges. Are you going to review the Rogue and M4 fairway woods?

Love the color! Great review Rick!
Great Video Rick !!
Used this wedge for the first time today and love it. If I open up a wedge funnily enough I get high toe contact and this really helps
Great review Rick
Planning to get one. Love the finish
I’ve got these wedges in a 54 & 60 love them
I always check your reviews before I buy. Great video. Nice work as usual.
Great video and presentation of the info we all want!
Pretty good video Rick, I love seeing the club testing on the course as well, rather than just the GC Quad.
Absolutely good editing. Sounds and looks futuristic 😍I'm impressed.
Good info to the viewers!
Thanks Richard, glad you like the content!
GREAT video Rick!!!!!
I gotta have one. Great review Rick
Great video thanks.
Excellent review as always

Another top notch review. I play the cally PM grind, so not sure about switching. Interesting note on he hi-rev shaft may need to try one. Thanks
Thank you!!
Great review! I can not wait to get my hands on a new wedge
Awesome review!
Thanks Rick , as usual , very informative 👍👍👍I quite like the colour 😁
Great work rick, love your videos
Cheers Steve!
Another great review!
I like the Old USA Penny Color lol, great review.
I use my 60 for tricky shots over green side bunkers and downhill lies to greens running also downhill .This would be a great wedge to play wide open becauce of the grooves across the whole face
Been playing the Callaway 56,60 and 64 degree PM grinds for two years now. I really like these "hi-toe" kinds of clubs.
Nice review Rick! I'm impressed nice wedge for TaylorMade
Loved the Callaway PM grind.
really enjoyed the video!!
Nice looking wedge. Great video
I love the idea of the versatility. I really like the looks. It’s the looks that captured my attention to honest. I think it looks so much better than the Callaway PM wedge.

Great review Rick! Any chance we will see more hybrid reviews? Cobra F8, TM M3, Rogue, ect....
Love the way you tell it as it is. Always n honest opinion.
Big fan of black finish on wedge and do love a high lofted wedge.
Nice touch around the greens. Hey controllable was the spin in the different scenarios?
I personally love the look. I carry a 58 and a 54, wondering if it could replace my 58 with this.... Great review!
I only play pitching wedge sand wedge and gap wedge i use the m4 set and love them
Love watching you Rick, your the reason i have the clubs that i do
Thanks mate!
Liked the review Rick! Interesting club this is, cool to try on out when I get the chance!
Great vid, Rick. What hitting mat do you use/like best? Cheers!
I like the finish on that wedge. Looks quite similar to the oil can finish Cleveland used on their CG15 wedges, which are still in my bag.

I should add that I don't feel like I get great spin with my current wedge and would love some more. Thanks, Mate!
If Rory uses it, I'll use it.
That is why Taylormade payed Rory to use it
Lol I wish I was good enough to say the same
@@KevinLuWX "Paid"
I think I’d hit a 64 degree backwards
Haha!
I called my black 64deg in high school the thing. I believe that 65 is illegal. Above I commented Mr. Floppy and now the thing. What's up with my wedge game?
Douglas Freer sometimes you just gotta lob it in there!😏😏
I've had a 64, just a tip - they are pretty much unusable.

Great video Rick
