That is honestly what I wanted in the Goku black arc, with fused zamasu being unbeatable with his immortality and zenkai boost. I wanted that arc to have where Goku can’t beat him just keep making him stronger with the Vegito fight just unintentionally gives zamasu a massive zenkai boost . so goku must trick him to win and lures zamasu back to his timeline where beerus would be allowed to intervene and annihilated or seal away zamasu
I think frieza didn't want to kill goku and vegeta because he knows goku has friends in higher places! I feel frieza is looking to overthrow all the gods of destruction.
My theory is that Frieza needs Goku and Vegeta help to collect the super dragonballs. He could use them to wish to have Zeno powers removed and transfer to himself. Then everything else is a cake walk.

If the normal dragon balls can give someone access to moves, skills and unlocked potential I feel like they could be used to learn the God language. Also with the life link with the supreme kai, it would be easy to manipulate the God’s of destruction into making a wish upon fear of death.
Don't forget that there's a chance that Frieza also did mental training during his 10 year training regimen so that could be an additional power boost.

I think a return to martial arts is necessary. At some point, technique and movements, decisive strikes and unique characteristics have to return. Power level is too vague of a criteria and doesn’t account for other battle factors. I think this was best shown by Goku and Hit. They respected eachother as martial artists.

It’s wild when Vegeta was training with Beerus, Beerus said, “As long as you’re trapped in the past, you’ll never grow past the point [limit].” Vegeta had to let go of Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta and the Saiyan race. With that in mind, I thought at that point Vegeta would be the one to save Frieza from a potential death. It would be Vegeta’s way of acknowledging that the Saiyans brought their demise on themselves and he’d let go of the past. The fact that Frieza was the one to save Goku and Vegeta through it all is a plot twist I didn’t see coming.
If Vegeta ever is the one to kill Frieza, I think he will make the specific point to Frieza himself that he isn't killing him out of revenge, but instead to protect his family and new world from sharing the same fate his old world did, not that it'll make a lick of difference to Freezy-pop, but to Vegeta is will be the final milestone in a very long character arc. Hell if anything I suspect even the present day fully redeemed Vegeta probably understands that even without Frieza in the picture, his war loving people would've laid waste to the universe just to sate their never-ending lust for battle and bloodshed, perhaps to such an extreme they'd have done more long-term damage than Frieza ever could.
Hmm maybe? I think Toyo is setting the stage for a Vegeta vs Frieza match, potentially in the next arc. Vegeta’s guilt if his and the saiyans past sins in the Moro and Granolah arc were telling signs that in order to fully move on he’s gotta take out the guy that made his life a living hell, Frieza.

Like we know the old Vegeta was hella ambitious and wanted Frieza's throne for himself, or rather Frieza' presumed title of universe' strongest. But I wonder if Frieza ever just tortured Vegeta for fun, or tormented him in some way. There's not really too much evidence for or against "Abuse" of that sort that we know of. If Frieza never really "Hurt" Vegeta (Outside of wiping out his race) then all things considered, fighting for Frieza basically had him doing what he would've been doing anyway, the only difference being he'd be endlessly fighting on behalf of Frieza and not for his own satisfaction. Even the old Vegeta's grief at the loss of his people was unclear. Was he grieving for their loss, or simply for Frieza robbing him of his chance to be crowned the king who lead all Saiyans. Or maybe it was just the mystique of Saiyan pride that drove him, the idea of the saiyan race rather than the race itself. Heck, could be a mix of all three. Seth the Programmer put it in a really good way in his video about Black Frieza. 10 years of training seems way too overkill just to surpass Goku and Vegeta. Since Frieza knew about Gogeta, and since he also probably figured Goku would master MUI soon, Frieza might have been training to fight a potential MUI Gogeta. Which would explain the overkill on the training
And even in his video he mentioned that Frieza could have also been training for a stronger Broly or a Beast Gohan. As he has witnessed both of their power (Broly on Earth and Gohan in the TOP) and did accurately predict Goku's level of power in the 17 years he was dead to train for Golden Frieza. He could have predicted Broly and Gohan's potential and trained around that as well.

I just remembered, Golden Frieza was able to handle a Hakai orb once, then shot it to Goku after a failed assassination attempt by universe 9, and while he may have failed able to handle Toppo's Hakai, he did survive it. Now think of what Black Frieza could now do should he encountered another Hakai.

He *has* to be roughly around Beerus' level of power, bare minimum. His training would be pointless, if he wasn't. He's already surpassed Goku and Vegeta by many orders of magnitude, to a point where they're practically not even on his radar at this point, so it's obvious he had done all this training as a means to take someone down who is also vastly above them. Plus, it'd make sense, since defeating Beerus would allow him to obtain the GoD-title and to gain even higher levels of power than he currently does.

In fact he basically said to goku that no black Frieza was not the strongest in this universe at th end. Also Frieza NEVER pushed Broly back in the movie. And both Goku and Vegeta were taken off guard by Frieza's transformation AND blitz strike to only be knocked out of their forms. NOT KNOCKED OUT. They were both even groaning in their speech bubbles and it was and frieza was talking to them as he was getting ready to leave. Notice how after Black Frieza one shotted Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta he immediately returned to his current base form (which used to be his last form lol), this shows you he is a much more strategic and intelligent fighter than before compared to Golden Frieza. At the same time, in those 10 years his thirst for killing Goku and Vegeta seems to have lessened significantly because he could have vanquished them then and there but he left them 'for another day'. Plot armor for Goku and Vegeta that protects them for such a fate aside, I like to think the ridiculous boost in power also pushed him mentally to a higher state and perspective, where petty things like revenge don't seem to matter as much as before.

Some people glance over the fact that, Frieza one-shotted Gas in his BASE form. Meaning using his new found form agianst UE Vegeta and TUI Goku nothing but a pure flex. The kind of power Frieza wields if he could very likely 1-shot UE and UI Goku in his normal form makes even the likes of Gogeta or Vegito could have problems save for maybe a hypothetical UE\UI Gogeta or Vegito. Which to Frieza's credit could make sense if he's aiming for surpassing the GOD's and the Gogetas and Brolys of the universe. Beings he had bore witness to, why settle trying to surpass Goku and Vegeta when he should be seeking to surpass Gogeta and Broly?

Even vegito blue from zamasu arc was hinted to surpass beerus. Mind you characters like moro, gas, and granolah are stronger than jiren the mortal above the gods. Beerus has no indication of training and him being stronger than current goku makes no sense at all considering previous statements made. Honestly, Chapter 87 was one of the best of the whole DBS Manga so far because we finally got to see Gas and Elec get wiped out (I *really* disliked both of them), one of the most brutal kills and Frieza now becoming the undisputed top dog to overthrow the gods (Beerus and co.) which brings me back to the good old days of DBZ when Frieza was not someone to fuck with. I don't know about Frieza having a training partner in the Room of Spirit and Time, because I don't think that that is likely, and I do believe that it would be more impressive if Frieza trained alone. However, I do wish that they do something like that, like Frieza makes his soilders train, so that his army can at least be formidable, like I am not saying that he personally trains his soilders, I am saying that he orders them to train. What I would like is for Frieza to order all of his soilders to train, and whichever ones get strong enough, like the ones that are stronger and better than the rest, he will train with them as training partners, and those special training partners of Frieza can become a new team, like a new Ginyu Force, or a Replacement of the Ginyu Force, or things like that, just have more powerful people on his side, and more credible and dangerous teams, so that his forces don't just feel like canon-phother to push around by the Z-Fighters, like they are actual credible threats, not just Frieza himself. That is what I wish would happen, but I wouldn't really get my hope up. Tell me what you all think.

I like the idea of Frieza having cooler as a potential traning partner it would be a good chance for toryiama to make him canon. Also it would be cool if they fused down the line to take on beerus and gogeta or something like that.
Vegito or gogeta easily beat black frieza. This is assuming frieza is at least 10-100x's goku/vegeta. A fusion can be several thousand times stronger than the components involved.
I don’t think you really understand Frieza’s potential (I’m not insulting you btw). He’s seen all of the saiyans fight including Broly and Gogeta and he said he won’t lose to any Saiyan ever again so he’s most likely far beyond Gogeta/Vegito even if they used UI or UE. In a matter of 4 months of basic training, he literally jumped from Namek saga level to SSJ Blue level, so just imagine 10 years. Goku and Vegeta could never achieve that. Gohan or Broly? Maybe since they also have crazy potential.

Freiza getting that huge power boost during his 4 months of training was only because he literally never trained a day in his life before that. I've told people this a billion times. they will say beerus is stronger than everyone but whis. the will increase his power.. we haven't seen him at full power.. even the gag character had no affect on beerus
They've been retconning his power every time somebody new shows up. Back in B.O.G he was said to have been using 70% of his power. Then when Blue and Golden Frieza came around Toriyama confirmed he was still stronger than them. Vegito Blue was said to possibly be stronger than Beerus in the Zamasu arc(manga) but and in the TOP Jiren was said to be stronger than the gods of destruction. We finally get to DBS Broly and Goku tells Broly he might even be stronger than Beerus. We get to Granolah arc and Beerus was able to beat Vegeta with ease when training him for Ultra Ego. His power is just... whatever they want it to be at this point.

Crazy that Frieza immediately depleted UE Vegeta's damage threshold in one blow. The fact Frieza seen Gogeta Blue, MUI Goku, Broly, Jiren, etc, Frieza knew how high the bar was and he went WAY beyond it. The bar he initially knew of was significantly lower when he found Golden Frieza and he reached that in 4 months of training. Unreal. Black Frieza is going to be a hell of a lot of fun to watch!
I always find it hard to compare power scales of characters. There’s so many different feats of strength with each character that makes it hard to pinpoint where someone stands. Love this video though! I’m reading the manga right now and can’t wait to get to UE and Black Frieza!

I think a return to martial arts is necessary. At some point, technique and movements, decisive strikes and unique characteristics have to return. Power level is too vague of a criteria and doesn’t account for other battle factors. I think this was best shown by Goku and Hit. They respected eachother as martial artists.

It’s wild when Vegeta was training with Beerus, Beerus said, “As long as you’re trapped in the past, you’ll never grow past the point [limit].” Vegeta had to let go of Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta and the Saiyan race. With that in mind, I thought at that point Vegeta would be the one to save Frieza from a potential death. It would be Vegeta’s way of acknowledging that the Saiyans brought their demise on themselves and he’d let go of the past. The fact that Frieza was the one to save Goku and Vegeta through it all is a plot twist I didn’t see coming.

If Vegeta ever is the one to kill Frieza, I think he will make the specific point to Frieza himself that he isn't killing him out of revenge, but instead to protect his family and new world from sharing the same fate his old world did, not that it'll make a lick of difference to Freezy-pop, but to Vegeta is will be the final milestone in a very long character arc. Hell if anything I suspect even the present day fully redeemed Vegeta probably understands that even without Frieza in the picture, his war loving people would've laid waste to the universe just to sate their never-ending lust for battle and bloodshed, perhaps to such an extreme they'd have done more long-term damage than Frieza ever could.

Vegeta’s guilt if his and the saiyans past sins in the Moro and Granolah arc were telling signs that in order to fully move on he’s gotta take out the guy that made his life a living hell, Frieza.

If Frieza never really "Hurt" Vegeta (Outside of wiping out his race) then all things considered, fighting for Frieza basically had him doing what he would've been doing anyway, the only difference being he'd be endlessly fighting on behalf of Frieza and not for his own satisfaction. Even the old Vegeta's grief at the loss of his people was unclear. Was he grieving for their loss, or simply for Frieza robbing him of his chance to be crowned the king who lead all Saiyans. Or maybe it was just the mystique of Saiyan pride that drove him, the idea of the saiyan race rather than the race itself. Heck, could be a mix of all three. If Frieza did torture him for fun however, then yeah, that shit's personal.

Seth the Programmer put it in a really good way in his video about Black Frieza. 10 years of training seems way too overkill just to surpass Goku and Vegeta. Since Frieza knew about Gogeta, and since he also probably figured Goku would master MUI soon, Frieza might have been training to fight a potential MUI Gogeta. Which would explain the overkill on the training
And even in his video he mentioned that Frieza could have also been training for a stronger Broly or a Beast Gohan. As he has witnessed both of their power (Broly on Earth and Gohan in the TOP) and did accurately predict Goku's level of power in the 17 years he was dead to train for Golden Frieza. He could have predicted Broly and Gohan's potential and trained around that as well.

I just remembered, Golden Frieza was able to handle a Hakai orb once, then shot it to Goku after a failed assassination attempt by universe 9, and while he may have failed able to handle Toppo's Hakai, he did survive it. Now think of what Black Frieza could now do should he encountered another Hakai.

He *has* to be roughly around Beerus' level of power, bare minimum. His training would be pointless, if he wasn't. He's already surpassed Goku and Vegeta by many orders of magnitude, to a point where they're practically not even on his radar at this point, so it's obvious he had done all this training as a means to take someone down who is also vastly above them. Plus, it'd make sense, since defeating Beerus would allow him to obtain the GoD-title and to gain even higher levels of power than he currently does.

In fact he basically said to goku that no black Frieza was not the strongest in this universe at th end. Also Frieza NEVER pushed Broly back in the movie. Notice how after Black Frieza one shotted Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta he immediately returned to his current base form (which used to be his last form lol), this shows you he is a much more strategic and intelligent fighter than before compared to Golden Frieza. At the same time, in those 10 years his thirst for killing Goku and Vegeta seems to have lessened significantly because he could have vanquished them then and there but he left them 'for another day'. Plot armor for Goku and Vegeta that protects them for such a fate aside, I like to think the ridiculous boost in power also pushed him mentally to a higher state and perspective, where petty things like revenge don't seem to matter as much as before.

Honestly, Chapter 87 was one of the best of the whole DBS Manga so far because we finally got to see Gas and Elec get wiped out (I *really* disliked both of them), one of the most brutal kills and Frieza now becoming the undisputed top dog to overthrow the gods (Beerus and co.) which brings me back to the good old days of DBZ when Frieza was not someone to fuck with. Overall, I'm super excited after years of Frieza being nothing more than a punching bag.

I don't know about Frieza having a training partner in the Room of Spirit and Time, because I don't think that that is likely, and I do believe that it would be more impressive if Frieza trained alone.
However, I do wish that they do something like that, like Frieza makes his soilders train, so that his army can at least be formidable, like I am not saying that he personally trains his soilders, I am saying that he orders them to train. What I would like is for Frieza to order all of his soilders to train, and whichever ones get strong enough, like the ones that are stronger and better than the rest, he will train with them as training partners, and those special training partners of Frieza can become a new team, like a new Ginyu Force, or a Replacement of the Ginyu Force, or things like that, just have more powerful people on his side, and more credible and dangerous teams, so that his forces don't just feel like canon-phother to push around by the Z-Fighters, like they are actual credible threats, not just Frieza himself. That is what I wish would happen, but I wouldn't really get my hope up.

It’s crazy that frieza mental trains to get stronger than goku and vegeta . But I don’t think he has crazy feats compare to Gohan. Gohan literally just got mad and powered up to be pair or even stronger than Goku and vegeta . That includes piccolo aswell.

Vegito or gogeta easily beat black frieza. This is assuming frieza is at least 10-100x's goku/vegeta.

I don’t think you really understand Frieza’s potential (I’m not insulting you btw). He’s seen all of the saiyans fight including Broly and Gogeta and he said he won’t lose to any Saiyan ever again so he’s most likely far beyond Gogeta/Vegito even if they used UI or UE. In a matter of 4 months of basic training, he literally jumped from Namek saga level to SSJ Blue level, so just imagine 10 years. Goku and Vegeta could never achieve that. Gohan or Broly? Maybe since they also have crazy potential.

But in reality he was only x2 stronger then him. Gohan also one shotted and destroyed the Cell Juniors but was only like what x3 times stronger then them? Freiza getting that huge power boost during his 4 months of training was only because he literally never trained a day in his life before that. Goku from the start of the saiyan saga to fighting Freiza got a x125,000 power boost. That was because it was Gokus first time training to that level. His power boost were not the same after that. They've been retconning his power every time somebody new shows up. Back in B.O.G he was said to have been using 70% of his power. Then when Blue and Golden Frieza came around Toriyama confirmed he was still stronger than them. Vegito Blue was said to possibly be stronger than Beerus in the Zamasu arc(manga) but and in the TOP Jiren was said to be stronger than the gods of destruction. We finally get to DBS Broly and Goku tells Broly he might even be stronger than Beerus. We get to Granolah arc and Beerus was able to beat Vegeta with ease when training him for Ultra Ego. His power is just... whatever they want it to be at this point.

Crazy that Frieza immediately depleted UE Vegeta's damage threshold in one blow. It kind of makes it a useless transformation for anyone that can one-shot him now, until Vegeta trains his body to withstand even more physical punishment. I wish they made UE was as broken as UI, where Vegeta basically becomes immune to damage at a certain point and completely unstoppable the longer the fight is drawn. He needs a damn win.

The fact Frieza seen Gogeta Blue, MUI Goku, Broly, Jiren, etc, Frieza knew how high the bar was and he went WAY beyond it. The bar he initially knew of was significantly lower when he found Golden Frieza and he reached that in 4 months of training. Unreal. Black Frieza is going to be a hell of a lot of fun to watch!
I always find it hard to compare power scales of characters. There’s so many different feats of strength with each character that makes it hard to pinpoint where someone stands. Love this video though! I’m reading the manga right now and can’t wait to get to UE and Black Frieza!
