I love that the only two podcasts I've seen Greg on he's wearing the same shirt, recorded months apart. He's got a podcast uniform, and I'm here for it. 😎💪
You'll see that Russell was wearing the same as well 😉
yes, The Froth with Rhod
@@Snaakie83 Russell wasn't on the froth, I'm referring to this one and the froth from around a year ago. Is there also a third one?
@@satori3000 I think they were just mentioning which other podcast it was lol wasn't them that mentioned Russell
Is it wrong that I would pay good money AND take the day off of work to watch an all day unedited video of Greg and Russell gardening?
I'll cook lunch. Let's do this.
I am with you guys. However, I imagine Greg’s didn’t go smoothly. I kind of think throwing things and a profanity filled rant was included but I still think it would be great viewing.
I would take the day off to watch Greg do anything!
@@thecuriouscorgi1348I would take the day off to do anything WITH Greg.
He was probably yelling " The Clutch "
😅😅
I was thinking that too!
You beat me to it! 👍
Which reference is this? I don't remember
@@SonnyDarvishzadeh Don't think it's a reference, he was prolly telling him to pop the clutch XD
Russell's wife sounds like a genuine star of a person. Everyone needs someone in their life who can give you such top notch honesty from such a place of love as to be that brutal, but also that funny with it that you can't help but laugh at yourself, and want to share your own stupidity with others. 🤣
Greg is absolutely gorgeous. I could look at him all day ❤
Me too I love him, he is just so funny and great to look at.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Welsh farmers were self taught masters to behold. My dad - did extreme midwifery on a birthing cow in a river in the dark, he rigged a genny to a Massey Ferguson tractor so we could get electricity during the coal crises, he knocked a hole in the side of the farm and built a bathroom and 2 bedrooms from the attic. Same with my partners dad - hedge twining, creating dams and a huge veg garden, just in a days work for them ..
My great-grandfather passed when I was 5, but i have fond memories of him and his garden - an acerage that he'd turned into a food forest, with grafted trees that produced 5 types of apple on the one plant. He was always either in that yard or inside quietly doting on us great-grandkids.
I now have a plant science major and a passion for gardening, but SO MUCH gardening knowledge was lost between his generation and mine. It genuinely hurts my heart that no grandparents; or aunts, or uncles great or otherwise took the time to learn from him. It feels like he and I sort of generationally just brushed past each other, not knowing how similar we could be.
He's still the nicest person I've ever met.
Russell and Greg are such good mates. This podcast could probably easily last a whole week and they still would be laughing and chatting.
I see so much of Greg's life in all his shows 😂😂
I chop firewood on a daily basis, since that's our primary source of heat from November to April. And quite honestly, I do love the ritual of it all, both the actual chopping of wood (twice a day) as well as the kindling of fire. I do believe there's something to it, as you can't think of anything other than what you're currently doing, which is rather tranquil and mediative.
I was the woodchopper for our fam as a teenager. Probably delayed my adhd diagnosis bc it was indeed excellent for my busy mind!
Blokes have fought to cut or prep wood for the fire in my place - the ritual of it is lovely and having men do it and see that pleasure almost ritualised ( for me it’s a chore) is great to watch
Yellow Rover P6 with electric windows AND a 3.5 V8 motor.....as a child I'd have been mighty envious of Greg and his dad. Bet it sounded ace👍
The Geoff guy he is talking about is my dad he is still just as lazy 😂
Geoff procreated???
The “Tracking”! I had completely forgot about that. The times I had to put my fingers underneath the video player. Wow that brought back memories. 😊
Genuinely wtf does this mean? I'm too young to get this one 😂
Greg is the funniest, his stories seem to be endless. The perfect beer-mate
Greg and Russell, thanks for sharing you are both just F**King hilarious! Please never stop these chats, as they bring a beam of sunshine into my life!
Greg thank you for bringing laughter to my life again. You are so natural with your humour.
First thing I thought of when he said 'the Claw' was that Motorhead song. Miss ya Lem.
So funny, it's like being down the pub with a couple of mates.
You two are pure magic together. ❤
Oh come on... Greg Davis: Rewilding is a Channel 4 series waiting to happen. Get filming!!
I 100% would watch
Favourite people in the world ❤
Just absolute gold!
what a bunch of lucky jizz we are to be able to see more moments of you two together. Love the banter
Podcast Duo we need !!!
This is an absolutely phenomenal bit
This was awesome! Hugs to Greg’s mom. I hope she is on the mend. 💜
Also, that “hotel” kinda sounds like “City Slickers”.
I had to bump start my car every day single handedly with my first motor. I lived at the top of the hill and every day I’d push, run around and jump in 😂 nice reminder that we all start somewhere
When Greg mentioned his roommate I immediately pictured the roommate in the movie “Notting Hill!”
SPIKE!!
A lot of the little things that seem like laziness make life and participating in society, and functioning independently, so much more achievable for disabled people. Even electric windows in a car.
I once spotted a giant comedian trying to jam a boxed lawnmower onto the back of a two seater convertible in Charlie’s in Shrewsbury. He’s never managed to choose good cars 😂
Greg and Russell are the perfect foil for each other.
Heated seats and steering wheels are a godsend here on the Canadian prairies. LOL I'd love to see you guys do a Canadian tour some time. Come in the summer so you don't freeze to death. 😁
Which day will summer be this year? I think it's going to be a Tuesday (again) over here in Norway.
I REMEMBER TRACKING!😂 I used to have to drop the flap on the front of the VCR and hold the tiny rubber buttons until the stripes went amd the fuzz cleared up 🤣👌
This was a joy ☺️
I would LOVE to love off grid with Greg
AWESOME
Is there any chance you'd release full video versions of these podcasts? i dont really listen to podcasts i like to watch them i like seeing the facial expressions :)
The irony of watching this on a phone, with them talking about how technology has turned us into zombies 😂
"The stove was the beginning of the end. I mean, you used to just go gather a bit of firewood and some kindling, grab a flint and light it up and pretty soon you could cook your food. Now it's just a flick of the wrist and go. It's all too easy, I say."
Cars are freedom, and home is safety. Motorhomes are both.
Awesome and lovely and nuts-up funny thank you 😂
I never wanted a car with electric windows till I had shoulder surgery, it's Heaven 😊
Anyone who doesn’t get the point of electric windows has obviously never farted a throat clogger and needed to open the rear windows from the driver’s seat in a hurry
I just spat on my keyboard.
I understand the feeling of privacy when being in your own car. A space of your own. My car is just an extension of my handbag. I have everything in there i could possibly need at any given moment. 😂
If Greg wants to go back to basics he is welcome to come visit me in Canada!
More greg plz 🙏
The funniest but most relatable clip i have seen in so long 😂🤦👍
The Really Rewilded Show with Greg Davies... I'd commission it.
I totally get the electric window feeling. When I was a kid the only one I knew that had those were my godparents. We were visiting them during the summer break and they drove us to somewhere. It was hot and therefore we had all the windows open. When we arrived and they turned off the car the windows closed on themselves. All simultaneously. And I remember I was so fascinated that I whispered to my sister "Wow! It's all automatic!"
Love these 🎉🎉🎉
Best advice i have, that helps the brain and body, get an allotment!!
Or at least a veg plot on ur garden!
Get ur hands in soil, pulling weeds out, potting seedlings, then planting them out.
Watch them grow, tend them.
And then u have food at the end of it.
Brilliant for mental health and keeps u active!
I love Greg he is so normal yet mental 😁🤣😂
I love Tom Wood (ex England rugby captain!) philosophy, if some kid with no GCSEs can do it you can learn. Hes learnt plumbing, carpentry and a ton of mad skills by watching UA-cam reading books and having a go.
been saying it for years - we're gradually going to end up like the humans in WALL-E
Cool podcast
I absolutely love my heated steering wheel and I don’t care who knows it 😂😂😂😂😂
Love you /to got to do a proper podcast. Love both you guys content in comedy and fact both down earth mom s boys
Love how Russ emphasises the P in Imp.
I wish they would post the whole pod cast. Greg’s comments about the heated steering wheel made me wonder if apple Car play freaks him out. BTW heated steering wheels are nice. I am in the Midwest in the US. It gets very cold like -20 F sometimes. My fingers are too short to work the controls in the car with gloves on so they needed here.
How much do we have to pay to get Russell and Greg a re-wilding show?!
Love the comment about electric windows in cars. My sentiments exactly... same goes for electric toothbrushes!!!
My late husband was a big believer in the infrared lights...my late husband.
Absolutely love Greg and his stories ! Please have Chris & Rosie Ramsey on and Lucy Beaumont and Keith Lemon and Mickey Flanagan 🙏🙂
Greg: "Stop staring at a screen like an open mouthed zombie using only you finger to do things".......... while we all stare at Russell and Greg on a podcast. 🤣🤣🤣
So, I checked that reg number, it's a 1979 SD1. Nice!
Unfortunately, hasn't been taxed since 1987, so it's probably long been scrapped
Why'd it end?!?!?!?!?! I was enjoying that!
Loved that😂. We should be more active, I'm nodding away while watching it in bed.
Greg Davies goes off grid. .. turn it into a TV show, I'd watch it
A mate had a car called the claw, it was named after the motorhead song.
This is a fun conversation! I think there's an argument for the automated windows as it's probably safer to flick a button and drive than lean down and wind a window down with the other hand on the wheel, plus having control over the back ones if there's kids and stuff is good...but I understand the point 🤣 I'm 31 and I've always been quite happy to use something unti it doesn't work any more however old it is. My car isn't even that old like...2010 or something...can't plug in my music player or even see what the temperature is outside 🤣 I'm like who cares. Though i don't do lots of driving. My dad is also similar he'll always have a go at fixing something himself first (within reason) and takes any slightly warm and sunny opportunity to be in the garden faffing about with something. Also as an artist watching AI come into the picture a lot it makes me sad because the joy of doing or creating something with your own hands is special!
First microwave 1998?
My dad brought one home in the mid 70s.
Both of these men are good ones.
I often joke about having a lusty crush on Greg Davies (well, it's true!). But, nonsense crush aside, I do have a genuine fondness for that sweet weirdo. He's got a good soul, that one does.
Same here..genuinely hope he takes care of himself and is happy. Lovely man.💕
I'm also traumatized and relate to needing one space thats just yours and no one has control of it
American here, love yoou both, but going back to the “wild” can be done. Learned farmingof poultry a few years ago and have been going “ wild” learning the old things because i love learning and love being outside.
I wish I could join this conversation
Tracking on the video player now there’s a flashback
I reckon he was like Mr Gilbert as a teacher , testicles in his office , lol:)
About 2 years ago I bought a wifi light and I could change the brightness and colour or turn it on and off on my phone or with my voice. Recently I switched wifi and my light can't connect to 4.0ghz wifi and I felt genuinely disappointed I had to actually get up and use my light switch again like some caveman.
Technology begets technobabble too: (wifi does not use the 4.0 GHz frequency) 😉
@@nicknelson9450 is it 5 ghz? all I know is my light and my WiFi are no longer compatible.
@@nicknelson9450Is it 5.0 ghz? Idk all I know is my current wifi is the wrong frequency for my light so I can't use the features I bought it for.
Just commenting for the algorithm 💙❤️
You sure Geoff wasn’t shouting “the clutch” not the claw lol
Good chat.. something Russell mentioned, earthing.. it seriously works, i have severe Plantar Faciitus in my left foot and after 3 years i (like the lads😊) read something about 'earthing/grounding. So off to the beach, the best place to walk barefoot and off i hobble.. after a half an hour i felt like i'd done enough barefoot walking and put my socks and shoes back on and carried on with my day, pain free and pain free for 4-5 days after.. without having to walk about barefoot the whole time.. it also worked by walking in the garden barefoot, yet my garden has thistles in it so not so good.. great chat between these two❤
I'd rather I didn't at times but I fix everything because I'm poor, the only thing I've not been able to fix is my Wallace and gromit door bell. I chop logs all the time, it is satisfying. I fix my two 23yr old cars too. Also very satisfying and annoying in the same moment.
"Very satisfying and annoying in the same moment" is a great description of how I feel sewing my way through a pile of mending. Just the other day, I was doing my middle aged cranky rant about, "I miss cars that didn't have computers in them. I just want to be able to do my own repairs. Hell, I miss carburetors!" And, don't even get me started on computerized washing machines!
Thank you for giving the giant man a tiny cup.
Come on Russell, you've just been in the land of the bare feet. New Zealand!
I dont get people saying kids of today will never understand non electric car windows. I have a 2014 ford fiesta now thats reasonably nice small family car that doesnt have electric rear windows so surely most kids nowadays still come across cars without it
All I want is the ability to watch the podcasts WITH video in full. I dont want the audio only.... Plz Russel
“The Claw” could be a Toy Story reference? Movie’s from 95, not sure if the timing lines up
I once broke the electric seat on my grandpa's RV as a kid just by playing with the buttons
Same with automatic transmissions1
Funny as hell.
Why are they wearing headphones though?
Come heated steering wheel is a great idea! I’d rather drive while the car is warming up with no gloves then turn into Alan partridge and buy gloves I can drive in! 😂
Shit we had an auto tracker on our vcr lol
I have the skills and now I’m 57 the body does work . I’ve fucked it up proper like . The construction industry kills your body in the end 😢
I agree but also it's disability friendly, one the passenger sides too. Automations made a lot of things accessible. But I do see what he's saying like it's all going so fast with things we kind of don't need when there are things we do.
The claw! From Toy Story!
You're welcome to mine if you want!
I have 20 cubic meters of wood to stack and a lot more to do after that.
I think The Claw was telling him to stop teaching 😂
Great interview. Love this format. Just people chewing the fat.
where is the hoodie your wearing from Russell?
Russell you interrupted him.. he's about to tell us what he got up to in NZ!! bastard 😅
You can hear on Russell’s podcast what happened in NZ :)
