My great uncle is still MIA in France from World War Two. Me and my sister are his only living relatives. I sure wish that he could be recovered in our lifetime.
Not a chance. War is not neat and clean. Many soldiers from all sides were simply blown to pieces from high explosive shells for example. Sometimes you could fit all their remains in a match stick box. And some not even that. Not all soldiers had that luxury to be buried almost in tact or even found to begin with.
"Not a chance" is not what you need to hear. You have already learned that, and you are hopping for that one miracle. I pray you get it and find some rest for your hearts.
most likely the chopper was found and the remains was still in there. the 2 missing could have fallen out before the chopper was hit or they could have survived and died in the jungle from wounds,exposure,capture,wildlife. endless things could have happened
