Tip: the compass is a pivotal tool for call outs. South by Southwest is far easier for the helmsman to understand than 45 degree turn to the right.

if they only made a modern version of this with like 20 people on one boat, imagine how cool that would be, manning a destroyer with all your friends, and imagine the battles! it would be epic but this game also looks AMAZING, plz play more

Yes modern ship battles with 20 man crew would be kind of boring (Maritime officer myself) as everything even in ww1 ship to ship battles where all artillery based over a long distance there are exceptions but if you dont know how to start a diesel electric engine or with modern warships gas turbines and sometimes even nuclear powerplants and still keeping the game realistic it would be way to hard for casual players to get in on the game

Lol...Sea Of Thieves isn't realistic. Why would they have realistic engines in a modern era take on this game?
Also, most naval combat was long distance, even as far back as the Anglo-French war...

I loved the solo ship video. For some reason in groups of people the entertainment value is diluted by the other four guys trying to be funny. But when it's just you you seem to open up and be a character upon yourself that is super entertaining. I have the same problem with my friends when I record all of the sudden they feel pressure to perform for the video. Even though they are so funny when I'm not recording but once I start recording their doofuses
