We are so excited for Sarah & This video was SO fun to make - let us know what you think and if we should have Sarah on the channel more often, like this! Love y’all! PS. stay tuned for next week, we are dropping something BIGGGG!!!! (Or join our patreon for early access to videos and big announcements/drops!)
Nikki, does Sarah forget that Camper found you and you took him in for his own safety. He soon won your heart. Thus, no choice but to keep him. Rodney is Camper's best bud.
Camaraderie is always a plus. You two are lovely to see together, you enjoy each others' company, and i get the feeling you two will be side by side together consistently in the future. Good for you two, keep it up! Luck luck for now in the Rav! Stay safe, be well!!
I LOVE THIS! Sarah doesn't have a channel, but if she ever decides she wants to I'll post it! She did say she'd love to do some drop in's here on our channel tho (I call it ours because it truly is Sarah, Mine, Camper and RV's - she's a huge part of its success now with the weekly editing and we LOVE Cousin Sarah!)
Sarah is so adorable 😄. So glad she is doing this now. My best friend and I were going to get a schoolie and go across country when we graduated in 1972! But I got married that summer and got a good job. She was so mad at me. But she did over time do some traveling. As did we. Do it all now Sarah! Take it from a grannie😆
I always loved when Sarah went on adventures with you but, this is exciting being able to see what adventures Sarah will be doing and hopefully you two can meet at the same location and have Sarah share her experiences on the way. Wishing you great memories and travel safety Sarah!
Sara as soon as I saw you get the trash bags for your window I thought I’d tell you about a cheap and easy DIY window covers. Get some paper and trace your windows, then transfer that onto cardboard, then glue down some magnets ( you can get them at any dollar tree store) then cover in trash bags or material and voilà custom window covers. I did my friend for $3.00. PS we used scrap fabric from the fabric store and a couple of her favorite flannels
Wow! Sarah thanks for sharing your move into your Rav 4. It's exciting watching the split screen with Nikki! Can't wait to watch more of your adventures!❤
I have been doing 1 to 4 week road trips in my car for nearly 50 years. I have build car beds in 5 cars. Its a great way to tour. HOWEVER ... i could never live full time in my car ... I couldn't live without all my STUFF !! That said, I did own a 28 ft class C motor home and did many long trips up to 3 months. That allowed me to bring a lot more of my STUFF !!!
@@youpremium4466 they could be a paid subscribe usually they get early access to videos and sometimes UA-camrs do special live feeds with questions and answers

I absolutely love you two I love the split screen Sarah I’m so, so excited for your first weeks , month, I wish you would share your build no matter how simple it was . Mostly the bed! I want to know why you want to eat to go food Coolers are so cool salads are bomb what are your thoughts?
Ive had a 2013 RAV4 since 2018, bought the car because it was low milage and I have loved having that SUV ever since. It has never given me a single problem. Your new RAV4 is slightly larger than mine, but as long as you have a Toyota gasoline engine vehicle, you are going to get years of perfect use of your car.
Remember to insulate under your bed, especially in the winter. Many out doors people miss this step and end up freezing. In a super warm sleeping bag or blanket, once you lie down, you bed base depresses, reducing the insulation. Good luck to you and many happy adventures! ❤️🇨🇦
Man you are living my dream life! I tried to follow your steps but due some issues I couldn't proceed! I will try again in due time for sure! You are great!
Nikki it's hard to believe it's been three years since you started this journey. I've followed your story the hole time and now your cousin is doing the same thing. You ladies are amazing . I do believe Sarah will change her mind about a power station. I was a trucker for years until I retired and living on the road isn't cheap. But she'll get there. It takes time to determine the things you absolutely need and the things you find like you said are basically in the way. I think this will be a great experience for Sarah and you for that matter. I wish you gal's all the peace and harmony the world has to offer. I'll put on my new adventure boots cause this will be cool to keep up with you two. Looks like Rodney has taken right up with his new life. I'm proud of you for taking him on. He's got a good home with someone who give him all the love and comfort 💕 he can handle. Well done . Until the next one ladies 🍻. Peace 🙏
❤ GR8 VID ~ LOVED IT ❤ Reminds me of the old Prius days, which is why I started following your channel ❤ your cousin needs to launch her own channel so we can support her too ❤
Sarah needs her own channel!!! You have inspired her Nikki! That must be an awesome feeling. I hope you all get to enjoy the open road together on some new adventures and you teach her more and more about editing Nikki because you are phenomenal at it and I'm sure Sarah would love to learn from you! Happy travels ya'll!
So excited for Sarah. She seems so shy and abit of an introvert, so i hope she is safe and im sure Nikki has taught her alot. 😊 she absolutely needs an esky, some food cooker and battery. 😮
I just started part time van life last year and learned quickly that cooking and eating in the van saves a ton of money but misses out on sampling local places and meeting the interesting people at the bars and restaurants. I’ve also pre-planned most every overnight spot. Even if its just a Cracker Barrel. The east doesn’t have the BLM areas like the west. I also plan full connection RV sites every so often to ensure I stay charged and take care of the tanks. That adds to the cost but usually ensures a good experience.
This was SO great. Yay for Sarah. I loved the split screen with the 2 of you. Also, so cute when Camper was falling asleep when you were talking!!! Ha ha...I love you guys...all of you, including Sarah and RV.
That was fun watching Sarah's new van camp experience in her RAV4. She has had a great teacher to provide her with tips and I'm sure she'll come up with her own tips to share as she gains more experience. Happy travels! Jenny

Nice to see a no-build Toyota RAV-4 setup. Agree with Nikki, Sarah should get a power station.😁 Black plastic trash bags are a good very cheap temp window cover, besides using cheap black XXL men's t-shirts from Wal-Mart. 👍👍👍 That woukd be good if renting a vehicle too & you needed to sleep in it instead of getting an expensive hotel.

I love this! I live in my car and just started my UA-cam channel so it’s nice to see fellow nomads. Love seeing your good vibes also rav 4 are really roomy 😊
Having cousin Sarah give us her first day impressions was interesting and good fun. It's also neat knowing you've brought her on board as your editor, she does a great job. Sarah drop in's over the next 4-5 months before she starts college would be fantastic, especially if she doesn't want to create eher own channel. UA-cam is not for everyone, it is a real, serious job and Sarah's prime goal is to see the country more than film her every move.
Love the collaboration video. So awesome that you are getting out and seeing the country Sarah! Some of the truckers leave their vehicles running and I can still hear them from where I am parked and it made it hard to sleep which is my only concern when sleeping over at truck stops.
Your observations about truck stops is spot on. Drivers sometimes appear to be short tempered and looking for trouble but that's the furthest thing from the truth. Keeping your 25' RV out of a 75' tractor and trailer parking spots is the key to success. There is almost always space for your rig in different spots on the lot. Try not to shower in the late afternoon or evening to avoid further interference with normal activities insures no issues. Security is a given. Well lit and 24/7 traffic guarantees it.
I love my rav4. It’s reassuring to see people living out of them. I think about it frequently, but can’t live in there AND play my giant upright bass… maybe one day. But for now, lots of fun adventures!!
I'm so behind, my new job had me occupied...but hey, I'm remote now, and hanging out in Mexico!! Love seeing Sarah follow in your foot steps, she has the best teacher!!!The pups look great and happy...both of you take care!!!
Best of luck, Sarah. I think you need a small power generator of some sort and an electric cooler you can get at a truck stop. Sarah, have fun with it. Nikki ,so happy to see you and the boys happy and glad you kind of helped Sarah follow a dream.
Just a thought: I always keep some stable food, like sealed tubes of trail mix, in the glove box, in case I'm stuck and need winter food. But these days, there are many protein shakes and Soylent, which calls itself a meal replacement. Vegan gluten free, low carb, you name it. If you run out of options, they are a small shelf-stable food. Tastes best cold, but if you are cold and hungry someplace, much better than nothing.
Before commenting I read through your comment section. I would have to agree with about all the commenters, help Sarah start her own channel. Shes been a joy to watch when she visits you so it would be interesting to see her on her own. She could have a tremendous amount of immediate subscribers. Please collaborate with her and share a link so none of us miss the launch. This video was different but way cool.
I did month long cross country trip in my RAV4. It was in March. I used a 4” copper top mattress topper, a sleeping bag and a pile of blankets. Through the snow storms and sub freezing temperatures I did really well.
That's awesome that Sarah decided to follow cousin Nikki's footsteps!! It'll be a great experience for her & she has you to guide her through the whole experience!! Best wishes to Sarah!!
Getting started is scary and hard. Cool that Sarah is trying a new adventure. We have done a lot of Overlanding and car camping. Never actually lived in our vehicle full time. 3 weeks was as long as we stayed out in a row. Had a 97 4-door S-10 Blazer, 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid and then a 2014 4Runner. Our gear and off-road capabilities improved along the way. Awning tents, 12 volt refrigerator, dual batteries and extra power station, solar panels, winch. We now have a 19' Sol Horizon travel trailer (still have the 4Runner). This summer will be out first time going on a long trip with it. Having a fairly big solar array and lithium batteries, shower, air conditioning, kitchen and sturdy living area will be quite a change. We plan on doing extensive traveling for maybe a month or 2 at a time. Not sure if we will set up a UA-cam channel but may video some of our adventures...We have learned a lot watching your channel and others, nothing like doing it yourself though! Keep rocking and enjoying your pups. Will keep watching.
I wish your cousin Sarah the best and happy, exploring and have her stay safe and learn lots from you. I’ve been watching you since you were in your Prius. Thanks for sharing. I wish her the best in her new journey and she’s in my prayers.❤
I love how the ladies are so brave to do solo road trip but hopefully they have pepper spray or taser stick to protect themselves. Now a day, you never know. Stay safe, ladies 🙏
If you ever slide off the road and get stuck in ice or snow, you can cut branches off a fir tree and use it for traction to get your ass back on the road. Way to go Sarah! You must be excited. Nikki a a great mentor.
That's pretty awesome that Sarah is taking the challenge! Really looking forward to see her progress. Like most people said, Sarah needs her own channel.
Greetings from the other side of If you use a metal container that fits in middle of your cooler then pack food around keeps stuff cool and you get cold water as ice melts ( have been doing this for 4 weeks now) ice lasts about 3 days keeping about fridge temperature, my stakes where still cold to touch after 3 days in bush Nice post lady’s makes sitting under tarp in rain nicer
🙋🏽♀️CONGRATULATIONS SARAH 🚙 I use the black trash too, don’t use your windows to put up the bags. I open my car doors and put the edge of the bags around the door frame😉🫶🏽🫶🏽✌🏽
