Getting to learn one tekken character, even the easy ones like shaheen, takes around to about 2 to 6 hours depending if you're tryna find counters, understanding their fundamentals or just finding the character for you. And considering they only included about 1/8 of kazuya's full movelist, i doubt it'd take that long
@@inalingthedead yes, simple game. Kaz in T7 is more complex. smash doesn't have sidestep moves, tracking moves, ukemi. you can't even do 5 consecutive EWGF in Smash. bad properties for EWGF.
I thought of that setup but didnt actually test it so Im glad to hear it's not true cuz it would be stupid as fuck and honestly doesn't seem hard to execute at all.
Yeah, when doing training mode when he came out I was scared that the side b would get him an infinite and I'm glad it's not true, but nevertheless it's so much damage it's ridiculous

Awesome video! I do recommend putting the inputs on screen though right under the "difficulty" level. With so many actions available to Kazuya, knowing exactly what the player has to do can be hard to follow even if they have the movelist next to them. Stick tilts and button presses could be colored *white* while stick taps and button holds could be colored *red* , denote whether inputs must be done standing or crouched, mention repositions (if any) or untrue combos (like you did) etc.

Makes sense to not include EWGF becuase it's not even easy to input correctly for beginners. I've gotten it a few times, but hardly anymore after that.
I never really played Tekken, and I never really interested in Ryu, Ken, and Terry, but for some reason Kazuya feels so good. I’m not sure why but I really like him. He’s so cool!

I know there is some way to do a good footstool setup... Because the level 9 could destroyed me with one, you should try fighting it, it has some insane combos.
@@crazybokoblin8638 I didn’t have time to use any moves when it launched me into the air. It would always get the perfect timing to stun me then launch me up to footstool then stun me again.
When I figured out that nair could spike (not sure if this was shown by Sakurai, I didn’t watch the video) I realized that the combos with it would be INSANE. So I came to this channel and surprise surprise, nair is the best combo starter in Kazuya’s kit. Respect for getting a video out so quickly.
kazuya has super armor on his smash attacks and down b, smash attacks also deal a shit ton more damage when spaced a little, his nair spikes, it has an input that murders, a shit ton if inputs, and has a ton of moves that stun for a long time. WHAT MORE DOES THIS CHARACTER NEED
i was going to ask for notations of what you’re actually doing since i’m new to competitive smash but then i watched your advanced video which had notations and i’m still lost. LMAO
@@generalshrooms Pretty much the only real things that are useful to know are Wind god fist, Nejiri (Down tilt), or Down smash into his faster tilts like Tsunami kick, flash tornado or roundhouse (Sometimes also grab from down smash). Electric Wind god Fist into up smash. Up tilt into the Jab combo (not the ten jab the three jab). And That Crouching Jab actually does have so much stun you can do basically any tilt after, like Oni kick to send low offstage. Also did you know you can cancel his Nejiri by pressing shield?
As someone that plays Tekken from time to time, i love seeing these long strings even though I dont play Mishimas in Tekken, I’m more of a Hworang and Paul guy lol

Kazuya's damage is insane. He's like a mix of Bowser + Ganondorf + Captain Falco. Fast, stronger and a lot of armor. But can't deny he's so freaking cool!

I barely beat it the few times I did actually win. It kept footstooling me every round and I though “wait a cpu doing footstools? But how?!”

Level 9 CPU completely clapped me too. Kept on hitting combos and consistently getting Electric Wind Punch I couldn’t even keep track of the moves.

My biggest issue with him has been actually getting in on people.
Use the crouch approach by using shoryukens without an attack button. Just wrecked a Sephiroth with those

Hellsweep is invincible in this game, super easy to get in against mashers and projectile spammers.

If you going into training mode press + the Zr you get the move list tho it doesn't show the combos at least all the inputs are there 🤷♂️
