It amuses me that this video is shot on the Arnold River, a river F&G deemed not worth fighting for as trust power although the plan shelved for the moment have consent to dewater with the construction of a hydro power scheme. The flow on this day would be around 70cumecs, the scheme would drop this down to 16cum, so it would be a trickle, Being a non flood prone river it has an amazing in water ecosystem, and large trout numbers........making it an ideal river for beginners. Let's hope trust power who now hold the rivers fate in its hands leaves it as it is on this day.
Love spinning for trout it's a shame we have to pay a $140 for a full season license and can only fish certain rivers and streams as a lot are fly fishing only and those are the rivers holding good numbers and good sized fish. I think as long as your not using over 8 pound line you should be good able to fish these waters FnG NZ needs to look at that as we pay to fish these trout Ive suported FnG NZ 100% for years now come on guys worth bringing to the table in the next meeting

Same set up just no spinners and lures though just fly to bobber and 8 pound max line should be fine on spin rod you'd think
