  • Niki and I are back out for an evening of fishing on the Mississippi River. We are targeting rock piles and wing dams to put aggressive smallmouth bass in the boat.

    My biggest smallmouth was a six pounder, caught in a lake in Michigans upper peninsula. Was on a purple plastic worm, was fifty years ago can’t remember the lakes name.

    Biggest smallie I’ve ever caught was 21 inches had to be close to 5 lbs on pool 9 unfortunately didn’t have a scale in the boat that day so will never know for sure
