Omg, I love Floor but people asking for Floor all the time it gets kind of tiring. Yes, she is a powerhouse, but Tarja is Tarja. She was the original singer of Nightwish, she is f*cking amazing and they also defined symphonic metal. Put some respect on her name, she is not a second class singer, just because you like Floor more.
Yes I agree! I love both of them but Tarja is no less than Floor in how well she sings. And like Floor, she's also a down to earth and gentle individual. Neither are narcissistic divas.
Well said, totally agree. I love all 3 singers but It's nice to equally appreciate the original singer, her talent and contribution to Nightwish, after all Tarja will always be part of Tuomas music and history, she's special, when people diss her they are dissing Tuomas. People are missing out when they are close minded on sticking to one singer, and forget this bands beautiful history and music with the other singers. Been a fan since day one and love all the songs Tuomas wrote even the very older ones, its still Nightwish and the original Nightwish sound.
@@gaiavenus Yes, I totally agree. Floor is indeed spectacular, but some fans of her are overdramatic and act as if she is the only talented singer out there. I still love the old Nightwish songs, there were so dreamy. The new ones are good too but they have a more mature quality on them.

Be Kri not better than this one. Henk sings awesome but same as anyone in theater sings it, the opera old school way. Marko brings the Metal to this version.

Glad you actually checked out Tarja, many Nightwish fans kinda act like Tarja died and everything that she did wasn't any good. Almost all of the original Nightwish songs I prefer Tarja because of how she plays the pauses, there is a haunting/chilling sound to her voice, and her control and stage presence. Floor is an awesome singer also and I am not dismissing her in any way.......but Tarja did help found this genre of symphonic metal and deserves to be heard. Tarja is still putting out albums and still doing killer work.
If you need a little more of Marco check out “The Islander” by Nightwish. Also, love your reactions preferably listening together.

you should not take the army so seriously. They will recommend versions of songs as they are the best recorded versions usually or they are the preferred singer. Often some of the army can be far more serious than Nightwish themselves are! I would think that Andrew Lloyd Webber would love this version of the song :D

I heard that Andrew Lloyd Webber actually DOES love this version, and he even went on to say that this (Toumas's) arrangement represents the overall mood of the story even better than his own.

Here’s a link to Floor Jansen of Nightwish singing Phantom of the Opera with Henk Poorte who played Erik many, many times in his career as a Dutch opera singer. This is performed in an intimate setting on Beste Zangers TV show where they showcase the best singers from the Netherlands to sing each other’s songs. The show has their own excellent band so the rest of the Nightwish crew is not present. Surprisingly, only one other singer had ever heard of Floor and this is her native country. They all know her now! This video comes with a couple minutes of the singers commenting before and after the song so you can figure out what’s going on. Im a NW fan. I say do your reactions how you want to do them. This is a reaction so talking is necessary otherwise they can just go and listen to these songs on their own. I personally find it boring when reactors don't say anything throughout and like only 10 seconds of commentary at the very end. I can see the chemistry between the two of you so I want to see more of that in these reactions.

I love Tarja ❤ Please react to "underneath", the studio version. This is one of the most beautiful Tarja Turunen's songs. It's from her solo career. I never saw anyone reacting to this. It is really a beautiful song, with a beautiful message.

Just a hint on pronunciation - in Finnish, "J" is pronounced like you pronounce "Y", so the way you pronounce "Tarja" would be as if it were written (for the English speaker) "Tarya".

Most "fans" just ask for stuff from Nightwish from the last 5 years, just Floor Floor Floor. I love Floor don't get me wrong, but this band has been around since like 1996, they have a LOT to show, and it's awesome you guys went ahead on your 2nd reaction straight to Tarja, and undoubtly the best performance she ever did with Marco, this cover of Phantom of the Opera is utterly amazing

I would recommend Slaying the Dreamer (from End of an Era dvd), Sleeping Sun (also End of an Era dvd, a song for the total eclipse of the sun back in the 90's), The Syren and for more Marco, High Hopes. Enjoy it!

This is one of my favorite Nightwish performances. It is very iconic. In addition, the parallel that is possible between the history of Nightwish and the story told by the musical is very interesting. Tarja would be Christine and Tuomas would be the Phantom. In the musical's history, the Phantom is in love with Christine. It is an unrequited and stormy love. In addition, the Phantom is heard through Christine when she sings his compositions. The story of Nightwish is marked by dramas and many say that Tuomas suffered from an unrequited love for Tarja. Tuomas used to say that Tarja was the voice that best expressed his feelings. The lyrics of songs in Tarja's day were often very confessional. Christine was the voice of the Phantom, while Tarja was the voice of Tuomas. In the musical, the Phantom disputes Cristine with Raoul. At Nightwish, Marcelo (Tarja's current husband) said that Tuomas disputed Tarja's love (read the answer he gave to question 36 of the fans). Nightwish's choice to cover The Phantom of the Opera, just the part where Christine and the Phantom sing together, seems to be a very interesting coincidence, or who knows, it might even be a choice made by the unconscious, if the situation is viewed from a psychoanalytic perspective.

I love Tarja's voice! 💖💖I would like to suggest some reactions. Please, from Tarja Turunen's solo career react to "underneath", the studio version or the live version from Act I DVD (it's one of the most beautiful rock synphonic ballads I've ever heard. I love the both versions, but I prefer the studio version), and "Supremacy", live version recorded in Milan or in Woodstock (it's really amazing). From Nightwish with Tarja, the music "Beauty of the Beast" (yes is OF the beast) has the same epicness than "Ghost love score". This is a music from "Century Child" album and there isn't a good live performance on youtube, so you'd better see the studio version. There are lyric videos. The lyric is strongly sentimental. The music videos of "Sleeping sun", "Bless the child" , "Nemo" and "I wish I had an angel" are wonderful. They deserve a reaction too. Thank you very much!

I'd love to see you two react to The Poet and the Pendulum, and Floor Jansen and Henk Poort doing Phantom (among so many other things, but I'll limit myself to 2). And sure, be open to advice, but don't let anyone tell you how you "must" do this. This is your channel, and your other reaction was great. The audio is going to be a bit better with headphones, but whether you think the trade-off of not being able to interact with each other as much is worth it is a judgement call.
I think you should do your reactions the way you feel it's right. You need to have fun and enjoy yourselves.

Nightwish was built for Tarja. Literally. It will never be as good. Floor is wonderful and has an amazing voice, but nobody will ever be on Tarja's level.

Tarja is a very great singer, do not let most of the people who say "This isn't floor dislike." Its still the Nightwish we love, we just have a clear divide between Tarja and Floor, of course then there's people like me who don't care about all of the hate, they both are epic singers, same for Annette, There are songs that Tarja does better there's songs that Floor does better and then there's songs that Anette could do better. it doesn't matter so do ignore some of the comments, I do hope you do keep reacting to them, in general they are amazing.
