- Finally put together some old footage and pictures of our house project! It was a long road but well worth it. We documented the project up to a point and then didn't do much filming so I apologize for having to resort to an image slideshow. Our house is a 16x40 Graceland portable building. The Shabin looks great!! Love the Bathroom. We are getting our five acres in the mountains cleared next spring and then our journey will begin. We are also looking at a 16' X 40'!!!! We can't wait!

Side by side? As in back to back do you essentially double the width or side to side lengthwise?
I imagine I'd get two and put them in an "L" shape that way I'd create a neat little courtyard space that I can put a cover on for indoor/outdoor living.
@@a_noelle8595 side by side! I thought about the L shape, it just leaves the house to narrow. I also decided to go with 52 ft containers instead of 40ft containers

Hello .. we have bought a 16 by 40 shed just like yours but are having trouble getting a layout .. what’s the ft of your bathroom and bedroom
Sorry for the delayed reply. Bedroom is about 10x13, and bathroom is roughly 4x9. That’s leaves space for about a 4x4 closet in the bedroom.

How much did the house and land cost in total? I live in the UK and me and my gf would love to buy a small land and so something like this but i would love some ideas of how much in total did it cost you with land/house and plumming everything? Many thanks XD
Hey Marco, thanks for watching! After all was said and done, the house cost us about $35,000. Luckily the land was free, and we were able to tie into an existing septic and tap into a well that was already on the property. I'm currently working on a video about the cost right now. So, hopefully that'll be out in the next few days.

You are correct! I was not super familiar with codes. The house didn’t have to be built to code, but knowing what I know now I would absolutely do more research on codes and regulations.
