the way you list these products in the description is the most considerate thing i have seen from a youtube reviewer. (hugs and pounds and daps) MUCH appreciated
You are a breath of fresh air. I've been looking at reviews all day because my last EDC finally bit the bullet (9 years) and it's been mind-numbing. Got to your channel and more importantly your website, (which is clean, elegant, and minimal) and it felt like you popped out of the jungle brush with a big smile, you showed me a machete and said "I got you, let's get outta here." You're also hilarious. Cheers bro
I've carried the same cheap Ogio backpack for 7 years. I finally decide to replace it and I can't believe how expensive bags are now. Might try to get a few more years out of mine.
The most important factors for me is water resistant material and a good cushioning inside pocket to hold my gaming laptop, I drive a motorbike so the extra padding is greatly appreciated for bumps and waterproofness for random showers that might happen mid ride so I don't have to pull over and wrap my bag in a bin liner
I love how your channel is progressing - the angles, the length of the videos, the variety of stuff you're reviewing... really happy for you. You're great at this. I want all of the bags.
I love when you bring up the business papers man. Gets me every time. I am watching your daily carry videos to see if there is anything that will cause me to not buy the pakt 25L duffel. I funded the pakt backpack last year and received it in March. Love the bag. Have barely used it. Cuz you know ✌🏼
New to the channel but I love your content and energy. As far as packs, two functional water bottle pockets are a must for me, and I don't understand why so many companies are skimping on them. It's a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned.
Love the format Chase, the break in scenery halfway through was a great idea. The MR Prizefighter and the Bellroy backpack spoke to me (as does all of Bellroy's products), so I'll have to give them a closer look
Hey Chase! I bought the Camelbak 750 ml water bottle- great recommendation! I prefer an exterior water bottle holder because spills happen. I love the Aer tech pack but am looking for a smaller EDC. 👩🏻💻 Any thoughts? Gear includes- 16” MB PRO with twelve south book book leather case, 11” iPad Pro with folio case, and tech pouches. 🙏🏻
Just curious... why not include the Aer Day Pack?? Been looking at your videos recently for a minimal day pack and you almost got me convinced on the Aer but don't see included here.I'll add... kinda like the Mystery Ranch in this video... hmm... Mystery Ranch or Aer??
Have you checked out Lander bags? Rolltop AND full front loader zip, AND external water bottle compartment. 35L Traveler and 25L Commuter options. Would be interested in your opinion!
I think the YNOT Deploy is the packable day bag for me, but I want to know if it's enough to be a daily driver for a digital nomad. I'd like to carry a laptop in a case, a keyboard, a mouse and a 1 pound external monitor. Will this hold up day in and day out to a co-working space, or should I stick to the lay-flat packable day packs like the Aer Go Pack?
Hi Chase! Do you know when you’ll be reviewing the Day Owl backpack? Really wanting to buy it but was hoping to see your vid review before I made the leap. Thanks!!
Hey. I think the DISPATCH daypack can potentially be a great laptop bag well. BTW, I think all the laptop bags should be travel friendly--have a pass-through for your luggage.
Can you review the new Day Owl bag? It was released today - made from plastic waste, which is cool. But I want to know if it lives up to the hype. It's called "the backpack".
I work in an office but most of my work is on construction sites I am looking for a small bag where I can throwing my lunch and my IPad and a note book. Do you have any recommendations?
Trying to find a backpack to take on sales calls that can hold a screw driver and a tape measure that won’t mess up my 12.9 iPad Pro lol and have a ridged bottom so if I drop the bag down to hard it doesn’t mess up the tablet
Hi Chase, I'd be very interested in your opinion on the Greenroom 136 Mission Attache and the Junkmonkey. As everyday carry backpack. Oh and also the Life Behind Bars Echelon, looks very promising
Can't decide between the Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 21/24, Prizefighter, and the Douchebags The Backpack, but I think this review might have just crossed out the Douchebags.
Chase, loving the new filmmaking techniques. Maybe it is just me but a cool video would be you reviewing popular backpacks like North Face, Patagonia, Herschel, Incase, etc. and stating what's good and what you don't like or why you like the smaller company products better. I find one of my favorite bags in my collection is an old North Face Borealis Edc Backpack. I still switch to Aer and Belroy and such but would love to see your take on those types of bags too! Keep up the great work.
Hi everyone! I'm developing a commuter's backpack as my thesis project in a Product Design school. Do you know any book or documents about the technical side of a backpack (ex. how it's made, ergonomics, materials, story of the backpack and so on)? It would be very helpful! thanks in advance!
The qvvvestion bananatex reminds me a little bit of the teranishi studio venture pack (if you ever got your hands on one Chase you have to talk to us about it)
Can someone help out on where I should start when trying to get my prototype out there? I have a few revisions to complete but its basically done for the most part. I was thinking of going onto forums and telling people about it and get feedback. Are there any forums that are good for backpack designers or backpack enthusiasts? Thanks!
I was thinking I would see the Wandrd Duo - did it not make the cut? I'm really tempted by it but have not yet seen it in person. For minimal travel I'm really enticed by the, the Black Ember Forge (in dark multicam of course), but I already have the Peak Travel and love everything but the straps. I need to clear out a few bags before I pull the trigger though. Still my daily carry is MW Rhake in dark multicam. It's hard to beat. They just need to stitch down the darn liners. Drives me crazy.
@@chasereeves Nice, man... you are doing great! Thanks for all the content for those of us designers out there who have a bag "thing". I always look forward to lunch with Chase. Have a great day!
i just subscribed you but i have some request im the kind of guy who always bring my 15inch MacBook but i didn't like huge bag currently i used Fjallraven kanken classic, not kanken laptop because its just too big, im also use douchebags avenue both of em are above 15L and under 25L. can you help us to find small 15inch backpack like around what i used 15L-25L
I got the brevite bag. Im 6'1 and 210lbs and the bag seems like its meant for a child. I have to have the straps completely loose for it to fit on my back. The lens cap holder is on the back of my shoulders when its on me. Such a bummer because their bags are great for daily carry camera gear.
Hi chase i love you videos I also interesting in the two bags in front of you in my right side of the screen about the name of the blu and brown bags with the straps
opposethis mini 1, and 1.. beautiful and top notch functionality. I use the mini as my daily carry when I take my ipad. It holds everything else... Surprised it’s not here...???
A few thoughts: - I don't like that you didn't sing "Waxed Canvas." But you redeemed yourself with "Business papers." - I notice you're kind of playing around with your editing style. I like it. - I dig the idea of recycled water bottles for bags. But I wonder what happens in 5-10 years when these bags start making their way to landfills and what not. Will they breakdown different from a normal water bottle? Or are we just kicking the can down the road?
I hate how difficult it is to find a small EDC bag. It feels like every single backpack is designed to carry 60 kgs worth of assorted crap that you don't particularly care about (and are therefore willing to just chuck into a cavernous hole to jingle around unsecured) The fact that every single major backpack is still built for 15-17 inch laptops when basically no one uses those sizes any more is a dead giveaway that the industry has gotten stuck. I want a small bag that just fits a 13 inch laptop, tablet, and has pockets for a few smaller items. That's all. Why is this so hard to find?
The wool thing isn't actually "really true". Wool can soak up around 30-35% water of it's own weight and therefore feels dry and cozy even if kinda wet.
the way you list these products in the description is the most considerate thing i have seen from a youtube reviewer. (hugs and pounds and daps) MUCH appreciated

Dude! The varied shots and editing - & 15 bags in 30 minutes! - is NEXT LEVEL! Always amazing content! 👊

I appreciate the time stamps for each bag, could you start putting the price with them in the future it would be much appreciated!
The prices are high
OMFG!!!!!! That website is basically what I’ve been looking for
I love how your channel is progressing - the angles, the length of the videos, the variety of stuff you're reviewing... really happy for you. You're great at this. I want all of the bags.

I really like the quick pop outside to vary the presentation.
New to the channel but I love your content and energy. As far as packs, two functional water bottle pockets are a must for me, and I don't understand why so many companies are skimping on them. It's a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned.
Killer vid. Love the little break where you went outside. That felt good. Of course the info and detail always good. Thanks Chase!
Topo designs does a really good job with their zippers. They open and close easy and are BIG #10 YKK.
chase..... I know you are the bag guy, but the best advice you gave out last year was the DUER pants. I now have a bunch, thank you.
OMG, had to hit the "like" button soon as you said, "papers...business papers...man" lol! No idea what that's from but Love your videos!
Love the format Chase, the break in scenery halfway through was a great idea.

I have a United by Blue bag....and I love it!
What are some backpacks for school/work that you recommend? I’m a teacher who is in grad school.
i bought that thread international bag for my gf and she loves it. back when it was a kickstarter
You talk about the look of the bag but not the quality of the bags how tough they are
I enjoy your channel very much but can't watch it often because you make me want to buy them!
Just curious... why not include the Aer Day Pack?? Been looking at your videos recently for a minimal day pack and you almost got me convinced on the Aer but don't see included here.I'll add... kinda like the Mystery Ranch in this video... hmm... Mystery Ranch or Aer??
I just don’t have one in the studio right now.
love your hoodie..which brand would you like to share?
Can you do a college bag round up. Like laptop two textbooks and like lunch or a sweatshirt but easy to use
Have you checked out Lander bags? Rolltop AND full front loader zip, AND external water bottle compartment. 35L Traveler and 25L Commuter options. Would be interested in your opinion!

Soon! Using it currently.
Great Guy, Best Set of Bags ive found. 👍
I see you Chase! Nice review man!
Thanks for the video Chase!
Hey. I think the DISPATCH daypack can potentially be a great laptop bag well. BTW, I think all the laptop bags should be travel friendly--have a pass-through for your luggage.
Love the DSPTCH daypack. matterful.co/bag/dsptch-daypack/
Aaron Sun I’ve been using a dsptch daypack daily with a laptop. Love that bag.

Great video. Make some more vlogs man. Love hearing your two cents on randomness!
I think maybe some people like the rapid fire view, but I prefer your long form reviews.
🤙
Trying to find a backpack to take on sales calls that can hold a screw driver and a tape measure that won’t mess up my 12.9 iPad Pro lol and have a ridged bottom so if I drop the bag down to hard it doesn’t mess up the tablet
any budget photographer backpacks? or ones that look casual?
Love your work! Keep up the great vibes. :)
Your reviews have helped me buy some lifelong bags.
Any plan to get the new Minaal Rolltop, and Crossbody Sling? Thanks for another great video, and I dig the new editing techniques!
hoping they send one over soon!
"I want us to live in harmony with sheep" hahahaha
When you think you'll drop a review of the Thread International Day Owl Backpack? I'm close to buying it but waiting on your video!
The tagline for this video should be: “Minimal backpacks Baller watches” Is that a low-key Breguet flex? Ha ha, nice.
I really like the practicality in your reviews.
Needed this. When I found your channel I thought you were weird. Sub, bell & like 2 dozen vids later, I still think you are weird.
Great video, thanks for sharing.
What is that cool watch?
Thanks!
Dude, so when is your collaboration bag coming out? I’m buying it.
Hi Chase, I'd be very interested in your opinion on the Greenroom 136 Mission Attache and the Junkmonkey. As everyday carry backpack. Oh and also the Life Behind Bars Echelon, looks very promising
“Basic ass cordura”
Creating standards. I love it.
Can't decide between the Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 21/24, Prizefighter, and the Douchebags The Backpack, but I think this review might have just crossed out the Douchebags.

I just don't end up getting those bigger brands sending me stuff yet. More in the future likely.
Chase Reeves great content! And can’t wait to see what’s next.
Chase, what color is that Mystery Ranch Prizefighter bag? It looks halfway between the Gravel and Forest colors they offer on their site.
Must be forest. It’s pretty green.
the qwestion bag reminds me of the Brooks Pickwick line. would love to hear your thoughts on those! great video and humor as always.
Yo chase what brand hoodie is that. Looks fire as hell. Lmk if you like it too.
a merino thing from Western Rise. bag.gg/WestRise
@@chasereeves thx so much!

Great advice thanks
That Haerfest front pocket is going to just fill with water if it rains, right?
What hoodie are you wearing? Looking for a wool one currently.
Merino thing from Western Rise. Loving it. bag.gg/WestRise

Does the Mystery Ranch bag come with ear plugs?! Noisiest bag ever.
Keepin it crispy one day at a time.
Chase, I’m looking for something similar to the topo bag but with a little more of the waterfield bolt styling. Is there anything out there?
I was thinking I would see the Wandrd Duo - did it not make the cut? I'm really tempted by it but have not yet seen it in person. Yea, those liners. This is not the top 10 or anything. Just a new list I'm adding to matterful.co
@@chasereeves Nice, man... you are doing great! Thanks for all the content for those of us designers out there who have a bag "thing". I always look forward to lunch with Chase. Have a great day!

hey Chase, what can you say about the CamelBak Cornado 😉
What ipad did you put on the bellroy bag?
