Thx I just bought a pair of Mother of all boots 2 because I know Merell is outstanding. I had a pair of sneakers/skateshoes and although I never had Merells running shoes but I know it's world class. I usually use zero drop shoes as everyday shoes but I hope these can be my everyday shoes from late summer and on, so that I can always run whenever I want. So I will not hike in them per se but use them as just everyday commuter shoes that can take me for a run whenever.
Great review, lots of helpful information. Terrific enthusiasm especially enjoyed Harvey, He got super soaked at the second water jump. Trying to get my pup to be as well behaved on the trail as yours. Well done entire family! 😃
I have all Merrells right now. Some mids for winter hiking, Merrell MQM Flex (a trail runner) which I just wear all the time. I have Merrell Earth shoes. Never really warmed to these. They do make kid's shoes. You probably need a few more likes to get Merrell to send you some. :D Fun video. I can see why Harvey loves hiking--always an adventure with you two.
Harvey is the star. Cassie has great legs and Josh is just a talkative guy with old shoes. Thanks for the review, Sutton family. It helped a lot in my research for a wet trekking pair of shoes. I always liked the Merrell brand.
I came here for the Appalachian trail videos but watched this one first. What young child doesn’t love jumping in puddles and getting dirty?? Looks like y’all had a great time and the wet shoe review was appreciated!
I just bought a pair of low ventilaters. I width wider than regular.. if I buy regular width and wear a liner sock with a Dran tough sock or smart wool . Both in liight cushion. Do you know if they would stretch out to help stop blisters.. I had blisters last year with a another shoe. Ended up going to a podiatrist affetr hiking. I also have an Oboz boot in regular and it doesn't seem to stretch . I have hot spots with it. Even with 2 pairs of sock. Neat testing here.
They are actually still my choice shoe. I'm in a Hoka Speedgoat now, but only because they were out of my size when I desperately needed new shoes on trail. I will probably go back to a Merrell Moab when I need another pair in a few hundred miles.
My advice is to clean the mud off properly especially off the synthetic leather before you dry them. Mine started to perish prematurely because I didn't do this! I am actually wondering if there's some kind of conditioner one can spray on them to keep the plastic supple. Any advice?
Fun day - what kid doesn’t love to jump and splash in puddles?!!! Great testing for how the wet shoes weather in a day of extreme puddles AND great to know how fast those Merrills can dry 👍🏻
Their shoes are not the waterproof version at all. That’s the point of it! They want to try if those shoes are comfortable even when they are wet and how fast they dry. At the end, they kept saying the little boys boots are the only ones that are waterproof. It does not mean the boys feet are not soaking wet. Not the point of the experiment. The boys boots did not dry as fast as the parents because they are the waterproof version.
The goretex kids shoe was still wet.. vent shoes are dry... Plus Goretex only begins to work when damp in the shoe, so always damp and never dry.. Vent shoes always dry becourse ventilation and only wet when rain and dry quick
Love it, love it, love it!!! In this year the 100th anniversary of Chinese Communist Party #CCP, thrilled to know that Merrell is now owned by Anta of China #MadeInChina2025 #BeltAndRoad #BeijingOlympics2022 🇨🇳
Not 100% sure that is accurate. Anta made a deal with Wolverine World Wide (who owns Merrell) to open stores and sell them in China, but I don't believe they own them, just a partner in distribution. They do own Salomon and a bunch of other brands however (Arc'teryx, and Wilson among others) so nothing would surprise me.
I don’t care what shoes you have on if you submerge your shoes past the top of your socks you will get the inside wet. This is a completely useless test
I think you guys are a top shelf family. Love that you guys do all this together. Enjoy your beautiful lives together.
I hate this saying ''family goals'', but you guys are one beautiful happy looking family + with a great doggo! Nice video, keep on rocking!
Merrill are the only shoe I'll hike in. Have tried several different brands and for my feet and budget Merrill comes out on top.
My moabs usually last over a year as I hike everyday. Just got a new pair today👍There is now breaking in time for these.
Nice 👍

Little late, but the best shoe on the planet! Been using them since forever!

I have Merrills Moab ll as well and love them! 👍

We just hikes the whole AT in them and still love them! Well, we hiked in 5 pairs of them.
Great energy. I think you’re looking at the self view instead of the lens.
Is it ok to dry them up under direct sunlight?
I think so cuz we do it all the time.
It's made my mind up, thanks alot.

Daj znać jak z komfortem bo sam sie nad nimi zastanawiam :)

I'm curious to know after a year and being on the AT are these still your choice of shoes? If so how are they holding up?

@@livesutton thanks for that i for! I have the Merrell yokota 2 they are nice but too heavy and don't dry well. Will definitely get you moab now!

Looks like fun stuff. Go Harvey
Wife’s not very excited about getting her brand new hiking shoes wet!
Very fun video, i wanted to be splashing around with you!
Great video. Go Harvey ;)
Thanks 😊
Man, Harvey's mom is a cutie.
Hell yeah
I love merrills
These shoes don't sell for less than 1K!It must be of the best quality.
For the algorithm 🤓🥳💪👏🤙🤔😎
You guys are super cute!
A bit pointless. Should have tested the waterproofness first, then soak up.

I wish you were my dad but, I'm 45 lol 😆
That's funny
based
where is the dog's Merrell
BTW these are not swimming shoes ;)
Yep your right 👍
Proper kid . lol
Not even goretex? That must have sucked big time
We've decided that those shoes work really well and a rainstorm because once the Sun comes out they dry pretty quick
The goretex kids shoe was still wet.. vent shoes are dry... Plus Goretex only begins to work when damp in the shoe, so always damp and never dry.. Vent shoes always dry becourse ventilation and only wet when rain and dry quick
8 minutes I'll never get back
