Kenin was so mature in her approach to this tournament, and incredibly composed in the biggest moments. The coach and father of Sofia Kenin found a way to help out if his daughter is under-performing in one such match in tennis. If his daughter is losing, he moves to a seat right next to the coach of the opposing player without social distancing. This disturbs the tennis opponent of Kenin so much that she starts getting distracted and the opponent starts losing against Kenin.
God help women's tennis. With Serena slowly fading away, we need superstars to come to the forefront, so that they get media attention, television coverage and put fans in the seats. I don't see anyone capable of doing so right now. No one has captured the public interest like Serena, Chrissie, Billie Jean, Martina, Steffi, etc...
Actually women's tennis is very exciting right now with all the young talent winning the bulk of the last two years' majors and lots of new talent challenging them. Osaka, Andreescu, Kenin, Muchova, Gauf, Svitolina, Barty, Bencic, Bertens, Keys, Mertens. It's men's tennis that is a lot more stagnant, and a lot less interesting until the new ones dethrone Fed, Nadal & Djokovic.
@@Nirky Totally agree. I much prefer women's tennis. I'm sick of the mens 'big three'. The women have better, longer, more interesting and exciting rallies. Men's it all about power. Boring. Also women are more pleasing to this viewer's eye than hirsute men.

Muguruza lacks the killer instinct. Lets the is match get away from her. Letting Sofia gain confidence and not forcing her out of her comfort zone was not smart.
I didn’t realize muguruza handed Kenin the match with a double on break point and a double on championship point. Explains how Kenin hasn’t really followed up
One point out an entire tournament explains a player's entire career since then? What an ignoramus of a comment. Btw, she 'followed up' that major title by an appearance in the French Open final. - Это было хорошо!
This game reminds me of 1991 NBA finals. Bulls vs Lakers. Lakers won the first game, then got annihilated in the next four games. During the first set of this game, even though Muguruza won the first set. You know Kenin was brewing something nasty for the next sets, and the end is not gonna be good for Muguruza.
And where is she now in january 2023, 227 in rankings.
720p is a joke!
Kenin, thank you for your fighting spirit 🙏. Your determination is motivational 😘. I am glad you showed Muguruza, not mess with a really determined American 👍.
CONGRATULATIONS KENIN 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💥💥💥💥🙌🙌🙌🙌
You are a complete inspiration. Glad you stopped that walking magic from taking the title with her charms 😏
To a degree. But Garbines errors is what handed Sofia the win. Peoples likes makes them see things that may not be there but they build ideas and visions to favor their favorite. But most people are prejudice and bigoted so their visions appear accurate to them, even as to say Kenin is the only one with a "fighting spirit" and "determination" and that bullshit.
Nearly half of these highlights are the first set.
2 double faults on break and championship points in the 3rd set 🤦🏽♂️
Theres no plan b for muruguza
True! And towards the end Kenin completely broke Muguruza physically and mentally! Kenin's physical training is absolutely insane!
Am I the only one thought Muguruza was kind of rude--she never apologize for netballs and had too many ball tosses
I didn't care for Mugu turning her back on Kenin after going up 0-40 in the famous 5th game, but Kenin paid her back for it.
who is here after she loss in the french open final

When she loses no huggings just aCold hand shake ,that is kenin
Kenin reviewed an erratic Muguruza, Sofia struggled better.
Kenin is like a female Rosewall.
Double fault at match point and break points, that’s a choke
Too little too late! ESPN and other channel on UA-cam had a better highlight from the get go! Still pissed..
Better late than never for me. The Aussies have great announcers and this was nice to watch.
What is "highlight" means exactly.
That last double fault was INTENTIONAL
I have just watching some video from the 90s... No grunting, just quality and smart tennis with a high variety of styles..nowadays wta is boring as hell
Muguruza lacks the killer instinct. Lets the is match get away from her. Letting Sofia gain confidence and not forcing her out of her comfort zone was not smart.
women's tennis is very inconsistency, where is kenin now?
playing R4 of the us open, won first three matches in two sets, and won Lyon so? your pointv
Her face looks irritating, she became one hit wonder now lol
КУКУРУЗА.
This seems sped up lol. Someone edited this
Kenin is too selfish
It's a one-on-one game, how is she selfish?
Nowhere near the level of final us open 2020. Osaka vs vika
Injuries, Covid, and inconsistent form when healthy has been most of the story since then, but she's hardly finished and just won a tournament last year and is in the 3rd rd. at Wimbledon.
@@kevinlakeman5043 her competitive spirit is by far her greatest asset which is to say her game in general lacks distinction or weapons. good for her reaching R3, luckily we have plenty of other options to watch at this point in the draw still.

20:53 when u find out that u are playing some one that doesn’t miss and hits winner on you every point
Mhmm that’s why Kenin got annihilated 6-0 6-0 by azarenka
What makes this even more remarkable is there is video of her as a little girl saying she will win a slam
Muguruza totally lost the match and momentum as she couldn't break Kenin from 40-0 lead in final set
Once Kenin learns to volley, she might be really something!
