There’s a reason the History Channel has produced hundreds of documentaries about Hitler but only a few about Dwight D. Eisenhower. Bad guys (and gals) are eternally fascinating. Behind the Bastards dives in past the Cliffs Notes of the worst humans in history and exposes the bizarre realities of their lives. Listeners will learn about the young adult novels that helped Hitler form his monstrous ideology, the founder of Blackwater’s insane quest to build his own Air Force, the bizarre lives of the sons and daughters of dictators and Saddam Hussein’s side career as a trashy romance novelist.
New episodes twice a week on iHeartRadio.

And the last thing mentioned was that when Vince ran into the ring pissed off at a screwed up match outcome and blew his quads, this was in 2005 so a lot more has happened since then. Amazing that of all the bastards covered, most have had 2 parts, a couple have had three parts, Vince had 6 and there's still more that could be covered. It could be argued that the length was due to all the wrestling history that was covered as well.

owen hart's accident was totally and complete negligence. it came out in the court case, vince could have hired the same stunt coordinator who does sting in wcw. HOWEVER!!! he was deemed to costly. so they decided to hire a cheap, less experienced stunt guy who used cheaper equipment for owen. if you ever watched sting in wcw, when he descends. it takes him several minutes to unhook himself. why? because he is thoroughly safely secured.

On the Bret Hart Shane Michaels dispute. Michaels refused to job to Bret Hart, when he held the title at one time, he temporary retired from the business, saying he lost his smile and vacated the title before. He always refused to lose to Bret. And at the Montreal screwjob, if you saw the original live broadcast, you saw McMahon at ringside yelling at the referee to call for the bell. And the following re-broadcast later that night, as well as in all repeats of this broadcast they showed this scene from a different camera angle so you didn't see what MaMahon was doing at ringside. I can't blame Hart as he always had to lose the belt to Michaels while Michaels always got away with not having to lose the title to him. When Michaels later defended the title against Stone Cold Steve Austin, people were concerned that Michaels would refuse to job, and the Undertaker, Vince's locker room enforcer, went to Michaels and told him he would get hurt if tried to pull any stunts and not drop the belt to Austin.

So hey, you know what's interesting here? Interesting about what you're all saying?
Remember the part of this where they're talking about Vince's pathetic and manipulative tactic of trying to throw someone's entire point under the bus by pointing out irrelevant mistakes by saying "looks like your memory isn't so good" after they only mixed up irrelevant details like the name Barry vs the name Larry, when there's a person named Larry right in the room which clearly threw them off? You know, how he was arguing completely unrelated, base-level semantics to manipulate people and distract away from what the actual point is by being irrelevantly pedantic?
Yeah, that is basically all of you right now. Trying to distract from what's being said here, by pedantically pointing out common and basic tiny mistakes and semantics that have nothing to do with the actual point of what's being said, to try and make yourself look smarter than you are, or make yourselves look like you have a point when you have none.
"UHHH AKSHULLEY IT WAS 2007, NO 2008 LIKE SHAAA GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT BRO HUHUHUHUH"

The Sheik vs Andre match happened in 1971, not 1969. at 19 minutes in, its mentioned that a member of the Full Blooded Italians (FBI) was repackaged as a terrorist character after 9/11. That is false. Muhammad Hassan (Marc Copani) was never a member of the Full Blooded Italians. He just happened to be Italian. Also, the character did NOT start off as a terrorist character. His promos were about how Arab Americans were also Americans. The audience didn't like that, so the audience treated him as a heel, despite his promos on tolerance. 3 days before the London bombings in 2005, he was part of a terrorist angle. That episode aired on the day of the attack. His character was forced off network tv, never to be seen again, and he was quietly released.

fun fact about Desert Storm: the Iraqis used nerve agents delivered via artillery twice against US Marines, and then Congress covered it up by calling the Marines in the M93s bad at their jobs. More fun fact: Iraqi armored vehicles were considered such a non-threat that Marines started experimenting with firing TOWs beyond the wire distance. They'd drive up to the max range and then reverse a specific distance before firing the TOW.

And of course, everyone knows Andre just because of the Princess Bride. I just listened because I like this podcast. But fuck dude...this saga is fucking brutal. About the Bret Hart thing, he'd also offered to lose the title to Mick Foley or Steve Austin, even as soon as the very next night after Survivor Series.
WWE and Vince push this narrative like they HAD to do it, otherwise Hart would take the title to WCW the next night, when Hart was under contract for another couple of weeks.
If he could've shown up on WCW the next night, you can bet that WCW would've had him there. But it was about a month or so before he made an appearance, and it was January before he was legally allowed to have a match rather than just appear on the show.

The idea for the finish of the match came from jim cornette because vince challenged him to come up with a finish to the shawn bret match. Vince didn't know what to do.
