Can you play This Must Be The Place by Arcade Fire? This Must Be The Place is by The Talking Heads.
+Daniel Conway Love that movie
+Robert Taber Good taste :)
Right, but there ain't no "the." It's just Talking Heads.
You’re delusional
Pussy
This is such a sad/happy song. It has that longing feel but also says that we're exactly where we need to be. It's such a beautiful song... I love it....
and so far I'm liking this cover a lot
One of the best love songs ever written
my tastes change like the wind but today these are the best lyrics ever. i forgot how much i loved this song. like falling in love all over again with a man youve been married to for years. thanks for this video!
10 years in the future now.
Has something changed for you?
@@facu_avm change is the only constant
David Byrne himself has said "I don't believe vocals that are pitch perfect". Real music is not "the Voice" or "AI" folks. As redifreddy says above, Dylan and Neil Young are just 2 examples of singers with poor pitch, but with great "feel", who can actually write great songs.
Given that the Talking Heads were all about musical experimentation, and that DB has actually appeared on stage with AF to perform this very song, I think its safe to say AF hit the nail on the head with this adaptation.
ch1nmuzak perfectly said...I won’t embarrass myself by even trying to add to that!
Hit the nail on the Talking Head
My heart feels tender and open.
I’m still here and so, you reading this, are you.
This is everything a cover should be. Magnificent.
It's nice to know that David Byrne actually likes Arcade Fire in real life, and they're good friends as well.
Wild concept folks, I love the original and this cover. What a shock.
I'm so proud of being in the select group of people that know how to appreciate this song
Have you seen the live version. Unbelieveable!
ua-cam.com/video/7J-900xpiI0/v-deo.html enjoy buddy👌 let me know what you think
guess u must have be havin fun
@@callouslimerence perhaps!
Jealous!
We really loved your clip. You need to make many more
I love David Byrne and i think that he should be recognizer by more people. ..
I'm in agreement with you. His solo music with Brian Eno is as good as anything
Home is where I want to be
Pick me up and turn me round
I feel numb, burn with a weak heart
I guess I must be having fun
The less we say about it the better
Make it up as we go along
Feet on the ground
Head in the sky
It's ok I know nothing's wrong... nothing
Hi yo I got plenty of time
Hi yo you got light in your eyes
And you're standing here beside me
I love the passing of time
Never for money
Always for love
Cover up + say goodnight... say goodnight
...
Home, is where I want to be
But I guess I'm already there
I come home, she lifted up her wings
Guess that this must be the place
I can't tell one from another
Did I find you, or you find me?
There was a time before we were born
If someone asks, this where I'll be where I'll be
Hi yo we drift in and out
Hi yo sing into my mouth
Out of all those kinds of people
You got a face with a view
I'm just an animal looking for a home
Share the same space for a minute or two
And you love me till my heart stops
Love me till I'm dead
Eyes that light up, eyes look through you
Cover up the blank spots
Hit me on the head ah ooh

A great version of this song...and I normally hate remakes, this makes me so happy. =]
This ramke makes me sad. The most sadness person in the world. Even could try to rip off my b4lls whe i hear it.
Most interesting cover I've heard yet. I like it, I like it a lot 😜
great cover, AF puts its energy and creativity in it, not just copying. Great !!!
awesome I love the talking heads but this is very interesting and original we need more new wave influence in music today
I'm a talking heads of old fan, and love arcade fire too. Great rendition. I like their twist on a lovely song.
Wherever I want 2 be = Omnipresence
I just thumb up this video because I admire David Byrne's music work. I don't know what happened to his voice here but he's a genius anyways.
+Dominique Ríos This is Arcade Fire lol
+Robert Taber says ft. david byrne
FEET ON THE GROUND, HEAD IN THE SKY! no head in the sky, feet on the ground
I fucking love this.
Nice cover
Oh yeah yeah
You're a fucking genius, mate. Thanks for making my day. Beautiful...:)
Very nice.
Wiki says David Byrne IS doing these vocals!
As far as covers go this is perfect and so reverent. May even surpass the original for its delicateness
Great cover! You're a great artist, I enjoyed this video very much! Poor Win sounds like he is sick, though still a great cover!
love
I wonder what kinda drive he uses for that tone on his guitar. Goes to show easy repetitive music lines can be cranked by adjusting you preamps.
You don't have to be a "legendary" guitarer to be an AWESOME one
You are some clown. David Byrne featured vocals on this track because he adores Arcade Fire.
super cute song
good stuff!
Talking Heads was really something special
Good band!
i actually like it
I love arcade fire but I think I'm gonna have to go with the original song
If someone asks....THIS is where I'll be.
I love this version of Naive Melody. Dat voice.
Wall Street by Oliver Stone brought me here.
His voice man, it's sunding like he really needs to clear his throat but never does it. Kind of annoyong but still wonderfull to listen to.
I love everything else about this cover, just always wondered why Win's voice sounded so strained. Maybe if it wasn't you wouldn't constantly get Talking Heads fans repeatedly calling it "Awful" or "Horrible".
I believe David was guest singer in this
some parts of it sound like Win though, so idk
dat shit be cray
That was David Byrne and The Cure. Search for this.
talking heads did pretty good cover of this
They're the original artists.
@@jackslater230011 That's the joke
spot on freddy. takin heads version is better , but this is a great cover though. arcade fire are the best musicians these days.
For some reason this reminds me of Winnie the Pooh. Maybe it's his voice.
David Byrne wrote the song, whilst Talking Heads were still together. So, it's no surprise really that he sings on this. Regardless, not a bad cover.
Great Cover.. almost original
David Byrne is in this? I can't hear him. I only hear the Arcade Fire singer.
Listen to the bit where the lyrics is " love me till my heart stops" you can him there. This is badly mixed heh.
such a underrated film.. many people claim they like it just because of Sean Penn, thus completely ignoring the underlying magic and meaning. but anyway, good choice ;)
What happened to Win's voice?
Probably the only band that could ever attempt to cover this and get away with it. Just.
treeisthemagiclumber I can't even hear the fucking singer. he sounds like he's had one too many cigarettes
Ethan Garcia that is david byrne lmao
I like the real one.
I like ‘em both
D byrne sang with them, I would think that means soething
I love Arcade Fire to death, but there is a difference between not sounding perfect and sounding horrible. It sounds like he has a fucking stoma.
I saw David last year or a two ago and he sounded nothing like this, I doubt it is him singing.
im just an animal lookin for a home...
Omg so much negativity. It’s a great cover. Relax everyone knows it’s a talking heads song.
This is great but Perpetual Groove is the best cover
Same here ! I liked that movie the original song is a little better...
Saw talking heads and arcade fire live do this song. David Byrne gave his blessing, so do I
David Byrne should have dropped it down an octave, he's not 25 anymore. Otherwise great song.
@EvenZappa hehehe
NOTHING Arcade Fire does is pointless. Nothing. I love Talking Heads. I saw them when they just started out in a small little dive in New Town Chicago. But as innovative and ahead of their time, they helped spawn Arcade Fire but AF took the torch and ran with it and left Talking Heads in the dust.
Nah I love Talking Heads version more. This is alright
Best version, after the original of course
Wish he could sing the words right though....
Instrumentals up until the vocals were spectacular. Then this guy comes singing like a smoker on his deathbed. Holy fuck dude.
Its a shame when an iconic song is covered and not done justice.
I love both bands, but I'm not feeling this at all.
Anybody who thinks this is an original, trust me, you are delusional.
Helps to have a voice before ya sing
This version is so fucked it makes the Lumineers version tolerable.
wow this is bad haha
C'est super ! qu'est ce que vous racontez ?
Horrible. I'm offended.
kitty vargas I'm offended by your shitty personality.
HAHAHAHHA wtf? 😂 0-100 real quick. Take a nap dude
This cover is a bit of a Dumpster Fire.
My god, this is horrible!
the vocals are quite bad.
My god this cover sounds bad, is the singer dying?
What a way to ruin a wonderful song. The vocalist is truly awful. Although this claims to feature David Byrne, he is obviously not singing.
They can't even claim to be amateurs, which would give them a plausible excuse..
No me gusta.
this is...pretty terrible
Gotta be honest. This is really horrible. Instrumentation is great. The voice is truly awful.
This guy can't sing.....
this version sucks tbh
Bad
