Ooh look! 🤩 Shiny new Lardy book!
I must resist. I must resist. I must resist…
You know what Alex, talking of size was it Peter Pig who said on their website that their NVA figures were purposely sculpted smaller to reflect that the Vietnamese soldier was a bit slighter than the average US soldier? Wonder if that’s the reason.
Yeah, I read that on their website as well. Unfortunately it's the US that are too small. I did think about using them as the ARVN, maybe?
@@StormofSteelWargaming ah! Well that’s a shame. Aye maybe ARVN? Hmmm.
Getting closer to a CDS battle report!!
Step by step!
Nice update! I already bought my copy of the Far East update. Looking forward to your first look!
Great update enjoy your bank holiday 🤠🤠🤠
Nice! I really liked the little C of C I tried and Asia WW2 is interesting too.
I see a High on Fire shirt 👀🤘Death id this Communion was the soundtrack to many months dogging in the fens. Also, great update, inreally need to try COC again at some point
Great band, but I don't want to know what you got up to whilst dogging on the fens or anywhere...
You really should, my war room is always open if you're ever up this way for some lessons.
@@StormofSteelWargaming well.... That's an unfortunate error 😅
Blimey, Dex seems to play the Japanese better than he does the Soviets!
Still an element of luck.
@@theDexMcHenry Humble in victory!
Keep up the great work. Also going to be doing Hong Kong. There are loads of ideas for great scenarios in the sources.
Cheers! Yeah, it's an interesting mini campaign isn't it?
Alex, re figures being too large for Peter Pig miniatures. Have you tried a hair dryer on hot on your printed minis? Works a treat on mine: shrinks them virtually immediately. Mind you I have not tried it with painted ones...
LOL, it's an interesting technique, but not one I want to risk...
Small US Marine figures? I mean, you need a tunnel rat or two in the platoons, right?
Absolutely looking forward to the Far East review (I mean, I could miss something in my perusal...once the pre-order arrives!). That Dex is wily!
Is the Ruse tactic really best employed (or can only be employed) in head to head games (as opposed to solo), Alex?
You'll love it! The Ruse is good to use in both solo or head to head, but works much better in head to head...
@@StormofSteelWargaming Thanks, Alex!
How do you base your individual 15mm figures? I'm considering getting stuck into 15mm chain of command, but I'm stuck on basing
I use 15mm diameter mdf bases from Warbases. For leaders I use pennies or 20mm mdf bases, so they stand out in games a bit.
I've got some 3 D Breed 8th Army figures ready to paint up once my free pdf arrives. Great deal with a free PDF copy included with pre-ordered books.
Look forward to hearing your views on the new book and the battle reports :)
They will work perfectly for the early part of the war.
