The TISWAS 1981 Halloween special with special guests Ian Gillan and John McCoy. Here we have an Ian Gillan/ Mc Coy interview and competition with Sally James , the Nightmare video, apple bobbing with Ian, John and Buster Bloodvessel and a pie contest with John McCoy, Toyah Wilcox and Simon Le Bon - and a rare appearance of Sylvester McCoy and John Mc Coy together!
Lovingly cobbled together from an old video tape - the only TisWas I ever recorded solely due to the fact that the band Gillan were on it!

It's easy to forget just what a great presenter Sally James was. As kids, I think we imagined these shows just made themselves, but the professionalism amidst the chaos is amazing. James remembered every detail of everything she had to say, and made it look effortless.

There were lots of A list musicians on Tiswas back in the day. I think it was Robert Plant who went on there and later made a very valid point that these rockers young children would have been fans of Tiswas and were guesting on the show for their kids benefit

When the Nightmare video came up, I knew for sure this was an episode I'd seen when it went out! (Nightmare - Source of the first Gillan Wail to lodge itself in my head - as firmly as the killer whale that lodged itself in the London Docklands)
