@@hokage102364 Apparently you’re not invading unless you begin shouting then challenge the enemy to a 1v1 that they will never accept which they would then proceed to kill you with their friends. Then there is me with my dex/arc build going around stealth killing people like MGS.
@@Troglodytarum There's a big difference between invading and dueling, in invasions anything goes in order to kill the host, it was their fault they didn't notice a red tinted invader IN AN OPEN FIELD.

I did something very mean with my friend in ds3. Basicly create the same character. Same name, Same slides same equipment i would then invade or duel red sign my buddy. I'd wear the host ring (as invader) and my buddy a the coop ring (as host). He'd then summon a random dude. Random dude would casually walk up to us. Seemingly like a funny coop playthrough. But when we started to progress through the level they might find a hornet ring Chaos dagger in their back. This revealing the prank and unequipping our rings.
That's how it was for me back in Dark Souls 1. My first victory was when I ambushed someone while disguised as a barrel. Then after that I couldn't stop, I killed so many, gathered so much humanity for the Fair Lady, I understand the knight of thorns now...
Very surprised she decided to try out invading! But very happy, as I have spent many hours invading in previous games. So many people end up experiencing one or two invasions they didn't like and then cultivate a hatred for people engaging with the mechanic, so it's very refreshing to see someone try it out and have fun!
For me, my dislike of the invasion system comes from not being able to opt out without playing offline and completely disconnecting from the rest of the community. I don't enjoy having my progress randomly stonewalled by PvP, especially with the number of times I was invaded by twinks using absurdly overpowered builds and weapons or spells. If there was more of a choice to it, I would be more inclined to view it in a positive light. I've done a few duels that were fun, neither of us healed. But most of the time I'm just getting trolled and it's not fun.

I know Fromsoft doesn't want to give up the chase part of the invasion while you are progressing, but I don't feel like the game is really made for it and it would be better if that kind of invasion would just give invasion weapons and skills like being able to hide and ambush more. With another actual pvp invasion where you bring your own stuff being a different opt in thing.
