      I hear you, but what makes me feel a little better about Ali's obvious brain damage that he obviously suffered because of boxing is, he got to spend the last 30 years of his life, in peace, with his children, and grand children, surrounded by people who loved him and took care of him... He earned that.. A warrior deserves to live his remaining years after war or battle,... In peace.. And he did

      @@GeorgecortCortina I am not going to argue whether he should or shouldn't have gone ? Personally I think he should have served but he did make a good point that here in America he couldn't even go into several eating establishments and sit down and have lunch. I mean yes I think he should have served but isn't it bad when people talk about doing it for America and the American Way which stands for freedom and people of color are expected to serve and yet when they return home they wouldn't have even been able to go into some establishments. I mean I know of a lot of White people that got out of it with by either joining the guard or having a Doctor diagnosed them with something that would pretty much keep them from being drafted. Bill Clinton dodging didn't hurt or keep him from being President.

      @martindunstan8043 2 роки тому +1

      You have completely misinterpreted 'rope a dope' as if this single action were to blame for the cognitive decline in Ali. The technique used by Ali was to exhaust Foreman by allowing him to hit his arms and sides as hard as he could, he did not lean against the ropes taking constant head shots. This tactic turned out to be very effective and Foreman tired leaving a fresher Ali able to dominate and win the rumble in the jungle. If Ali had suffered ruptured internal organs and multiple rib breaks then you may have had a point otherwise study the actual bout and you will find Ali took fewer shots to the head with Foreman than the majority of his other fights.
