I never roll under a ladder (I’m in a wheelchair, so I gotta roll. 😂) I never let anybody open umbrellas in the house (I can’t open them myself.) If you break a mirror, you’ll have 7 years of bad luck. I take that one seriously, because Lord have mercy, I don’t need anymore bad luck! 😳 That’s all I can think of at this moment. My husband is currently teaching me how to grill, which is nice to learn, it is turning on the grill that messes me up. I am superstitious with a lot- umbrellas inside, broken mirrors, saying quiet at work when it is quiet and you know that is when all hell breaks lose especially around a full moon!! I am like you, all the things - no umbrellas in the house, no steping on cracks, knocking on wood, Friday the 13th and black cats, broken mirrors, you name it. Let me tell you, now that your son is growing and eating you out of house and home, it doesn't stop! My son will be 23 next month and he still eats all that and more. It could be a girl that he wants to impress BUT it could just be that he see's his friends doing things and wants to do the same. If there's a girl, he won't exactly tell you BUT he will say something different that will tell it all. I do grill but my son actually does it more than I do, he loves to cook, especially grill. Broken mirrors, walking under ladders, and spilled salt were 3 superstitions we had growing up. After my divorce, I had to teach myself how to grill. Now, in the warmer months, I am always grilling. Favorite Baked Mac-n-cheese, otherwise Kraft (it's a comfort food)😂
New subscriber here. That was a fun WIP n Chat! I have some unconscious superstitions like crossing my fingers when I am hopeful about something or knocking on wood when I don't want to jinx myself. I also will pick up pennies off the ground for "good luck" (not since the pandemic, tho), refrain from opening umbrellas indoors, and avoid splitting the pole. If I can't have real, baked Mac n Cheese, I actually agree with Mr. Coffee and gotta have that Kraft with the powder cheese. I am a theatre kid(adult) so my superstitions are mainly involving the theatre. Like I won’t name the Scottish Play whilst in the theatre, and of course have to make sure the ghost light is on when we close down for the night. Also, if my family and I are having box mac and cheese, it’s going to be Stouffer’s! That’s the best one! My daughter likes the Annie’s white cheddar Mac and cheese, but she’s 7 and doesn’t know better yet lol Also, I love grilling. I really don’t get to do it much, unless I’m at my dad’s or up at the family home in cape cod, but I love to do it! 😊(that was legit my third one lol)

No box mac and cheese for me. I make it in the instant pot with gouda, cheddar, asiago, parmesan, and romano. Throw in evaporated milk, butter, a bit of salt, and ground mustard and you have a delicious gooey mac and cheese! :-) - JustAGirlinNH
I just talked to my thearpist this week about my kids not needing me. I have 4 and they are all now successful adults which is great but most of my adult years I was a mom and now I am not.
🎉 I will have to agree with Mr. Coffee. I have head the craft deluxe, I have had the velvita, and the baked mac and cheese. None of them taste as good texture wise or "cheese" wise as the boxes with the powder cheese.

About the only superstition i have is no open umbrella in the house, as for grilling i do all the grilling but i prefer charcoal,no gas for me. Mac and cheese, im not a big mac and cheese person, but yeah its the powder but i use extra butter. 🥰

Not very superstitious but there are lots tied to the Lunar New Year. For an auspicious year, clean the house, cut your hair before the new year , no knives on the day of are some that we follow in my household. 😢

I really enjoyed listening to you while working on my diamond painting. I don't know how superstitious I am, and while the #13 doesn't really bother me, it appears to bother me on a subconscious level. I work from home as a medical transcriptionist and as I send work back in batches, I make sure I don't send a group of 13 reports back OR keep a group of 13 left to type. So, if I have 26 to type, They'll go back in a groups of 14 and 12. Guess I'm trying to avoid some bad luck or something. As far as Mac & Cheese, I prefer the Deluxe or Velveeta. I'll eat the stuff with the powdered cheese, but it is at the bottom of the list for Mac & Cheese. I've grilled burgers and stuff on the grill, but my husband has to get it going. I do the actual cooking on it so he doesn't burn everything. XD
Off the top of my head I can't think of anything I'm superstitious about, but it's late and I got almost no sleep last night😂. We're going to try and file our taxes ourselves this year. We've always taken them to HR block and they charge a butt load for filing "as a family". Also used to do steps on the Wii fit board and crochet at the same time so maybe an idea for crafting while walking. I do help grill. Yes, it was Saturday with the Mac and cheese because I also made Mac and cheese and put a pic of mine in discord😂
🎂🎂🎂🎂 My superstitions are walking under ladders and if I see a crow, I have to cross it out and say "1 for sorrow". I like Kraft Mac & Cheese but the best Mac & cheese is homemade. I boil the macaroni, fry bacon and crumble it up and shred cheddar cheese. Put it on a dish for the oven, put in half of the macaroni, then all the bacon, 3/4 of the cheese, then rest of macaroni and top with rest of cheese. Put tinfoil on it and bake for 1 hr on 350F. Now I'm freaking hungry. 😅😅😅😅

I can't go in a dark bathroom. When I lived in an apt. with a bathtub. I couldn't go to the bathroom with the shower curtain closed. The one time I did, my cat flew out of the bathtub at 3 in the am. Toes can't hang over the bed. So they don't get eaten. Closet door must be closed at night.
I would NEVER open an umbrella in the house. Also broken mirrors - super bad luck. What kind of bus do your (did your) kids ride? We had like 30 kids on our bus.
Hi Mrs Coffee! I’m not superstitious really. But I like the powdered Mac and cheese. But I buy the one with spiral noodles and orange cheese, but I also buy the white cheddar Mac and put that cheese on the spiral noodles. Then I scramble some hot Jimmy Dean sausage and mix it in there. And sometimes I’ll crunch up some sour cream and onion lays chips into the whole thing. I live alone so I don’t have anyone to whine about what I put in my Mac and cheese! 💜💋😃🧇

LOL Baked Mac and Cheese for the win. However I don’t make that except for the holidays or special occasions so Deluxe Mac and cheese is way better than kraft with the powder. And I remember one more question and I don’t open umbrellas in the house and I cringe when someone splits a pole when walking with me. 🤣 I guess I’m always laughing at someone since that is my third emoji in the phone 🤣

Not very superstitious but there are lots tied to the Lunar New Year. For an auspicious year, clean the house, cut your hair before the new year , no knives on the day of are some that we follow in my household. 😢

I really enjoyed listening to you while working on my diamond painting. I don't know how superstitious I am, and while the #13 doesn't really bother me, it appears to bother me on a subconscious level. I work from home as a medical transcriptionist and as I send work back in batches, I make sure I don't send a group of 13 reports back OR keep a group of 13 left to type. So, if I have 26 to type, They'll go back in a groups of 14 and 12. Guess I'm trying to avoid some bad luck or something. As far as Mac & Cheese, I prefer the Deluxe or Velveeta. I'll eat the stuff with the powdered cheese, but it is at the bottom of the list for Mac & Cheese. I've grilled burgers and stuff on the grill, but my husband has to get it going. I do the actual cooking on it so he doesn't burn everything. XD

Off the top of my head I can't think of anything I'm superstitious about, but it's late and I got almost no sleep last night😂. We're going to try and file our taxes ourselves this year. We've always taken them to HR block and they charge a butt load for filing "as a family". Also used to do steps on the Wii fit board and crochet at the same time so maybe an idea for crafting while walking. I do help grill. Yes, it was Saturday with the Mac and cheese because I also made Mac and cheese and put a pic of mine in discord😂

🎂🎂🎂🎂 My superstitions are walking under ladders and if I see a crow, I have to cross it out and say "1 for sorrow". I like Kraft Mac & Cheese but the best Mac & cheese is homemade. I boil the macaroni, fry bacon and crumble it up and shred cheddar cheese. Put it on a dish for the oven, put in half of the macaroni, then all the bacon, 3/4 of the cheese, then rest of macaroni and top with rest of cheese. Put tinfoil on it and bake for 1 hr on 350F. Now I'm freaking hungry. 😅😅😅😅

I can't go in a dark bathroom. When I lived in an apt. with a bathtub. I couldn't go to the bathroom with the shower curtain closed. The one time I did, my cat flew out of the bathtub at 3 in the am. Toes can't hang over the bed. So they don't get eaten. Closet door must be closed at night.
I would NEVER open an umbrella in the house. Also broken mirrors - super bad luck. What kind of bus do your (did your) kids ride? We had like 30 kids on our bus.

You are not alone, my husband dose not know how to grill as well. It always has to be me doing it when we are having an event or people over.
Hi Mrs Coffee! I’m not superstitious really. But I like the powdered Mac and cheese. But I buy the one with spiral noodles and orange cheese, but I also buy the white cheddar Mac and put that cheese on the spiral noodles. Then I scramble some hot Jimmy Dean sausage and mix it in there. And sometimes I’ll crunch up some sour cream and onion lays chips into the whole thing. I live alone so I don’t have anyone to whine about what I put in my Mac and cheese! 💜💋😃🧇
I don't have children but I have two nephews and their Mom always said they would eat supper and then 2 hours later would need a snack.

lol that groundhog can’t live forever. I’m superstitious I don’t do umbrellas in the house, broken mirrors, and if I lie to get out of family stuff I never say I’m sick or my car broke down. I feel like it’ll happen if I lie about it lol. You’d think trampoline park would’ve been his first pick.
