That reflective insulation sound barrier you used looks to be the same as mine. I used this material on my companionway engine cover and was amazed at how well it worked for its sound and heat transfer qualities.
The stuff we’re using is Reflectix. I think there is a different version for engine sound dampening. If you used the same stuff (reflectix), let me know. I need to add sound barrier to my engine rooms also. 😉
Super great job on the headliner panel. I did a similar job for my vehicle, I found that the glue eventually let go on the velcro. I ended up putting some very small screws with washers in and the velcro on everything stayed on then.
What was the material you used and attached the Vinyl to? I'm hunting around for light weight options for our catamarans removable panels. Great videos btw!
@@SaltyEscape if you epoxy them (the batons ) in it will be very strong and give you something better to screw into. We just made all the cabinets for our house , so we can sell it. The table saw you have is brilliant for doing this work.
Looks great! Well done!
Thanks. It’s really coming together. 😁
20" LOL that was awesome! looks great!
Haha! Thanks Tammy and Todd! I’m so excited to see your family splash!!

Sounds smart... We’re a little nervous about the lifespan of the adhesive.
Awesome job looks beautiful!
Thank you!!! Just three more cabins to go... 😬

I think that was a Masonite. I found it at Home Depot.
Nice result. I'm doing a similair headliner project. How well did the velco hold up?
The Velcro held up poorly. 😂 we ended up screwing it up.
not gonna lie, given how much research you guys do on everything else, i legitimately thought Corey's 20 inches thing was for real. damnit.
That was funny.. 🤣
nice video, I'm about to do the same thing so doing some research. :)
Great job!!!
Thanks Rob! It’s a big project but nowhere near as big as your project! 😉
A "V" Shape Cut when going around corners will solve the problem
Thank you! All tips and tricks are appreciated! -Corey
Your template, is a nice copy from Ross from Life on the Hulls.
Hi Amanda! My Template? I’ve never seen “life on the hulls”. I’ll check them out.
@@SaltyEscape Really, he's great, building a Cat and is a master at glasswork and boat yoga
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you Michael
Might have been easier to have put Batons and then hang the cabinet to that.
Yeah... I have 3 more cabins to go, so I may go a different approach next time. Thank you!
