I feel like politicians should get harder sentences for their actions just based on the fact that they're responsible for the laws and procedures that govern this country. Should they be caught doing anything illegal, their punishments should be harder.
Put boobert on the registry! Why is she being given a slap on the wrist for giving her boyfriend an over the top handy at a 10+ theater show? As a matter of fact i think she should get more for being a politician
I'd settle for just... Them being held accountable. That, or we get the same treatment they do. But yeah, there should be some added charge like dereliction to duty or something.
they should, all professionals (for example medical as well as criminal/judicial) should be held to a higher standard and be held accountable when they go against the standards they are sworn to uphold. and the laws are actually made to punish these people more for doing these types of things but the judges are allowed to exercise personal judgement beyond what the law recommends and if they get caught in a municipality that the corrupt official works/lives in..... pretty high chance of charges not being amplified as they really should.
Last year the mayor of Maywood IL was arrested for dui after he was found asleep at the wheel in the middle of the expressway in Chicago but CPD didn’t breathalyze him so there wasn’t enough evidence for a charge. He’s still the mayor. Would love to see the bodycam footage from that
Can confirm. I'm from a small town just outside Fort Wayne. You get pulled over *all the time* especially at night, because the cops are just bored or trying to make quota or whatever. I got pulled over by the same cop twice in the same night for a headlight being out, once on my way to the store and then again on the way back. In big cities like Chicago (where I live) Mayors and aldermen, travel with staff, security, and a driver. They never are in a position to be behind the wheel intoxicated. In small towns you might catch the local mayor or sheriff driving home drunk.

It's always funny when they say the BAC because here it's usually calculated in one thousands and not %. So it gets me everytime. "Cmon .15 isn't that much." Ohhhhhh it would be 1.5 here. Never effing mind.
no, in europe o.5 g/l is the max amount to drive (2 0.33 beers) or 0, so when they say .15 it sounds low i was confused too, but apparently there’s different measurements
@@whatsthevibebro9523 That's literally what I said. Always appreciate someone "correcting" when they don't bother to read a comment properly. Here it would be 1.5 (per mill) which is the same as .15% cause math.

ok but some pedestrians seem to try and kill themselves… i was about to turn left at a 4 way stop the other day, and saw a lady crossing in front of a car turning in front of me. i made a note to watch out for her as i turned. i had the right of way, looked both ways twice, and as i was finishing my turn onto the street, the lady started walking out while looking down at her phone. i braked just in time and she flipped her shit on me
These police officers should be promoted or at least have the pay increased for this, not lose their jobs. It really shows just how corrupt the US government is when people who do the right thing in the government are punished, and those who do the wrong thing in the government are rewarded.
they're saying that the traffic light is red where the pedestrian is crossing. There may not have been a crosswalk light saying walk/don't walk but either way, when you're turning left, as a driver, you're required to make sure no one is crossing as you turn into the crosswalk.
