Nice Video. Just a small thing that you got wrong. For Nimble Trapfinder you need to have at least 4 Creatures in play to have a full party. Since One creature can only be counted as Rogue, Wizard, Warrior or Cleric and not as all four of them.
Help me understand this a bit more. If a creature is EVERY creature type why can't it not count as all at once for that condition if that creature is all types?
@@saltyalters The party Mechanic needs you to pick one creature for each of the four creature types. However once you picked a creature as Rogue you can't pick the same creature to represent a Warrior, Wizard or Cleric. That means you need four Creatures to represent the four members of a Party. I think it was designed that way, to avoid that creatures with Changeling can be used as a whole Party.
6:21 an everything counter will not mean you have a full party with 1 creature. Should be the same ruling for shapeshifters and Burakos. They can only count as one thing at a time whenever it is checking, but they would benefit from lord type any number of times.
One small point of caution with Feline Sovereign: if Omo has an everything counter herself, she cannot then target the Sovereign to give it a counter. It could also mess with other targeted abilities. It's still probably worth running, but it's something to be aware of. Edit to add: And if you want to hand out everything counters to opponents' creatures, make sure you're careful about including certain slivers (the old ones were symmetrical).
This was probably the single deck I was super excited for when I saw the decklist. I cut some lands and creatures to add some of the cards you guys added along with some cards that cared about how many lands I have. I’m trying to have multiple lands enter per turn in my build
Copy Land is like one of the better cards in this deck. This is RAMP - and a lot of time SUPER ramp (for example You can copy any of the TRON lands, or Locus etc.).
I think party has to have four creatures and can't be met by just one with four types, it was one of the weaknesses holding party back when it came out. They may have changed it though sorry if I'm wrong.
I think you‘re right. „A player controls a full party if that player fills all "party roles" with four different creatures of the appropriate types.[4] Each creature in a player's party only fills one role, so, for example, a creature with Changeling will only count as one creature in the party, not four.“
One of the lands i've added is Swarmyard for a bit of extra protection on Omo. Also means if she gets destroyed she'll come back with another etb trigger and she can be used as a good blocker with swarmyard untapped. It'll put people off wanting to swing into you if you're just regenerating her for more triggers. I also added Saryth the vipers fang for added protection but also her ability to be able to untap a target land for late game so you can get double cloudposts etc which will be great for those X finshers.
swarmyard is a good add yeah! though i dont think you will get extra triggers when using it because regenerate means it doesn't leave the battlefield. Thinking of saryth for mine too
One card I've ordered that I think will be a good in this deck is alpha status - creature gets +2/+2 for each other creature in play that shares a creature type with it
@@v4speed I'm not sure how good that is, it depends if you're running a go-wide strategy or your opponents have lots of creatures. I'm still unsure of what to do with the deck really, I think it needs some more big X spells to round off the game. Finale of devastation is a pretty obvious one, searching for hydra broodmaster or avenger of zendikar to close out the game.
Great build but copy land is a must keep. I would leave chromatic lantern for a fail safe, because if Omo is out of commission, then the everything counters are dead.
I think a lot of the card choices for these precons were an homage to the era of magic they're meant to make you think of. Especially the Boomer Jund choices.
I feel like Case of the Locked Hothouse is better than Oracle of Mul Daya, since once its solved you can get lands, creatures and enchantments from the top of your deck
For a creature with an everything counter on it, can it be multiple different creature types all at once? For example, with your additional cards listed at the start. Can one creature with an everything token be considered a cat, a knight, and an illusion and benefit from all those cards in play or can it only be a cat or a knight or an illusion and only benefit from one card?
My problem with feline sovereign is your creatures will also be dogs. So you have protection from yourself. Kinda defeats the purpose of having it included.
@Crawel077 Yes, so when it resolves and enters the battlefield it is basically the same as playing the land itself. "Entering as" means it acts as if you played the card itself. If it entered then copied it would trigger Dark Depths.
Been a while since I've watched these, but I love the facecam being in this video. Looking forward to watching some of the past videos after seeing this one to catch up.
@@GuysThatMagic Yeah, this deck might be something I would totally go out of my way to buy, and funnily enough I have some of the cards in this upgrade like Spawning Kraken. But the main reason for me to actually grab this precon is the fact you can seriously do so much with it and take it into different directions, and that's just with the face commander alone. Tricky Terrain might be in the top 5 of best precon of 2024 and I can see why this deck is so good out of the box before upgrades. It can be a budget friendly build thanks to the everything counter mechanic or you can seriously go nuts and play busted cards, really makes me curious to see the $300 upgrade version for the reasons I've mentioned. And I don't usually watch those unless I'm actually interested to seeing how far you can go with the build. And to make a guess while I have this in mind, would the Ozolith be making an appearance in the $300 upgrade?
This is easily one of the best precons they have done in a long time, in my opinion. The design is just so different you can take it in any kind of direction you want to go. It's fun for sure. - David As far as the Ozolith, you'll have to wait and see!
Surprised you didn't include Collective Restraint as protection. 1 everything counter on a land means a player would have to pay 6 per creature they want to swing at you.

That’s correct! Miss speak there. We will definitely have a full party regardless because of the everything counters 😅
@@GuysThatMagic That's definitely true. I still think it's a great addition.

Under the rule for party each creature can only fulfill one of the roles@@saltyalters

Just got back into magic after 7+years and this is what I ended up going with played it once so far and I loved how the decks have changed
I turned this deck into a Tribal anthem crazy deck. I had quite a few of the same cards you guys put in. This deck is going to be pretty sick.
How has it been playing? I just got this deck today
@SwagMaster824 I unfortunately have not played it yet but I have goldfished it and its looking like it's going to run very well.
X spells with tron triggering and the locuses is nuts

It really doesn't make too much of an impact as you would think!
Would recommend leaving copy land for another way to get out that 20/20 lego creature without having to do the counters
It doesn't work with Dark Depths.

Everythign counters count as fate counters, Not sure why you got rid of oblivion stone thats a very good asymetrical board wipe
