I've ridden this trail on a 2 foot pow day. Everyone in the comments is right. The trail is not steep at all IMO. But it is FULL of natural features that can and will put a skier to the test. On a bad snow day, this trail is a nightmare. Downed logs, creeks, rock drops, bushes, weird fall lines. Definitely has the vibes of a gladed trail but without the trees in the middle of the run.

Its open today, looks like they are making snow and grooming the lower half

This has to be the most beautiful trail I've ever seen in a resort.

But it's a lot of work. Is deep powder your thing? You don't mind sticks poking out of the snow?

Can’t believe there getting rid of it

@@tenderpawsm473 Deep powder isn't necessarily my thing but I just like being able to jump off everything so deep powder in a way helps. I also don't mind sticks poking out. Just figured it comes with the territory. Always have money in the back for a new board lol.

Can you share more details? Is the resort giving up on this run?

Belleayre is a good mountain for the area with its gondola and inexpensive pricing compared to Hunter and Windham.
Bad on Bell though for labeling it Double Diamond as it will encourage inexperienced people to go down Winnisook or Onteora, Etc. I wonder if the moguls are the bumps of those who fell thinking they were that good.

tbf, the mountain is one of the easier ones.
And I say that as a person who just got into blues.

I would love to try this looks awesome but looks to be a sketchy blue what would you recommend okemo or killington?

    • @skiwithgenerationsnow
      @skiwithgenerationsnow  2 роки тому

Yeah more like an ungroomed blue. Okemo and Killington, both are good, Killington has more vertical but Okemo has some great trails too. Okemo is on Epic pass and Killington is on Ikon. I went for epic since they have a north east pass that is cheaper, so this year i will be at Okemo a lot since it is already paid for, maybe do one day at killington.

Its a great slope but I have no idea how it’s a double black. The single back glades run after it is way more difficult

for some reason when a trail is narrow they automatically put it a black in north america. The slope itself is a blue but the narrowness puts it between a blue and a black i guess.

What makes this a double black? Looks fun, but not terribly difficult.

It’s NY State skiing…there is only so much a “double black” can offer. Be glad it isn’t just an icy drop…

It's a family ski area, but still wants to claim the DD's, more for liability issues and relative to the other runs. I remember seeing in
Vermont maybe Stowe or Smuggler's Notch a triple diamond, that's a double diamond but the ski patrol hits you in the head with a shovel before the run.
Try Jay Peak, has some sick trails.. Green Beret, and a 30 person gondola.

the run looks fun but maybe just a sketchy blue tbh.
