There was 1 in Scotland for a few years about a decade ago but it shut down because I'm guessing people here didn't want to pay hipster level pricing. UK doesn't really need wholefoods their niche is already filled by many other competitors.

I don't generally do the hot bar cuz it is on the expensive side. Their pizza is absolutely top tier... YOU HAVE TO HEAT IT UP. Producer effed up there having them eat cold pizza. I won't deny a slight bit of bias as I live in Austin and Whole Foods is our baby.

9:15 those slices aren't exclusive to the UK. I've had the buffalo chicken and bbq chicken in the US, I'm pretty sure we have margherita here as well. I'm not sure about the last slice but I have seen those toppings on other slices before so I wouldn't be surprised if we had that too. They rotate out the special pizzas day to day so maybe that's where they got confused. The one's I've been to always serve pepperoni and cheese, then 2 special pies that are rotated day to day.

Whenever I see sausage-spinach macaroni and cheese I splurge-hope my regular updates their menu. Unfortunately the WF I go to in SF doesn't do breakfast. I tried it once or twice, yet crave for an opportunity to indulge in those dishes. My current alternative that has yet to increase their hot bar prices (as of July 2024) is a local chain called Gus's Community Market. Which does $10.99/lbs with a smaller and localized selection during a tight time window.

No, it does not. People somehow need to put cheese on everything these days. Have no idea why, because they do not use good quality cheese to add flavour but it only creates that horrible burnt crust or/and it makes strings. BTW, I love cheese as such.

I am sorry, but I have always considered organic foods to be kinda scammy. Trading a small chance that something is a little healthier for a huge price mark up. That, and organic crops are not as productive in general, so less food can be produced in a given area(in general, not always), which is a bad thing, starvation is still a problem in worldwide.
It wasn't the usual kind of potato salad you'd find in the UK though. I'd say the standard version would have mayo plus chives or spring onions/scallions.

I had channa masala. Which I happen to notice they just brought out a fresh full tray they must have still made it in house because when I ate that with rice and naan, I got food poisoning. I was tested and they found a parasite. I still go there for organic fruits and vegetables plus some vegan foods but there buffet bar is a huge HELL NO.

Potato salad was always found alongside the picky bits at kids parties and bbqs when I was growing up. Defo a staple, at least where I’m from!

Chicken Tikka Masala is usually a combination of tomato and cream. It is supposed to be that color. I was disappointed that you didn't try it.
The marinade they use for the tikka chicken usually is quite red and dyes the chicken which is why the chicken had that pink colour on the outside
