999 rocks. This album often sounds like a fantastic demo for a Stones album. A couple months in the studio with Jagger and this could be a classic. As is, a small classic on it’s own.

@@attentiondeficit9765I read it as: 'Mick could have supported the album beyond 999 and Wicked as it Seems.' The album has 2 great tunes and a bunch of filler. Compare it to Voodoo Lounge, it's not close.
Was incredibly fortunate to score 4 tix for the 2/13/93 show at the Orpheum in Boston. 26th row. The joint was jumpin'! (Charley D was MIA) but the Winos? Unrelenting! What a show!

You got to admit it, Keith is 'off the scale Cool'...
Raw and dirty. So different from most other rock songs, which are often so little dynamic but just on one volume level, without leaving any spaces. This way you can keep it simple to be effective, just like for instance the old blues masters did.

@@peterbellini6102 can't believe I seen this 'this' fast. The 2nd lp was just recently out. 93 show was on Valentines day or day before or after. Crazy every ticket I ever had was near back of theater, I couldn't believe it 5th row slightly left of center. I never catch opening band to miss road traffic from De to PA & it was a new band that got popular. Forget bands name ( after thinking edited comment) Blind Mellon Im almost positive caught last song.
