You truly are motivational. Thanks for reminding me to focus on my goals. Kids these days need to realise visionaries like you are what makes life awesome ✊
My very first impression upon seeing this was, "holy S^!& this dude is building his own 787B"! Can't wait to see the build progress and ultimately the finished product! Good luck as well.
I like Rob but he will never be focused enough to build a proper fully working car. A better race would be against Ryan Tuerck F1 Judd V10 powered Supra.
@@dwhxyz that’s one of problem when you have too many builds at a time when you’re doing much of the work if not all. While other “builders” pay multiple shops to build their cars…
Nice to see this Made in USA theme going on , with major components. It's also great for David and his family, that the dream can be finished off with the new David 🇨🇦
Dave, I'm in awe of what you're doing already! And as a musician and sound engineer, I especially commend you on your passion to make it sound as amazing as I know it will go. Can't wait to follow your journey on this one! :)

@@ilikegeese713 I guess we just need to shoot for the starts and build a 8 rotor. I think it's been done before, but I don't know of any clips that have good audio recordings lol
THANK YOU. I don't know why no one put together the idea of the 5 rotor: the sound of high revs, with the unique 1-2-4-5-3 firing order, as well as the power and torque that is possible.
as an aspiring mechanic this is just making me fall in love with rotary engines even more than I already have. I honestly think rotaries are my calling.
David, I appreciate your passion, integrity, ingenuity, and hard work. I followed you the first time and will follow and support you this time as well. I like the feeling you are creating!!! Look forward to you posting on UA-cam again. Thank you . Rob
Glad to have yet another crazy rotary build out there trying something new, these engines and their fans have had such a growing appreciation, its amazing to see how far its come . What started out as a small cult of people that liked a unique engine, hated by the majority, has grown tremendously in popularity over time, with more people understanding the inner workings of the engine. Its rather unique phenomenon something I feel, that could've only happened via osmosis here on UA-cam and the internet, the rotary community basically said "fine I'll do it myself" and that they did. They took what was a mostly an abandoned design by Automotive manufactures and basically started doing everything a manufacturer would, not as an individuals but as a community, sharing information, doing their own R&D via trial and error, right down to testing and making their own parts and even whole engines, its basically become an engine entirely supported and manufactured by 3rd parties and the aftermarket, something that you probably will never see for any other engine or engine type. Its absolutely astounding how much love and passion people have for these wacky little engines, that they would still put so much time and money into them, despite most people initially disliking, them all out of sheer love. The few people that really like these engines, really love them. It sounds kinda cheesy, but I'm so proud how far this community has come and it's still growing.
So excited to see what you guys do with this. You both made the most incredible previous projects and I always learn a ton from your videos. Good luck! Can't wait to see what Todd's got up his sleeve.
I really appreciate people like you .. giving all the info about your build which is amazing 👏 ..most of the builders never share their secrets..keep inspiring..
I love this. Years ago, when the SLC first came out, I thought it would be cool to do a big rotary build in one, but plain did not have the cash. Now, if I was doing it, I would be torn between a wild SLC build or the RCR Porsche 962 with a rotary.... since Mazda basically copied the 962 for their 787.
I'm a massive, massive fan of Superlite and Race Car Replicas, I just love the work that they do and the vehicles that they design and produce. The SLC is just a phenomenal platform. Amazing to see all the wild stuff that people are doing with them. This thing even on 1 bar of boost is going to be BONKERS. That turbo is MASSIVE! The power to weight ratio is going to undoubtedly be quite impressive. It'll be one HELL of a driving experience, that's for damn sure!
The SL-C is a DREAM project of mine! A 5 rotor is going to be nasty in this thing for sure and I can’t wait to hear what this thing sounds like! Definitely going to be one of a kind!
The man! I was just thinking about you a few days ago, was wondering when you pop back up. Really looking forward to following this build. Massive props and luck to you and the crew, I know you'll get it done and get it done right. Hell you built the best RX7 on the PLANET. Hands down!
I can't think of anyones project car i got more exited about. You guys are a real Inspiration to all the petrolheads on this planet. Keep on that great work.
It's very cool that you are able to honor the original owners dream by making this happen. This is a great project with a special story behind it. It's like it was just meant to be. Every project has a story and that is what is so great about sharing them on UA-cam. Looking forward to seeing it built.
I was wondering what happened to you Brother. I hope you can collaborate with Rob Dahm. He is making some serious advances in Rotary motors. After your last build I KNOW that This is gonna be AMAZINGLY EPIC! I plan to follow along with the entire build. Your attention to detail has already been proven and what a great tribute to to gentlemen that started this build! As Always, May God Bless you and yours!

Glad i stayed subscribed! I had some doubts on if you would be able to do something as cool to me as a 4 rotor rx7, but you did! I agree that the v10 is the best sounding and screamiest of the f1 engine types. I think your 5 rotor will probably sound even "better" than a screamy v10 like a LFA or Porsche gt. It will definitely have a unique note, very excited. Perfect first introduction video also. Got all the relevant info i wanted to hear. Great, inspirational project. About four years ago, I was going to order and build a Superlite. Several prior customers contacted me privately and had pretty negative input about the company and timeliness of parts delivery, etc. I figured there would always be unhappy people with every product, and was still determined to move forward.... Then I learned that if you are over about 5-11, you really aren't going to fit in the car, particularly with a helmet on. That's what killed it for me....as I am significantly taller. I was hugely disappointed but started a different project.
You built the gnarliest RX-7 on planet earth. I can’t wait to see what you and yours do with this.
