- The British National Hill Climb Championship 2022. Brirish Hill climbing is a weird niche pocket of cycling here in the UK with a lengthy history. Myself and Calvin ( @Enjoy-The-Ride) set out to take Wales by storm, one flapjack at a time. I hope this shows how good and crazy UK hill climbing is. Enjoy.

With that mount on the Go2 you can just use a rubber band to hold it in place then it's easy to take out and hold for non helmet cam views...

Did a crit once with numbers stuck on with sticky tape, they stuck out and I looked like a flying squirrel for half an hour until they decided to first class mail themselves into the bunch... Never again 😅

Noooo way too heavy for a hill climb, this was a hill climb specific bike, should have really done a bike check but too late now haha
@@harrymaccycling i see. on your ali bike though are you using the sensah components? if so how are they so far? coz im having tuning issue on m. it works perfectly well on a few days after a shop tune up but after awhile it skips gears again.

Great Video guys I’ll take a flap jack. I live in a hilly area in Australia Toowoomba 600m above sea level. Some great climbs up the mountain. Im addicted to single speed. I’d love to build a hill climb bike. What ratio would you guys recommend. 38-42 on the front and 11-30 on the back?

Oosh all depends on the gradient of the hill! The ONLY time I would go single speed/fixed for a hill climb is if there was a gradual gradient with no steep bits, good luck!
Way back in the day I had a brand new Italian racing bike (Guerciotti) and the lowest gear for climbing was a 42 23 and in the steepest part of the hill climb I had to stand up and zigzag up the hill..you did gr8 speeding up the hill btw 🚲👍🇨🇦
