Thank you Journey for starting this new year with Proverbs - One a Day. ‘For receiving instruction in prudent behavior, doing what is right and just and fair.’
"There is a prescription for stupid behavior. It's the book of Proverbs." 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Thank you for this series! It has already been a blessing. Looking forward to the next 30 days.
22 “How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? (Proverbs 1:22 NIV) My verse to meditate on today
Today I’m catching up with the three-step “assignment.” From Proverbs 1 I had already underlined separately verse 7 and then verses 8 and 9, advice that I’ve known and tried to live by all my life, though not always successfully. From today’s (January 1) study of Chapter 1, what stands out to me is the rest of the chapter and the stern warning from Wisdom. She calls to us always to reject the temptations around us, to be aware that now is the time for seeking Wisdom and honoring God. It’s the starting point, not the last resort.
What a great introduction to the Daily Wisdom series. Now I have to go back and reread Chapter 1 as I realize that I have already forgotten its message. Looking forward to the journey.
