I remember in 2004 when you came to KC with your children, one of them did the night watch. Your preaching was so intense...I remember the fire in the night interns came out wholly healed and aligned in their sexual identity after a full day of learning and being set free with you in a seminar. All to say, I honour you, Andy, and your family. I clearly remember your message, where you warned everyone to be careful of becoming a BRIDAL RAT !!! - meaning be careful of not living a double life, seemingly moral in the prayer room, but living in sexual perversion in secret. Thank you for standing very firmly against sexual immorality. Wow! I can't imagine Mike not responding to your messages ~ In hindsight, you were sent to help this young adult community not fall into complete deprivation and moral failure. This broke my heart, I knew Tammy and her family personally and lived with Mike Bickle and his family 78-81 when Tammy used to babysit. I am so mad because for the longest time I couldn't fully believe that Mike could do some of things he was being accused of, but after reading Tammy's account I am certain she is telling the truth and Mike deserves everything that is about to befall him. Mike's adulterous affairs from the very beginning of his marriage has completely disqualified him and everything thing that he has taught and done. He truly is a pathological Liar. This proves that he was a predator from the very beginning and therefore was disqualified from the things of God. 1Cor. 6:32 I pray that the justice of God will fall upon this man and cleanse this earth of his vile idolatry expressed through his teachings and now continued through IHOP. There are many good people IHOP and forerunner Church that have been duped by his lies and I hope that they will be set free by the revealing of this truth. I am particularly fascinated with the dynamics of religious movements that have developed in the last few centuries, and the personalities behind them. In studying the IHOPKC saga, I have found the statements of people involved in the 1970s and 1980s the most illuminating.
One such statement was written several years before this scandal erupted, by a person claiming to have been a caretaker of Pat Bickle, beginning in the late 1970s. Though many doubted the veracity of the statement, based on the fact that it was made anonymously, it had the ring of truth to me. I was particularly struck by his/her presentation of Mike Bickle as a person capable of great kindness and dedication, all while leaving a string of wounded people behind him - but that his greatest ambition was to be "great in the eyes of God", like a modern-day Moses.
I was wondering if you had read this statement, and if it fit with your experiences of that time period?

Very well explained. I am so sorry for these women who were children when someone molested and put the responsibility on them to keep silent so no one would see what he was doing. I pray for their healing and for compassion as people close to them can reach out and begin their healing process. They are innocent and wounded. My husband and I pastored for nearly 40 years before he passed away. Mike ministered once at our church and ate at our table. No, the crisis is not over as one of the leaders stated….and please don’t ask the congregation to repent as though they were guilty. I so appreciate your words and your heart. I didn't know you moved to KC, but remember you from my 90's Vineyard days and always trusted your ministry. I was in Vancouver and needed sanity to help my gay friends get free. So I was not really surprised your voice has brought me comfort. Bless you - I'm sure KC needs you and yours in this hour. In the decades since the 90's, I have been a part of many denominations, helping build community and empower the body. The resistance I have routinely encountered from head pastors who want to hold onto power and control has sickened me. If you go and listen to Ernie Gruens 1990 message and he details his Matt 18 meeting with Mike Bickle and he says how mike "prophetically" threatened him with death and then he casually walked out of the room and greeted Ernie's wife smiling and complimenting Ernie. Mike is delusional. His "visions" and "trips to heaven" are power plays to maintain his special place at the top. When he was confronted by Jane Does husband mike went on the same power and control/ manipulation tactics. The whole of IHOP is built on shifting sand , visions and traditions of man. I pray that IHOPKC will not die...but that somehow it will be cleansed by the Lord God. Mike Bickle must be set way aside. But it is so important that we do not hate him. Apostle John tells us in 1st John 3:15 that if we hate another human being it goes down in our record that we are a murderer!! We cannot cease to love gross sinners and all people. God still loves Bickle, but HE hates what Bickle has done. IHOPKC must now do ONLY what the Holy Spirit leads them to do. Only the Holy Spirit can lead IHOPKC out of this swamp. Only the Lord God can save IHOPKC. There may be some wicked demons lurking about. Prayer and listening to the direction of the Spirit of God is the only answer! IHOPKC for far too long has become an idol and the leader Mike Bickle “idolized” by many. I have seen it in their posts. Sexual sin was always a point of contention for God in the Old Testament; and sexual sin was always tied to idolatry- Jezebel as well as others. We all need healing in our souls, repentance for idolizing members of the clergy and a clarion call back to holiness-myself included! I pray for the healing of peoples souls, and that this is a wake up call to all of us. Holiness, repentance and healing through the dunamis power of our precious Lord Yeshua.

I was in the NAR. It's set up that way. Everyone is taught that it is dishonoring to question those in authority and to question or point out something wrong is "judging". The gift of discernment is not allowed and even the gift of prophecy is twisted and only allowed if it's a positive word. Clearly there are many good and God fearing people in this but they are being manipulated by others they trust and when you're being manipulated you aren't aware of it at the time.

"You will know them by their fruit..." One clear "yellow flag" of a possible deeply stained speaker is their fire-brand preaching, in many cases such a person is speaking mostly to themselves...i.e. Jimmy Swaggart. Powerful speaking isn't in itself wrong but the cross of Christ has been repeatedly tarnished by the ones trying to deflect their sin by loud preaching.
Bickle, like many IOPH leaders, produce flesh-driven "prophecies" and continually make unreasonable demands as a cover for themselves. And, rarely do such "prophecies" come remotely true, most of such never come true. Yet, the gullible stay rather than know the "prophets" are false in their presentations.
As a spirit-filled Charismatic pastor, I had to repeatedly warn the weak-in-Christ to not give up everything to follow a movement that was littered with "yellow or red flags". The ones that returned were so spiritually torn up that it took great prayerful counselling to bring healing to them.

Yes, Part of healing, is to talk about it, and it is time that we talk about it, it will take a lot of processing, feeling, letting go and forgiving….for the victims and the ones affected and it’s ok. Many people’s reality got turned upside down. It takes time. Cynthia, part of godliness is openly dealing with sin, and Bickle has had it from the get-go. IHOP has been tarnished from almost the beginning - kept at arm's length by un-numbered thousands of born again, spirit-filled, evangelical churches and educated ministers.
But, the IHOP-ites remained loyal, refusing to see the twisting of scripture and the numerous unfulfilled "prophecies". Maybe now they will divorce themselves from this movement that has ruined so many lives. Bickle must be marked, fully exposed as a fraud, sexual predator, and wolf in sheep's clothing. Unity and healing comes with discipline thru love...even prison if warranted.

I read it, too. I have no dog in this fight other than Jesus. As an outsider, hearing words used like “predator” feel worldly. I don’t think it’s accurate and it classifies sin as something almost nonhuman. It’s also not accurate to say he had actual sex with anyone. Not to take away from Mike’s sin, but being dramatic is not edifying or mature, if you’re considering yourself a minister. I get emotional reactions to the actions of leaders but maybe process off the internet.

Paul in the Epistles warned that grievous wolves had entered in amongst the flock. What is a wolf if not a predator? And no they aren’t human. This is in my opinion the duty of a watchman. Ie to warn! To sound an alarm.

@@darbydickey The statement in the video was using "predator" in the sense that the world does, meaning, "sexual predator."
Also, there is a world of difference between someone who sinned while they were leading, and someone who was intentionally trying to lead astray the Body of Christ, doctrinally. The latter sense is the one found in the verse you are referring to (it's Acts 20:29), where Paul is speaking to the Ephesian elders:
"I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to admonish every one with tears."
Again, not taking away from Mike's sin, though. I hope he did repent at some point, as it seems he did. May it be a warning to us all to take heed lest we fall and hurt people in the process.

Amen, I would have walked away from the Church and God if not for the Prayer Room and teachings from many different people at ihopkc, kept me in God's word and seeking and searching for more.
There is much hurt and forgiveness needed from the victims to start a life long road through recovery.
I pray for every person involved and ask for forgiveness to rejoice in there hearts and the LOVE of JESUS to heal.
As for Mike i hope he see his sins and repents for them so he can see evil was working in him as a victim of evil that Jesus would heal him as he did with Peter.
