Looking forward to this as well, I am very sad I live in the east coast, but I love catching up on youtube when I have to sleep early. Thanks for cross posting, allows some comments too!
and we appreciate you checking out the streams when you can! VODs will always be here and cut down w/chapters to make it easier to scrub through. Looking forward the the conversations we'll have here too
I am going to start a death in space campaign with friends this summer and I am excited to watch your campaign to see how it functions and get better at it! I was wondering, where did you get the character sheets and all that? they seem so well done!
Thanks, Sean! I (Jason) also watch a lot of actual plays to get a sense for a game, so happy to hear we're providing that for others. We're running the Foundry VTT and the character sheets are part of that. McGlintlock is the developer who created the Foundry system for Death In Space. He's also created one for Mork Borg and Vast Grimm. It definitely helps keep things simple for the players and GM.
I'd vote for this all the way, personally. BUT, this has more of a gritty old sci-fi feel with killer graphic design and rules. Vast Grimm is pretty much Mork Borg in space, so it'll fit that tone.
Since it's a rule-light game, it's definitely up to debate if you need mechanics around it. I'm approaching it from a more narrative standpoint. The crew botches/solves something and gets a reputation for that. The starting adventure has plenty of opportunities to make allies and enemies.

Playing on Monday. Thanks for the sample zero session!
Looking forward to this, loved the MB ones!
So excited for this!
This setting is really interesting to me!! :)
Yeah, it's great. Very different from most sci-fi rpgs out there. Reminiscent of films from the 80's.
This looks awesome!
We're loving it so far. The first sci-fi game we've run on the channel.

Having trouble deciding between this or Vast Grimm

The game states 'reputation is everything' but there are no game mechanics to handle this. Any ideas?
