Last test Worcester he starts at 6:09 and ends at 5:13 and the ap starts at 6:06 and ends again at 5:13. I personally don’t have a set kilometer mark I switch at because some guns are better then others but I most definitely switch to ap soon as I feel comfortable I can hit exactly where I want to hit. I definitely believe ap is the better ammo but on some ships the difference isn’t that great and the fire chance is better. There’s some ships where the he is like 330 and the ap is like 350 so I rather use the he like then Pan Asian and EU dd line. Also ships with a really crazy fire chance that set triple fires fairly easily I normally don’t switch until I have them on triple fire. With that being said I think your general idea is spot on and I think the range is correct also. That 7-8 kilometer range should be good for most players, if not maybe they should be okay solitaire 😂
It's just a general rule. The whole idea is so people can take this if they don't know when to switch and grow from here. There are only a few ships that shoot HE at close range.
This doesn’t so much have to do with different shell types but when you are a bb, always try to hit gun turrets unless you are brawling a CL. This will allow you to both knock out main guns and get lots of full pens and citadels
I want to have a guide on how to knock out modules and other specific things. I've been working on my accuracy and noticed I've been stripping main guns more and more
Knowing when to use ap and he is important and knowing where to shoot to. But you mostly covered cruisers. With bbs there are also some important Things. For example shooting at turrets in a brawl.
So I'm brand new to WoW Started a week ago or so. Just to be clear. Anything within 7km should be shot with AP because of the damage other than DD's because of how little armor they have.
Really nice video idea, please keep making them. I feel like the level of gameplay on the EU server is deteriorating for years now. One thing I have noticed about myself is that I really like ships where one shell type is clearly dominant. I really enjoyed Conqueror, Minotaur and of course the Z52. This is also the reason I'm really looking forward to the Elbing line, which is also a pure AP shooter. I also played the Grozovoi a fair bit and I didn't particularly like it, and part of it may be that I was constantly wondering whether or not the other shell type would be better right now, since they are both pretty balanced. I am also the guy who randomly starts worrying about locking the door or turning off the stove when I'm not at home. Overthinking at its finest 👌
Thank you. More are coming. Got another already recorded and another one planned out. When a ship has balanced shells it's all about what to use and when. Groz needs AP used at close range and HE at long. Similar to Udaloi.
@@Slai47 😂😂😂 yeah, overthinking is such a pain. I love playing DDs and think a lot about positioning when playing, so I really don't want to ponder about shell types as well.
Thank you for the informative & useful information 👍
Glad it helped

Nice guide, thank you
Yes to all!🥳
And if you're new, the cap is a happy safe place, Go there often!🤗
I've been a tad too aggressive on cap recently and need to know when it's lost more. But 💯% yes. Hey in cap people
@@Slai47 Yes, I'm BB prime so sometimes I have to pick a hill to die on and just figure if I hold this everyone else will hear my cries for backup😏
On heavy cruisers with 203s I find that between 6 and 8 km ist really good to shoot AP at DDS, you can do mostly full pens
Depends on the ship. Also if you use IFHE or APCS can affect damage rates
This looks like an awesome new series Slai. Thanks for taking the time to make it.
Can't wait for everyone to see the next ones coming. Glad you liked it!
Has he done something like this for torps?

That's for another video. Cruisers are my thing but I did try to cover them a bit
Don’t forget the HenriVI cruiser AP ON Everything HE on DDs. Got to play it like a battle ship
See I like HE at max range with that ship but AP 11km and in except on DDs. It's got a decent fire chance
The slide says HE at > than 10km I think that should be flopped. Use AP with 203s on DDs at range. When they start closing in you swap to HE.
For heavy cruisers, HE at range but I had a ~ there but maybe it should have been a * since it's only for two super cruisers
So I'm brand new to WoW

Yes unless you have small caliber guns where the AP will do more damage
For German cruisers, should I really use HE at greater than 10km? Vs BBs or other cruisers? And use HE on DDs if they're less than 8km?
AP pretty much all the time and aim for the superstructures.
are you playing on a computer or pad?

Dude I overthink all the time.
Source, I had a list of 10 more ship vs ship types for the ending testing I wanted to do

Lol first replay is a guy in my fleet, how nice 😅
It's all about learning. We are here to grow, not bash anyone.
@@Slai47 absolutely! I'm proud of him for adjusting and learning on the fly
Yeah but it takes 20 fucking seconds to load from one amo to the other so switching is not necessarily possible
If you can preload it for a situation or switch it out during the engagement, it can help.
They don't wont my skills to get better I already stomp them
I'll keep it gentle. It don't matter the size of the gun . I beat the puses with the little ship. No torpedo
You should tell that to red team stop cheating me
Anyone watching this video you’ll learn through experience when and when not to use HE AP so just play more!
Yup. Hoping to give a general rule so through experience they can get better from there.
