I love this song and I´ve said it 100000 times it whould have been on the charts and number 1 in 1981, when this kind of music was IN...Good job from Mike Leander who composed this song. Brian´s voice was excellent, awesome!

I saw the sweet in 1990 after about 5 numbers i walked out brian connolly could still sing but was damaged by alchol this was before hes reunion.with.fellow members i didnt know yhat night was the last time i would see him.live so yes i.regretted leaving rip.amen

This song and its music is bridging the period between 'Little Willy' and his post-Sweet years. I watched him (and the rest of the band) being interviewed on and during their heydays (1972-1974), how the tour schemes exhausted him ("well, that's life"). He had no private life at all in those days! Alcoholism was his way to cope with loneliness. Poor Brian, he deserved a better life than that.
He alway was married.

Ive always been a fan of The Sweet with Brian up front, but I never heard this before. Love it! Brian Connolly, one of a kind, started life as an abandoned baby in a rough part of Glasgow and made it to the top, what a voice, what a stage presence. Another one gone too soon.

Wohl auch weil die Fans es sehr spät erfahren haben dass neue Songs raus gekommen sind und die Singles echt suchen musste. Promotion sozusagen ziemlich beschissen, sorry. Lag also keineswegs an Brian's Stimme. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war sie noch richtig genial. Schade, hätte Brian soviel mehr Glück mit seiner Solokariere gewünscht und gegönnt 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Ja, so ist es wohl gewesen, dass er mit der Solokarriere wenig Erfolg hatte, hat auch seinen Alkoholkonsum erhöht und so kam eins zum anderen. Er war wohl ein sehr sensibeler Mensch. Zum Glück können wir uns weiter an seiner Musik erfreuen.
