- Опубліковано 28 тра 2024
- During the 1980s, GE partnered with the US Department of Transportation to make a locomotive powered with coal, for some reason. However, there is a bit more to this locomotive than just being converted to run on coal.
Music used:
猫 シ Corp - Online Office V4.20
Trammell Starks - Good Ole' Days
Kenny G - Sade
ALL PHOTOS USED DO NOT BELONG TO ME, THEY BELONG TO THERE RESPECTIVE OWNERS

I thought this was GECX 809 for a moment, either way this is awesome
Also 0:48 MISSOURI PACIFIC MENTIONED
Would be cool to see it donated to the lake shore railway museum in North East PA a couple years ago GE donated a demo AC6000 there
Would be nice if GE/Wabtec donates it to a museum.
Great Documentary with the VHS effect!
a video on GECX 809 would be cool
Love this unit, I hope GE Returns it to service on the test track, would love to see it burn Natural gas or perserved on another railroad
Yes! More bite sized oddities! I love this series, keep up the great work!
I love these videos!
Coal fueled GECX
“GE, why?”
This locomotive never caught a break.
Yay! New video!
Is there any way you could make this same video again, but without the horrendous filter?
have you ever considered doing a video on the Jettrain
Here we go, the fuckshit is here
Pretty good! Maybe a little less static next time?
Nice Video, I would love to know how this "coal slurry" was supposed to work?
It burns like any other fuel.
1:50 is this just me but GE locomotive with CF code always end up being CompleteFailure
AC44C6CF and now C39-8CF
What if you made a video or two talking about GECX 809 or GECX 5000?
Halton, could you upload a bite sized oddities on HMCR 8923?
editing on this video is on point!
This video marks the last video I will ever watch in my childhood years
"GE, Why????"
Do one on NS 3958
Yay😅
Ok
What goober thought this was okay
1980
GE, y...
the goofy ahh
GECX #609? Coal slurry fuel as locomotive power source. Thats interesting but not successful like the UP coal turbine. GECX #899 aka #609 aka #607 should be preserved due to its unique testbed journey.
GE WHY!?
I like the vhs effect!
