Video Edited by me April Wine - Just Between You and Me Lyrics to the song "Just Between You and Me", written by Myles Goodwin, as performed by April Wine.
Heard the news today…really sucks…I’ve been on an April Wine bender the last few months cranking their tunes…Criminally underrated band for sure…Rest Easy Myles.
Was thinking the same thing and here we are October 2021 Nice video was cooking and this song popped in my head also. Was just at my neighbors families house nice place. I was probably 15 when I saw them everyone jammed to harder faster . Im glad I was a teenager back in those days to, would have loved to been young in 69 to but music was still at its best in our days.
This is the best fucking band that ever came out of Canada. These guys have an enormous catalogue of great tunes. I encourage any of you who are not that familiar with April Wine to have a listen. So many fabulous memories of my life growing up with this band.
RIP, to the very best of Canadian greatest golden age of Rock music. I am very sadened but yet honoured and humbled to have lived with such great music.
You can count on Canada for delivering the goods with April Wine. This album was the best. The single, played a major role in shaping the hearts & minds, in North America. April Wine, is a treasure, and this song was a masterpiece..
I have a theory that artists like Celine Dion and Justin Bieber are Canada's way of apologizing to the US for bands like April Wine, Rush, Frank Marino, The Guess Who (and BTO), and Triumph making our bands look bad. :-)
This came out in 1981, I think. This album went Platinum here in the U. S., at a time when KISS did the album "Music From The Elder", which sold less than 100,000 copies, at least initially. For Bands Worldwide, it was either feast or famine, depending on how good the material was on any respective album that was put out. April Wine had much better material on this album, than KISS had on theirs. Besides, look at the almost total junk that KISS did on their two previous albums. Dynasty and Unmasked were basically just Power-Pop, and Music From The Elder, while it had some songs that were much better than Dynasty or Unmasked, took a GIANT step in the wrong direction with Music From The Elder being KISS'S attempt at a concept album. April Wine, on the other hand, knew how to connect with their audience. That's why April Wine did so well, in a period of time that lasted from 1979-1982.
@@ronaldshank7589 April Wine had better songs, and the band was more layered. KISS found themselves in a difficult position with Music from Elder, it wasn't there niche. After KISS ALIVE TWO, KISS had changed their sound dramatically. It you look at Dynasty, Unmasked, and then Music From the Elder, the material got worse. April Wine had more depth in their song writing, and the performances were amazing. It took KISS with with Creatures of Night to get back to their sound. April Wine is a talented band.
@@adamlasko315 Brother, I'm in full agreement with you on every point in your text! I will say, though, that when KISS FINALLY got back on track, with the Album "Creatures Of The Night" in 1982, ironically, it was the newcomer, Vinnie Vincent, that saved the band from total annihilation! He played an integral part in the songwriting and guitar work that he did on that album. Without Vinnie Vincent coming into KISS in 1982, KISS would've gone under, and Gene and Paul might be out washing cars or windows somewhere! Creatures Of The Night is definitely the heaviest album KISS has ever put out, at least in my opinion. I personally put it up in the top three albums that KISS has ever done, the other two being Revenge (From 1992), and Destroyer (From 1976). Interesting note:Destroyer had stalled at Gold, until the most unlikely song, Beth, was released. That song, a Ballad, pushed Destroyer over the 1,000,000 mark, in terms of record sales, and earned Destroyer the distinction of being KISS'S first ever studio album to reach Platinum status.
@@ronaldshank7589 Vinnie Vincent was an eccentric artists, who helped put KISS back on the map. He wrote Lick it up, I love it loud, and of course material for Revenge. As much as KISS puts Vinnie down, they had no problem capitalizing on his writing skills. When KISS produced--Asylum, Crazy Nights, & Hot in the shade, the band was stable with their lineup. I love Crazy Nights for it was the best produced KISS album in the 80's. Producer Ron Nevison gave KISS a more depth by adding keyboards and synths, especially with the song, "Reason to Live." The tour was super tight, and the set list was fantastic. Hot in the shade, was another great KISS album. The song, "Forever" got some big time radio play on FM, plus the song was high on the charts in (1989-90).

I love the use of the French words 'seulement entre toi et moi' for 'just between you and me' It takes talent to write a masterpiece like this using two languages, notwithstanding the fact that they may already speak a different language.
@@TheRadioAteMyTVyes I was already well aware of that. Here's a new language for you: Cantores Canadi francesa cantare solent sed obstante hoc saepe Anglice loquuntur valde melius.
