- This video shows how to remove door panels from 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 Ford F-150 truck and 2017, 2018, 2019 F250, F350, F450 Super Duty and Raptor trucks. Also shows how to install Jimmi Jammer in-door lock protection plates to prevent truck burglary and theft.
Got to give credit where credit is due. After 30 minutes of searching, your demo for removing the handle was perfect!!!! Thanks, you probably saved me from replacing the whole mechanism. I was close to rage yanking it.
THNX FOR VIDEO,,,ONLY YOU ACTUALLY SHOW HOW TO REMOVE THE WHOLE PANEL,,OTHER VIDEOS DONT SHOW HOW TO REMOVE THE LATCH CABLE,,,THNX AGAIN,,,
Thanks for posting. Just had my 2017 F250 broken into, and have to replace the door handle. They used a flat head to get in behind the door handle and pop the lock, now it won't lock. Probably better than a broken window, but still a hassle figuring out what needs to be done to replace it. Your video is very helpful in figuring out what the next step is!
HI VAF84, i had the same issue, what did you do to get this fixed?
@@ricardogonzalez9001 ya what did you guys do, mine just got broken into🤬
Your attention to detail is absolutely amazing.
Thank you! 👍🏽🇺🇸
Thank you very much for this video.. It was very helpful to me to remove door handles from raptor without breaking anything
Thanks for the video, great job ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
thank you!! wasnt confident to do this but after watching you, i think ill give it a try! thanks
Did this in my 2017 F250 three years ago with no regrets ... until now. I need to reinstall the lock cylinder & op-rod for trade-in towards a 2022 model. Parts went back in easy-peasey, but key would not reach the "full unlock position," and if using the fob, the latch would lock immediately after unlocking. This is without the Jimmi-Jammer plate in position. There's a small plastic pawl that is compressed against the cylinder by the bolt at the door's rear edge (bolt at 4:41 in video), and I cannot get that pawl to engage a slot in the cylinder with the door handle assembly removed from the door. Is there a trick to making it engage after everything has been reassembled inside the door? If no, then I may not bother ordering another set for my new truck.
I think I had a similar problem once and found that the direction the lock rod faces, at the top end on the lock pawl made a difference. I think when I turned the lock rod around so that the open end faced the outer door skin it solved the problem. Not sure of the direction, but my notes show the rod orientation was important. You will most likely need to do this with the handle in the door all assembled.
@@trucksecurityvideo Thank you for that! I installed the op-rod in the same orientation shown at the 7:47 mark in your video above. I'll pull the handle assembly again and try installing the cylinder and op-rod as you suggest. I'll report back here when I'm done.
As a reference, the 2:40 mark in the following video shows the op-rod with the open end facing outboard when the door handle is initially being removed while it's still connected to lock cylinder arm ...

@@trucksecurityvideo Sure enough! Turning it around made everything function normal again. THANKS!
EDIT TO ADD: BTW, I'll be ordering front & rear kits after my 2022 arrives. Thanks again!
Very helpful! Thanks!
Great Job !!!!!!!!
👍💯
$75 for a Jimmi Jammer on Amazon. $45 for a passenger side door handle that you can simply turn 180 degrees and install it on the driver's side, and no plate to mess with.
Don’t forget many truck have painted handles and ford does not sell them painted. So add that cost in.
Also don't forget you have another lock rod inside the door that has to remain in place. Thieves know how to pry in around the handle to get at that rod as well. The plate blocks access.
And also will need to call a locksmith when your battery dies, guess it’s better then to have been broken Into.
WHY did you do all the work BEFORE you made the video ? People tune in to see the actual work ! If I SAW you pry the panels off it would make more sense. If I SAW you unplug those cables, it would be clearer.
