Randy Poffo Randall Mario Poffo was a center fielder and catcher who played in Minor League Baseball from 1971-1974. He was a two-time All-State catcher at Downers Grove North High School near Chicago, IL. He suffered a severe muscle tear and ligament separation in his throwing arm and was released by the Cardinals. After his baseball career ended, he joined the WWF as Randy 'Macho Man' Savage
@@DaytimeNightmare Ainge was actually a better NBA player than a couple of guys on this list, but he didn't make the cut because he actually played in the majors, so he was disqualified.
Here's a trivia question for you...Dave Winfield, back in '78, I believe, was the only athlete drafted by 4 pro organizations in the same year. The NFL, MLB, NBA, and the ABA.
Even though this isn't the same thing as this video, I always wonder what would have happened if Tom Glavine had stuck with hockey after being drafted by the Los Angeles Kings, instead choosing baseball with the Atlanta Braves.
That wasn't a list, I was saying this vid isn't about MLB/NFL players. Of course I remembered Brian Jordan and if I do a video about best players who made it to MLB and NFL he would definitely be on it.
Golden Tate won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks in 2013 season, he wasn’t part of that Eagles team that won it all for the 2017 season. He was traded from the Lions to the Eagles in the middle of the 2018 season.
Thing like this probably won’t happen again especially with how expensive youth sports got in the 2000s-2010s kids don’t really have the facilities to focus on multiple sports like this again
Some people will probably be mad he was so high. As a punter, he has a very low AV (44) compared to other Hall of Famers, and is not even listed on any of the Top 500 or Top 1,000 NFL Players lists I could find. That's not his fault; that's just the position.. so, I ranked him higher than lots of big names, higher than Archie Manning and Kerry Collins. But, how high was I supposed to put him?? Above Joe Theismann? Above Ken Stabler?? So, I tried to use my best judgement and rank him high but not ridiculously high, as he was a punter and didn't have as big of an impact on the game as quarterbacks and wide receivers.
Pat Mahomes makes perfect sense his dad Patrick Mahomes played in mlb in the 90s and early 2000s so same time as guys like Dante Bichette Craig Biggio Vlad Guerrero Sr. Bobby Wiit Sr. and Roger Clemens all guys who have sons in MLB today
5:58 little correction: Tate was on the 2018 Eagles but not the 2017 SB champion team. He did win a Super Bowl for the Seahawks in 2013 though
Randy Poffo

He actually learned how to throw with his left hand in hopes of continuing to play but they released him any way.
Danny Ainge was who I thought of first. Played a bit for Toronto in MLB, went on to star for Boston in the NBA
Good pick..... But Danny was a AvG NBA player.... Good career .... But Avg ..... Made more of an impact in the front office
Ainge was a catcher...I had a few of his baseball cards, before I sold my collection.

@big8dog887 no he wasnt.... He just played for Cs...
@@DaytimeNightmare I'm not comparing Ainge to Michael Jordan, I'm comparing him to the likes of Dell Curry and Charlie Ward. I stand by my comment.

Sorry...1973
He is 1 of 3 ...it's on his Wikipedia.
Nice video! Keep up the good work, Eric! I have already known about Tom Brady getting drafted by the Expos!
I hope macho man randy savage is on this list
Wasnt drafted

How can you leave Brian Jordan off of the Bo and Deion list? Loved the nod the Charlie Ward as he was incredible.

A Top “1 Year Deals” in MLB history countdown would be nice!
Thanks, I need some ideas!!! Coming up!
Excellent video! Thanks 🙏
Excellent video yet again!
Great video!

I was going to make the case for Randy Poffo, but it turns out that he wasn't drafted, so you're off the hook.
Oohhhhhh yyyeeeaaaahhh!
Snap into a Humm Baby Comment Section!
Woah Cassell had a great career ..lol..i guess the fact he hung around 14 years as a backup says something
Macho Man, I know he wasn't drafted but he is the Macho Man
Eric Strickland played minor league baseball, NBA basketball and offered football scholarships by all the top teams
John Lynch and John Elway blew my mind.
Can you imagine Bo Jackson, John Elway and Dan Marino all playing for the Royals at the same time?
Thing like this probably won’t happen again especially with how expensive youth sports got in the 2000s-2010s kids don’t really have the facilities to focus on multiple sports like this again
Also, with kids getting NIL money in college, they'll stuck with their "best" sport
Matt Cassel in Lions jersey is cursed.
Getting drafted in the first round of two different sports is crazy. Makes you one of the best athletes in the world by default
Some reason you mention best of best when you got to number four? Why was Ray Guy so low? He is a Hall of Famer also.

Finally you make this video. I think I recommend this idea to you.
Well played. No prayer to the baseball gods?
Damn, baseball will just draft anybody.
True idiots and morons
Vic Janowicz was a good one. Went from winming the heisman to MLB.

Joe Namath I believe was drafted
I think that was before the draft was created.. If he was drafted I really messed up.
My bad it was before the draft but he received several offers
Golden Taint
