All of TOX lifting in that last game was ballsy as hell. I was rooting for Rec, but I would've loved to see them win that game just because of that play. What a great event, definitely one of the best HCS events so far.

Its really a bummer that H3 never got around to the multimillion dollar competitive scene. Guys like SnipeDown, Neighbor, Roy, Lunchbox are just legends playing for fun now. They deserve more.
I played Halo 2 and 3 like 5-6 hours a day every day. Those days were soooo much fun. Wish they could have had continued success after Halo 3! RIP MLG!

I can't wait to see what pros on PC will be able to do.
If Snipedown is any indication, pros are better with controllers than most PC players are with a mouse, so I expect they'll use controllers as that's what they're used to, but I still expect a new contingent of PC mouse using pros will arise, mostly new names to Halo as current PC pros in other games make the switch over to competing.

@@nobanmepls3291 I've seen multiple players in Halo Online on PC better than these guys. They're just pug stars rn, but if they put any time in at all they would stomp these guys who use controllers.

As much as I enjoy the new, extremely fast paced games, especially since the BR wave as come full force now, Halo truly is the perfect balance between pace and strategy. Halo 2 was the best competitive console game ever, and Halo 3 right behind it. That’s why anyone who has thousands of hours in Halo is good at every single game that comes out. You can always learn how to shoot especially in games that favor low sensitivities or have helpful auto aim but you can’t just learn strategy overnight. Halo is the reason I’ve been good at every single shooter I’ve ever played. If you weren’t around to witness it you’ll never understand the level of competition. Even placing Top 32 was a pretty nice accomplishment, whereas nowadays it’s the same 4 teams in every game, competing under the same orgs and the same group of 32 pros remain pro based on their names not their current skill level. Look at APG; completely disinterested throughout the entirety of Halo 5, constantly under performing yet always on a Top 8 team. Why? His name. This is in my opinion what has contributed to the death of Halo, alongside sprint and ADS sens being native to every new game and lacking in Halo titles.

The snipers in this game sound so satisfiying dude. I can't wait to finally play halo on pc. I never was able to play it before because i never had an xbox.
Remember how Neighbor was the star of H3 until Snipedown came up.
eddie acevedo lol snipedown was never a “star” in Halo 3. He was only average as far as main-stage players go. He got clout from that one “heat check” game with the sniper on Pit and had an amazing series, but other than that he was never a star.
Pistola, Hysteria, Roy, T2, and Neighbor were always the stars of Halo 3. The players who were always “just there” were the likeness of Snipedown, ElamiteWarrior, Heinz, Lunchbox, and Legit. Even Orge 2 and Walshy, who were huge stars in Halo 2, never were real stars for Halo 3.
Th3 Freek you’re kidding right? Snipedown in H3 was the equivalent of Naded and Legit in H2, they were insane slayers. Towards the end of H3 of course the dominant figures were evident but Snipedown could hang with anyone
@@Th3Freek Heinz got voted best overall player in 2009. Snip3down was a bonafide star, his numbers speak for themselves. He dominated Columbus 09 and even in 2010 when his team wasn't a contender go watch who has the best looking shot on that west team in the allstar game. He was solid all 3 years of h3. Neighbor was lackluster in 2009 against top teams although he did come right in 2010.

THE REAL ZENFORCE well I mean that’s why the term Online Warrior was coined. Just because you do well online (in most cases that person has host) it doesn’t always translate to LAN. K/D is an indication of skill but anyone who is good at halo can seriously just play BTB or Regular slayer with a team and slay out for stats. So K/D in my opinion doesn’t mean much. What impresses me is placement in Tournaments and also Gamebattles records.
Remember, switching to your secondary is faster than reloading

While I thought it wasn't as clip-heavy as the UGC Halo 3 Classic, I thought this one shined in intensity. So many close games the REC vs Tox Pit slayer def is a standout for me. Really well run event though! The Snipedown vs Lethul rivalry matches & BTB games were super fun to watch too, some of those moments were honestly my favorite

Luukebaas hopefully there is no pc comp scene. It won’t be as impressive to see these plays knowing they can just snap to people’s heads with a mouse. Part of the charm of halo is the controller. Keeps everything standardized and on one platform. Plus watching these plays knowing it’s being done on a controller makes it crazy.

@@DeviousGruntAlliance I mean back on 360 LAN was just perfect. After I watched a MLG event I would go to the VODs and just watch every POV from the top 8 teams. I could play Halo 3 on 360 from morning to night. This Halo 3 on MCC doesn't interest me at all to be honest. My 40,000 hours of experience tells me that this isn't my Halo 3 and it never will be. I enjoyed the whole video though. Thank you
