Wouldn't be suprised if the better 1% lows on intel are because of the foggy weather in the footage removing most long distance shadow calculations that would otherwise be there if it was sunny instead.

thank you so much. In actual practice, they both felt as smooth as any config I've ever used for Rust. I think Rust inherently will always have little frametime spikes depending on map population and proximity to bases/players/assests. When you get near a clump of assets, it tends to dip temporarily. This happens on the best Intel and best AMD setups.
In terms of overall game smoothness on the 7800X3D, it's butter to me, so smooth

Hey man, I just upgraded to a 7800x3d. I also got a 6700 XT. 32 gb ddr5 5600mhz gskill ram. 650w psu. In Rust, I still have like micro-stuttering. Which baffles me, and disappoints me a shit ton, because I bought these new comps (cpu, mobo, case, aio, ram) specially so I can play without a care. Do you have any idea what might be the problem? There are micro-stutters here and there, but I don't feel comfortable playing like that, knowing that other people/streamers who have a pretty much identical setup run the game without a care in the world.
Also, must mention, the 6700xt is SH so I don't know if it plays the role of stuttering here. Cause I didn't really have problems with it, ran rdr 2 max settings perfectly before, as an example. I'm just at a loss of words and don't know where to look for help anymore.

I'm still trying to find the reason for the low rare frames, I changed the video card from 6800xt to 7900xtx, it didn't work. I installed an additional 32GB of RAM - no result. I downloaded the DIMMDRIVE program, but could not use it, I had difficulty setting it up for rust. I want to try to create a RAMDISC and place all the temporary game and Windows files there. The surest way to see friezes is to sit on the roof of the train, accelerate to maximum speed and look 90 degrees from the direction of movement, my 99 percentile drops from 120 to 60-80 fps. Thats subjective. FPS doesn't tell the entire story. Micro-stutters aren't measured in FPS since the stutters don't last long enough to effect the counter. 1 full second of 40 FPS can really be felt on that 1%. Because of that I would argue the intel CPU outperformed the amd one.

I'd agree with CommandoBlack. For those games you listed you would probably be better off with Intel.

i've used $20 air cooler and $300 AIO. Almost no difference in gaming for X3D. So... basically anything.

Amd 7 7800x for gaming, less power consumption=less money spending on cooling upgrades.
Intel i9 13gen,14gen are all around great CPUs for any advance programming, Ai, etc. More power consumption though= more money to spend
      Gaming/everyday Tasks=AMD 7 7800x
Advance programming for any type of work you throw at it/Gaming = i9 13gen 14gen

Hey buddy. Great benchmark! Btw I want to upgrade my cpu and I will probably go with 7800x3d as it cost lot less. Do you think I will get good fps on rust with this cpu and a 3080, 10gb? Rn am running a i9 9900k and I play In high pop servers only getting 60-100 fps

ua-cam.com/video/uIlcu7Q0f58/v-deo.html I didn't put 14900K in my Z790 Apex or Kingpin because they did not support cryo cooling for 14th gen at launch. I returned my 14900K because I bought it only for cryo cooling testing. I've heard that they've added support for 14th gen cryo recently. I might pick up another 14th gen later.

Hey I need help making a pc I play rust a lot and want to do a lot of video editing and recording/streaming and don't know what to get all of this is really confusing to me, I was thinking to get the Rx 7900xtx paired up with the i9-14900k but in the video it has lower fps than the 7800x3d but i think it will be better for me with the 14900k because it has 24 cores for better recording and editing right? Also if you could please make me a $2000 build focusing just on performance not unnecessary cosmetics (if its more money) on pc part picker that would be awesome because I dont undersatnd all of this thank you!
