I like how the Resident Evil bosses tend to gather a lot of biomass from nowhere while transforming.

@@lakobause At least in RE5, Excella actually absorbed dead bodies to become big. In this game, Simmons goes from human to centaur to dinosaur(really though?!) to mothra. At some point, I was just like "What am I even watching anymore?"
The fire is a dead giveaway on the insane speed of cellular multiplication to create all that flesh in seconds. Multiplying that fast creates immense heat.
It was just all condensed in the mole on his asscheek, it needed to expand

Well, the virus already stabilized in a way inside him, & to be fair, leon (& helena) are fed up with simmons at this point.

Ain't gonna lie. The way his body changes back and forth is probably the freakiest out of all the transformations in RE.
Agreed, I still am trying to figure out how, unless it's some sort of vast internal molecular expansion.
The whole point in RE monster is that the virus gives the body a level of celular regeneration that it's just so much it starts changing shape randomly, Simmons turning back doesn't make sense even in the universe the game created
But also the coolest..

The fire and steam is evidence of the insane celluar growth to create such a monster.
If he is on fire his cells must be dying, also how does something grow without mass? They should have zombies nearby that he eats to get big.
@@SpencerLemay He doesn't die. BOWs are technically immortal if no one kill them. The steam from transformation are a part of his mutation. The first scene where the virus started to work on his body, he got so heat up, his clothes got burned.

It is really fun and i liked it alot, but i must agree it falls short as Resident Evil goes.

I agree to disagree. I think the addition of a second player destroys the same feeling from the RE 1-4 & 7. This game was too much action and less horror.

But pls don't mention 7, that was more a REC game than a Resident Evil, i saw nothing that could resemble Resident Evil in that.
No Umbrella, no virus, no epedimy, no fighting zombies and etc.
You are stuck in a house\mansion(whatever) with a crazy family, that is a REC game not a Resident Evil one.
I like how no matter what absolute torture the characters go through they survive, Get bit by a zombie you survive, Get eaten by Satan's t-rex you survive.
Simmons is like a zombie version of beast boy, dude can go from tiger to T. rex to giant fly in seconds.

Simmons transformation is still one of the freakiest thing I saw in a video game. The way his body separates and forms into different shapes really disturbs me when I first play this game. It was gross but at the same time amusing.

Don't understand how people disliked this game I loved it
Messy storytelling, abuse of explosions, and waaay too many qtes are many complaints ive heard. Somecallmejhonny has a video on it. HOWEVER, i love the game for those critizisms. I love how thw story is batshit insane, everything explodes every 5 seconds, and the qtes... ive played yakuza. I gre to like them.

It gained a lot more love as the years went on. I think it was the immediate "action" style that turned off fans hoping for it to be scary. But, tbh, this game is plenty scary if you ask me. You just have more direct ways of dealing with it all.
Look at RE7 or village then back at this, it's pretty easy to see why people hated the direction RE was going until they settled down with the "hicks in a cabin" approach
Because people who hate this game forget that RE is about Biological Weapons.
So, for those who are wondering how a man can become a T-rex, I remember reading somewhere that the virus can let them grow extra mass or something like that, and I think I read it in RE2:Remake. So a T-rex by 6 isn't ridiculous.
I actually have no problem when a person turn into a building size monster in RE series. But something i don't understand how Derek can turn back into his human form. Where that extra meat and bone go?

@@PELZ666 keep in mind Deviljho wasn't in MHW on release. He came out later on. If one was based off the other, Deviljho is probably based off Simmons.
Edit: To clarify. I mean Deviljho's rig/skeleton. Not the actual monster itself.
FYI they also used a modified Pseudowyvern rig on the bat monster from RE5 too

What was the point of adding the Jeep with the chain guns to this boss fight?! It's like they just threw that in the middle for no reason other than to add even more action. This game is possibly the most baffling sequel I've ever seen in a survival horror series.

@@hydradominatus3661 As much as I dislike the Resident Evil movies, Capcom's decision to make it more action heavy had no involvement with the movies. After Resident Evil 5 leaned more towards action while being a huge success, Capcom wanted to appeal to both horror and action fans. While the end result doesn't represent that, it's still what they were going for XD I actually like Resident Evil 6, and consider it a solid action game. And I never got why people complained about this story's goofiness when Resident Evil has always been corny since the first game.
The sly and sonic fan well the movies success probably pushed it down that road
@@Theslyandsonicfan Before 5 and 6, these games always had a sense as if they weren't really taking the plot that seriously. With these last few games, it seemed like the plot started believing it was serious and important. Global conspiracies, world domination, heart felt deaths. All of these were examples to me that the series was trying way too hard, and it falls completely flat to the point of eye rolling annoyance, rather than laughing along with the lunacy of the story. Idk, maybe it's just me, but that's how I feel.
