I know this is 7 yearls late, but I thought it might help others that are yet to discover this short film, like I did recently. I don't know how can you get English subtitles, so therefore I will try to translate what is being said the best I can (since it is in my language)... The written lines in the opening: - In the Saramazalino region there is a large garrison. Several thousand women live near the garrison. They have no contact. Girl # 1: - More than 2000 women work in our factory, who rarely have contact with the soldiers. Girl # 2: - Contact between us, the girls of this town, and the soldiers is rare, since this is a small town and there will be gossip. It is considered best to only speak to one person in uniform. Also, the soldiers' attitude towards the women is rough, because they don't know how to behave with a woman. While not all of them are like that, most of them are rough and cruel. Song refrain: - 1000 soldiers on 1000 women, and yet no children.
