Agreed, and thanks! I’m working hard and next month it will be a full year with no sugar (no fruit or sugar) I might have had some that was in food, but been focused on the labels to make sure as much as I can control it doesn’t get consumed. The other great news is I’m now no longer pre-diabetic

Ginger, there is absolutely no more copium/hopium for this company. I still play, just my time is cut down to about a quarter of what I used to put in a few months ago which is still surprising because AGS legit just doesn't deserve any player base with the way they neglect the entire community when it comes to improvement, whether it be bug reports/QOL suggestions. Play the game if you still enjoy it but if it's getting frustrating, take a step back for a bit and check back on June. Just don't hold your breath.

It's like they have no concept of looking into the future when they are planning out their game. The leadership decisions for this game have been mind boggling time and time again.
This game has a foundation to be an incredible MMO but they develop it as if it's a single player experience.

Just like many MMOs today one of the major components that are missing are engaging rewards worth playing for. Is there a super rare mount that can be sought after through grinding? No. Is there a musical instrument that provides a super unique buff that could be obtained through achievement? No. Are there gear sets that indicate how much time you’ve dedicated to PVP? No. Those kinds of progression tracks that earn players engagement should be a no brainer. Also simple immersion tools like musical instrument buffs from veteran players that can provide leveling boosts for newbies or buffs for playing in taverns. So many ways to encourage player engagement which leads to people sticking around a bit longer. But they’ve decided to monetize before earning it and now their internal goals are probably fucked
I really hope we get something in June. Unfortunately I expect June to be an announcement for consol
If they fear that players will not like going through all storylines to play with other players. Why don't they keep the storylines as a bonus without any content unlock tied to them?

I think they will test how it works and then will implement into their next MMO. Same goes for Controller support.
The one thing keeping me from getting into New World are the boring enemy types. I just want a variety of interesting enemies not skeletons and dudes in armor reskinned 8 different ways.
New world devs should simply be replaced by the people who actually play the game consistently.

i tried so hard to love this game. spent almost 3k hours on it. in the end its been since oct 4th of 2023 since ive logged in. i just cant deal with it.
I think AGS is backing off on future seasonal story lines merely as a way to conserve what little design resources they seem to have dedicated to New World.

What new players? The game is operating on the least amount average players since the games launch and there's more content than ever to go play yet the game is failing.
It doesn't really matter what they do at this point because they've already broken the trust of the people who have BEEN giving them the benefit of the doubt since launch and proven that they can't deliver.
I really hope this June update is MASSIVE in terms of content, crossplay etc otherwise I'm gonna have to hit the Wake Flocka "uhh okay..." face on them

I finally gave up playing new world after 9.3k hours. Currently playing no rest for the wicked and i'm loving it. I might come back in the future (or not).

It's really to bad Landmark was too much Connected to EverQuest Next because I think if Pax Dei follow that it be a little more fun to play. Hint We give you basic Tools and if you want more better tools to do the more advance stuff in the Game well you have to Craft better after you gather the stuff needed to make that. Telling someone to go harvest a Tree by picking stuff off the ground to make an Axe right at the start is stupid. This may sounded like nurfing the game Sandbox but come on I spent an hour making an Axe while someone else was making a House. :( So in the end I Quite one Day 1. Like Landmark had 4 Types of Axes and you had to gather the stuff to make each Axe but with each Axe tier you could build and do more in Game but you were given the Tier 1 Axe.
So no one there played or researched what happened with gw2 and this very same fomo story system... they already discovered the answers.. spoiler it was persistent stories...
The issue with players of Pax Dei are thinking they need to do everything for crafting and building. This mindset was set in from previous MMO's. Pax Dei is a group based game where you should specialize in one area. This will not appeal to most players because they want to be those god slayers that crafted all of their own items and don't want to rely on someone else. Pax Dei is bringing the MMO back to the MMORPG.
On the Server we are own I have a group of friends that are all specializing in one area of crafting, there is another group we came across that built a meadery. We exchange our goods so they can explore more and get new materials, and we receive alcohol.
Player feedback says content. They make content and players ask for more content. They lack a vision.
I can give you 99% Pax Dei will fail. It has no gameplay. Not a single system is implemented except for crafting, which in itself is like temporary until you try for the first time.

Indeed, pve monkeys arrived, destroyed the premise and now they will go screw another game but great that we tried to welcome them, at least now we have a dead game.
FOMO is the main reason I quit this game and Destiny 2. I want evergreen content from my MMOs. Also the PvE content was incredibly lacking.
The only new content New World has released for me is a couple of new weapons and artifacts. Still waiting for another OPR map, we should have had 2 or 3 new maps by now. There should be a new weapon every season at least. They should be doubling the skill tree's for every weapon. New expeditions, a raid? Couldnt care less about those - you play them once then never go back to them as your just doing the same thing over and over again.
They need to wipe the whole game, drop a major major update, switch to the subscription model, and move away from the micro transactions. NW as it stands isn't worthy of a subscription as it stabds but if they can fix broken systems and add serious content. It just might be.

I'm sorry, but I don't care in the least about "fresh servers". I spent a ton of hours getting my character leveled up and geared. I am not about to waste more time rolling up a new character on a new server just because AGS thinks that is "new content". I can already create 3 characters on new worlds. Screw consoles. As far as Seasonal stuff, that's about the only think keeping me playing. If it wasn't for that, there would be NOTHING new ... and yeah, now the seasonal stories are just repeating. GIVE US NEW CONTENT!
This was a Trick/Trick idea on wars, and I very much support this idea. The main fight would be for the town with a 50v50 fight just like now. Winning this would give one 50%control of a territory. While at the same time two other fights in that territory are going on with 25v25 that would each get 25% control each depending on who wins those fights. This would allow for more people to have a part of the war system and not just the large war guilds and alts. If any question on this ask Trick/Trick.

This comment about Pax Dei is just ridiculous. Pax Dei is not a survival game. It is an social MMO that shall last over years in the end. Even now you can have a complete city build withing a couple of days. This game is not made for solos at all and not the target audience. And even though you can easily master every profession for tier 1 within a couple of days. Once you have all your gear up there is barely any solo content for a reason. The only solo content that exists then is going for your profession and support or trade later. And even all of that is not yet implemented. And yes the combat is not great and a lot of stuff is janky, but the devs said this hundred times that nothing is yet polished and they are still more in a conceptional phase than any polishing. These alphas are made to collect data and test the current build as well as the server infrastructure which can be barely simulated. The game is so far away from beeing finally released. I would be totally fine playing a early access version with a monthly reset even. For me these alpha was awesome and additcting. I loved running around and see other people building their houses etc. This game could be the valheim mmo a lot of people want but it is not for everyone. And this is good.
Played the game every expansion but Holy crap the company really sucks at giving content that last at all. Every expansion kept me for like 1 month at most most of the time not even that. Really wish the game was better cuz it could be one of the great ones. But let's be real the game has fallen off and most people don't come back now

Honestly, I find it stupid that they talk so much about PvP things in this Q&A, wars, etc. when they JUST got done saying that PvE out numbers PvP 5 to 1. Focus your energies on what the majority of players are doing.
They need to make a new world movie to create hype like Bethesda did with Fallout. Then focus on all types of content.

Was a running joke in the first year in new world that the story was dreadful and nobody actually knew it, we all just skipped through it. Comparatively fallout has got years of carefully crafted lore, that spans over hundreds if not a thousand years. Your joking right? The most memorable thing about anyone in new world is the fact that Isabella is kinda thicc. I still to this day have yet to find anyone even an expert on new worlds lore lmao. That's how exciting it truly is 😂

@@motherpigeon1582 what do the current new world players that still play the game currently play it for cause its not PVE there's nothing to do in new world PVE the remaining players are mainly PVP players and that's the point an MMO game that mainly caters to PVP players will have a low population as that is very niche for MMOs. you can look at any current MMO and the majority being at least 80% play for PVE not for PVP.
You are the first person I've ever seen that comments about an MMO having low player numbers because they cater to PVE, that is unheard of that's why I say your so out of touch. PVP is not the problem, nobody wants PVP updates except the current players if you want more players to join they need better PVE content I personally and all my friends who played lost interest because PVE content was lacking, I never played PVP it is boring if I want to play a PVP game I will play apex or something.
