As a Trump supporter, That's actually hilarious.

The animation and visuals in this video are simply astounding. I really don’t know how you do it.
I believe this was once the narrator on The History Channel.
@@andresgarza6565 Charles, the narrator, was indeed an announcer for the History Channel back in the day, where I also worked for many years.
@@EpichistoryTv Too bad the History Channel does not make great productions like this anymore but I love your history videos.

One really cool fact about the Venetian Arsenale was that it was such a powerhouse of labor, tech, and innovation that at its peak it could produce a new ship every day.
I'm proud of living near Venice from my birth
The Ikea of the middle ages.
"we want to buy a fleet"
"well, we currently have 20 ships flat-packed away. I suppose if you gave us another few weeks we could raise that to 60."
"One ship a day" is the understatement of the year. At the peak of its strength, the arsenal could produce a 60 ships strong fleet in 30 days. This because the Serenessima had ALWAYS 60 hulls ready to be made into full "galee". Thia meant they they could absorb losses nobody else could. Also - Arsenale personnel had lifetime employment, paid sick leave, paid retirement, and free food during their work days. The other side of the coin - any any attempt to "leave" or divulge the secrets of the Arsenal meant death

Last Doge of Venice:
"Wow, very last"
"So no more"
"Very over"
This was the comment I was looking for.
The last Doge was an idiot and wa elected only because he was enormously rich. The Serenissima needed money for the war against the Otoman Empire.

I too on occasion soak up torpedo's to aid my team to victory.
But check out the amazing torpedo dodge around 0:33, then me iceing that German destroyer... Possibly my finest moment and all caught on camera. I walked into a wall of torpedoes about 2 mins later...
@@EpichistoryTv Oh yes, the classic chicken maneuver to get the enemy torpedo to adjust its course to prevent a collision.. must say old chap way to use the old noggin.

Not the only one...
I visited Venice for the first time two weeks ago and absolutely adored the city, so this video is great timing.
You now have to plan your travel itinerary to precede their videos. It's in the contract.
So lucky I've been to Venice multiple times... jus 1 hrs away from my city... my fav place ever.... every time I go there I'm still amazed by the glory the Venetians had brought to their Republic and you can still see it by how amazing the city is... the Basillica di San Marco was hands off the most beautiful Basillica in the world...
I can't wait until you get to the Italian wars, its amazing that Venice survived as long as it did despite often being surrounded by much larger foes.
😊
Your channel is so underrated and deserves a lot more attention for your amazing quality of content
Byzantine Empire and Venice Republics are interesting civilizations no one really talks about. Ive been to Venetian forts in Greece multiple times.

Christen my ass.
There are many documentaries to watch about history, but when I hear Epic History's narrator his voice draws me in to watch these instead of others. For me you got to have something unique to keep an audience interested. Best voice hands down!👍😎🤠
Venetian tradition states that when St. Mark was traveling through Europe, he arrived at a lagoon in Venice, where an angel appeared to him and said "Pax tibi Marce, evangelista meus. Hic requiescet corpus tuum."
Acts in the Bible shows the original Christinas never had iconography nor statues, never prayed to Mary, never hoarded wealth, never had pagan Dagon hats, never sought political control of the Holy Land and other things heretic Mary-worshippers have done.
@@scintillam_dei The Bible shows that Protestantism is a false religion. It's also why the early Christian writers preached doctrines contrary to Protestantism.

very nice documentary. I look forward for the next part. - Additionally I would like to say that in my area Venetian precence was very intense during Morosini expedition in Morea (Peloponnese). If you need any help in your research I can help you. Also we must say not only the Ottoman - Venetian wars but the Venetian wars against pirates. There are many documnets describing these conflicts.
One of the reasons that byzantine empire fell, venice weakened the eastern roman empire.
Many Turks probably pretend to have done it alone when they were just the final nail in the coffin.
