I am Italian, I grew up with Music and I am touched that such a small, and foreigner, girl loves so much ancient music by an author, Puccini, so far from modern youth.
As an Italian and as a lover of Music, I bow to this extraordinary, small interpreter of Italian Opera music.

The famous conductor André Rieu had seen her audition on "Holland got talent" in 2013 and immidiatly decided to give Amira a chance for having a educationday with him and his orchestre. That has resulted in this performance in summer 2014 in the Dutch city of Maastricht, attended by a crowd of 15.000 visitors. So, a very big event for any adult artist, let alone for a 10 year old.... But Amira is totally fearless on stage as you can clearly see. She just wants to sing.
And Maestro Rieu knows good music and talent better than most. Now he is mentoring yet another prodigy, Emanne Beasha.

I have recently become a big fan of Amira! She's fantastic! An Angel! But Heaven's Choir began sending Angels to earth to sing us to world peace in 2010 with Jackie Evancho! Then came Amira, Anjelica, and most recently Kaylee Rogers. Please check them out. Also Grace Vanderwaal and Angelina Jordan. So much talent under the age of 19! Heaven's Choir is now here on earth!

AMAZING an UNIQUE and she was only 10 years old here. Amira is so so so so so GOOD. She did this song one more time,( that clip is also on youtube) a day before or a day after this performance. In that other performance you can see the audiance in tears and the standing ovation from 13 or 15 thousand people. It,s truely AWESOME and OUT OF THIS WORLD to see that.

Amira is really a true natural talent. She had no singing lessons at that moment, and just learned classic songs from youtube with her brother's help to get the lyrics right. And at this moment after training, her singing is even better, but with her same passion.

She was just 10yrs old. This was held 6 months after she won Holland's Got Talent. In other video of this performance you can see members of the audience moved to tears, and yes she got a standing ovation :)

She tought her self by watching youtube video's She had never had vocal training before she got on Holland's got Tallent (2013 when she was 9). This girl just went on youtube because she wanted to do something like her brother. (he was playing the violin) On youtube she found opera (at the time she was 7) and loved it, wanted to do that and tought it to her self in her bedroom. So in 2 years she tought her self to sing opera like this to herself, in her bedroom and won Holland's got Tallent in 2013.... Completly AMAZING 2 me! She was 9 in 2013 so I gues she's 17 or 18 by now. There are a lot more vids by her, so go and vind out about this Angel!

Amira Willighagen was nine years old at the time of this song. She is from The Netherlands but is now living in Potchefstroom in South Africa going to school in the town of her mother's family. She does a lot of charity work for Gelukskinders Childrens foundation.

she doesn't just do a lot of charity work for Gelukskinders charity, she is Gelukskinders Charity. She started it with part of her winnings ever since she won Hollands got Talent and continues to do it building playgrounds in the poorer areas . She not only has a great talent, but a great heart to match it.

The video posted by Andre Rieu himself is the best one. If you enjoyed this which seems like a cell phone video of the first nights performance. The next night she really turned it on. With the sound direct from the microphone and professional recording it like night and day. Even if you don't do a new reaction for it you owe it to yourself to see the ultimate performance of this by Amira. You can hear her incredibly beautiful voice without the distortion, echo and the people talking.
Because the original video had been taken down for 8 or 9 months due to copyright problems most people got use to looking at these poorer quality video,
The original video had 18,025,000 view in just 5 days it now has 18,300,000 and it is almost 4 years old and still gets over 50,000 views a day. It's unbelievable[. If you go to your last video I posted a link there. Go listen to it on your own the quality of her voice will really astound you.

It is currently at 22,759,754 and growing fast. Quite possibly the greatest vocal performance for a child in recorded history. The english language does not have an appropriate superlative to describe this performance. Beyond stupendous. Amira is a natural on stage, no matter how big the audience (and this was BIG) she took it in her stride and gave us mere mortals an out-of-this-world experience. Emerson's reaction was perfect, words can't describe this performance. The power, the passion, the tone, the control. And she was a tiny 10 year old. Unbelievable!

Yes, and she learned how to sing by watching UA-cam Orpha singers. She never took singing lessons prior to winning her Holland's Got Talent Contest at age 9. This performance was age 10.

Just one week ago she recorded her first e-concert. The concert was recorded in the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria / South Africa. Amira sings 11 songs, 10 of which she has never performed or recorded before. It's not from when she is older. Well actually she is one day older. The original Andre Rieu video, which is back up was a recording of the second nights performance with professional recording of the concert for Andres' concert DVD 1000 times better than this cell phone video, or whatever it is. You can actually hear all the tones and subtleties of her voice and it shows closeups of her face and scenes of the audience.
They reposted it a few days ago and it's receiving over 50,000 thousand views a day and it's increasing today over 80,000 views and that's after 4 years. Just incredible.
