- In this restoration series, we're restoring a BMW G 650 Xchallenge.
The motorcycle was stored in a barn for 5 years without being noticed.
The bike has done only 35000k km, but the last two seasons only in offroad and needs a lot of attention.

@@dirkgerntholtz494 Today I just replaced the tires, chain and sprockets that were on the bike with dunlop en91 and JT X1R gold x ring chain and JT 15/47 sprockets and its a beast off road now. definitely better than my friends brand new klr650
@@MarshallSmith27 Nice! Those replacements are also on my to do list. The bike is a lot of fun to ride. I’ve mostly done street riding at this stage, but can’t wait take it off-road.

Tip: Before stripping anything mechanical, thoroughly clean and dry it.
So I got the bike out of the barn. It was cold and freezing. Too bad I don't have a video or photo where it cost 5 years since mud. Some parts in box and some parts missing.
That looks like a well sorted XCh! 💪
Quite a bit of TouraTech parts in there. If you are not aware of it, that radiator guard is also the mount for the T-Tech large tank (yours is equipped with crash bobbins, instead of tank grommets) and your OEM tank even comes with the plumbing for it...

Hello! Tell me why you put the rear wheel. It can be seen that both disks are Excel. But native rear disc is very rare?!

HI, Good video. I have a g650 X country 2009, mm is a kind of the same bike. I have a question .. do you know where is the indicator lights relay located?.. I want to update and use indicator LED lights and also made them hazard lights functions but i need also to change the indicator lights relay

Buenas tardes te escribo desde Mendoza Argentina para contarte que tengo una x challenge con 30 mil km Y cuándo la paro después del primer arranque de la mañana para repostar combustible o hacer alguna compra la moto petardea y no enciende después de unos minutos si

Hola soy de Neuquén, hace poco me paso eso. el tablero tiro error y unos petardos. En mi caso fue un fusible y la batería que se murió. Se solucionó con una nueva, fue la única vez que le pasó.
