Philipp Klein Herrero I don't hate his build at all but it makes me wonder why no one V6 swaps anything. It would have a much more fitting sound and then some forced induction could probably match the horsepower. It would also help with weight distribution
The Apollo was the reason i went from just a watcher to a subscriber several months ago, keep up the great projects with it! ..But don't Financially ruin yourself either
While you change your suspension for adjustable shocks, upgrade the brakes and cooling, make the tach work again, put a new stronger fuel pump, put extra sound deadening and whatnot you can also reupholster the seats :)
I love how you humble yourself. I know it's mostly out of humor, but you're clearly successful, and you know it. You remind me of other successful people I know. Deserving so.
Atomic Reverend Alexander With a high output 5 litre V8 developing 170 brake horsepower and solid rear axle & drum rear brakes configuration, it's sure to get those pulses racing.
I always get excited when I see a new hoovie video. Thanks for keeping it clean. One of the few channels I can watch with my son. Keep up the good work!
BRAH! Another classic. No matter how bad I'm feeling from the multiple surgeries I've had over 9 months. I laugh till it hurts once I spot a new upload. Keepem coming!
Bro you have done something I will always want to do. Except I would wide body it because it's for me not for anybody else. I love this build to the moon. Please keep throwing money at it to dial it in. I look forward to every single video with the Apollo . Please don't take that away from me or your other fans ! Enjoy your 911 and can't wait for the next video !!!
The Apollo 911 is the coolest car in the hoovie fleet. I have an old 912 and I know how you feel... continuously looking to improve it, the drive, the feel, the look... it's truly a drug
Hoovie...Lately i have found my comments on your videos referencing the (unreasonable) amount of ads per video. Today though, I see saw something different...No ads PLUS excellent execution of production quality with the little mini video?!? You did very well so I write this msg today to give you a standing ovation! Congrats to you sir! You earned it :)
Lol. You took likely one of the greatest sports cars ever and turned it into an American car. I’m sure the reliability will follow the turning and stopping right down the toilet now too. PLEASE keep doing things like this. It’s fantastic to watch!
bgtx that porche will eat apple pie, chew tobacco, and have a shotgun rack before he is done. Last thing, paint it hemi orange and put a rebel flag on top....(JUST KIDDING)....(but not about the shotgun rack.)
You're kidding right? An ls can easily outlast the previous engine. Obviously you don't know what your talking about. The all aluminum ls engine weighs nearly the same. It will need adjustments, the chassis is being overwhelmed with power, and the weight has shifted.
If you're trying to call american cars crap and unreliable, don't use the LS (or any not northstar v8) as an example. It's an amazing engine in everything but fuel economy and tech
You're a fucking idiot, that LS2 is a billion times more reliable than the turd that was in it before. Plus it's easier and cheaper to fix. Stop being a fanboy
Has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like Linus from Linus Tech Tips? And now having seen your girlfriend/wife? I'm wondering if you aren't just a clone of him, but the car guy version. Also, you do know that now you can never sell that blasphemous beauty right? I subscribed for that madness and will follow it wherever it goes, and I like to think I'm a Porsche Purist. And what's special about this car unlike every other "boring" 99' 911, is that it's literally unique, one of a kind and properly built/being built. That makes it tolerable. It becomes horrendous when it becomes a trend and we're LS swapping lawnmowers. I honestly followed to hate this car, but I ended up liking it.
I loved the video. Thanks. From a Canadian who was either smart enough or dumb enough to buy an air cooled cabriolet (87 3.2) as an F'n WINTER car. Some mistakes you grow to love. I hope
So today, I was going through every subscription I have and deleting those I have not watched in a long time. I decided to keep my subscription with you the moment you said "I guess you wouldn't be watching if I made good decisions" That statement nailed it for me to keep and start watching your videos! Thanks for the entertainment!
+Yarnell Riley An ice cream restaurant.. hmm.. interesting for a car-type guy and parents millionaires.. he makes himself seem like hes just an total average guy. :D
I had a 1993 Maxda RX 7with an LS 2 and T 56 swapped into it by Hinson Motorsports in Birmingham, Al. I bought the car from the original owner who had this done. Getting the Porsche tach is probably as easy as getting mine to work was. The GM computer sends the tach signal out through the harness and by joining it to the tach input on the car and hooking a 1k resistor to ground and applying 12 volts to the joined tach wires made mine work perfectly. As far as fixing the things that you need to fix, go ahead and re-do these things. If you spend the time and do it right you will end up with a car that can be more reliable and cheaper to keep running than the original power train. The LS engines are very advanced in their design, they do not leak oil like every 911 engine does from so many castings bolted together. Parts are way more cheap and the engine has a stellar reliability record. All the issues with Porsche stuff like timing chains and tensioners and IMS bearings and all the other problem areas that these engines have just do not exist with the LS. I had also a totally stock LS 2 in mine from a donor '06 GTO. You know how it runs with a stock LS 2, now just imagine what you can do with factory and aftermarket parts if you feel the urge to really go fast. If you are like me though you probably think it's fast enough and it really is, after all with low curb weights, these cars perform very well and all this with just a stock GM LS engine, not a complicated and expensive Porsche product.
Love watching the channel, it helps me everyday that I think of buying “that steal of a car” on auto trader or Ebay. I walk back in the garage and thank my dayley driver for some years of service
I love the swap Hoovie, should be no regrets man! Before fixing the suspension, brakes etc, how about changing out those hideous amber front, side and rear lenses with clear ones. Also, maybe fix the damage the Lincoln did to the front bumper...
Have been a regular viewer for several months now, finally pulled the trigger and subscribed. Keep the quality content coming, you, Doug D. & CarGuru are my favorite car guys to watch on UA-cam. edit: had to include CarGuru in there, had a momentary brain fart
Tyler, just enjoy the car. Take pride in its uniqueness, continue churning out content and someday you will get that balance back to somewhere normal. Also, here's some free UA-cam business ideas - why don't you get more involved with other vloggers like Tavarish or that guy with the E55AMG build and participate in whatever they come up with, do more with Doug. Any video Doug makes gets views by the millions, ask him to review your 911 and split the receivables. Once your car gets even more UA-cam famous (and fully sorted) you can probably auction it off and just remember this whole period as a mistake/lesson/experience - whatever you wanna call it. Cheers and keep up the good work man, I really enjoy your videos and loved the Petrolicious video you made! Regards from Lithuania!
This 911 LS3 and 'luca car mods' his 2JZ swapped Volvo are the 2 best engine swaped cars on the internet. Oh and Turbo Toms LS3 swapped Miata is also pretty awsome.
I pretty much bought my 99 996 bc of this vid series. DYING to watch you dial it all in then I'm selling the M96 and following you down the rabbit hole.
Great video Tyler! Glad to see the Porsche is coming along. The car is so close to being good! Those Kuhmo tires and stock springs/shocks arent helping you any though! Dial in the suspension and swap over 911 turbo brakes/rotors and that thing should me mad!
If you do a camshaft swap, you will gain quite a bit of power. At least 50 rwhp I'd estimate. The ls2 has a high compression ratio from the factory so it responds very well to an aftermarket performance cam. If you wanted to go a step further, an intake manifold swap can also gain quite a bit as the ls2 factory intake manifold is known to be among the most restrictive. Awesome build, the light weight package with the potent power of an LS engine are a great combination. If you get the suspension dialed in, you will have a certain kind of monster 👍👍👍👍
Stay with it, and the ls, and keep adding power. You need a camshaft and a sponsor for a centrifugal supercharger. Imagine what it would be like with that big cam idle and the additional power from a centrifugal supercharger, which saves space.
That car is amazing!! I love the project, if I could leave the frozen wastland of Canada and drive down there I would totally help you! Porsches have always been my favourite sports car.
Hoovie tried to up the production quality but the audio fails you lol.
As always, the audio fails me.
At this point bad audio is you signature.
In the shadow of his mentor Doug following step-by-step.
Are you using one of Daddy Demuro's famous microphones?
zorf3 I think he is.
You and her are a beautiful couple! Also the girl is pretty cute too.
Aleksandar S she was really into hot wax, but then realized, hot ramen was so much more pleasing.
I would let Hoovie to take a shit on my chest.
TriHard cmonBruh is This is the most stressful comment I have ever read.
Their kids will look like Elliot Rodgers
Don't talk to Hoovie or his girlfriend's daughter ever again.
Get sponsors!
You mean like stickers to put all over the car?
Hoovies Garage please change the deep dish rims make whole rim white or whole black please
Alex Suit - Live and let live, do not insult others because you do not agree with their relationships.
Alex Suit Dude fuck off.
Alex Suit fuck off. And more importantly, before you do, go to first or second grade and learn how to spell before you do so!
Yes Hoovie. Your personality and bad decisions (regarding cars) is why I love this channel
Video 10/10
Audio1/10
😂😂😂
ace 1121 Girlfriend 10/10
Audio is always shit in Tyler's videos
Every time I see 911 and hear V8 starting, my brain tells me something's really wrong
Philipp Klein Herrero I always picture the twin towers covered in tomato juice...
Money Mac what
Philipp Klein Herrero maybe it is your brain that is wrong.
It's so wrong but yet so right!
Philipp Klein Herrero I don't hate his build at all but it makes me wonder why no one V6 swaps anything. It would have a much more fitting sound and then some forced induction could probably match the horsepower. It would also help with weight distribution
Cute video, the Car Wizard and your G/F make great sidekicks for your video's. Need a update video for her M3 user experience.
Paul no need she hates it.
Bentley update please
bentley machine broke
Axel Davis lmao
The exhaust sounds great now! Hopefully you can get the tachometer situation sorted because you're right, that aftermarket one is the worst.
Mount a tablet in the dash, Plug in Bluetooth OBD2 Adapter ($15 on amazon), Download Torque app for 5 bucks. Every gauge you could want.
Done.
To me, it sounds like a prolapsed anus
The Apollo was the reason i went from just a watcher to a subscriber several months ago, keep up the great projects with it!
..But don't Financially ruin yourself either
I'm surprised Porsche Purists haven't protested in front of your house yet.
NorthAmerican Auto they would except their tea time/tennis practice/club outtings are always conflicting.....
Let doug drive your 911, and give it a doug score..
While you change your suspension for adjustable shocks, upgrade the brakes and cooling, make the tach work again, put a new stronger fuel pump, put extra sound deadening and whatnot you can also reupholster the seats :)
West Senkovec please, nice light tan or all out black (but would be very hot).
He'll just do seat covers lol, think about who we're talking about here hahaha.
you have like 33000 dollars right on an used porshe 911..
West Senkovec are you trying to make his wife leave him for good?
E85 once you get the pump done.
"Redneck 1981 camaro" I imagine that would be a i-ROC. Tyler please continue on with your bad decisions it's very entertaining
Actually the iroc started in 1982, the 1981 would be considered a second generation
The IROC-Z Camaro came out in 85. 81 was the last year of the 2nd gen.
Sad thing is, the second gen sucked, would rather have a 78 or 79 if I'm going back that far tbh.
Ya, I wouldn't go for a 74-81 Camaro. 70-81 Firebird tho, yes to each year.
Quietbut_Deadly I stand corrected
this channel is so great
I love how you humble yourself. I know it's mostly out of humor, but you're clearly successful, and you know it. You remind me of other successful people I know. Deserving so.
Oh yeah...
Now it sounds great Tyler...
I don't care what you or anybody say about that beautiful Porsche I love it!
Hoovies Garage is brought to you by Rockauto Tirerack and Diehard
And now it's time for your Lincoln Tech Tip

I always get excited when I see a new hoovie video. Thanks for keeping it clean. One of the few channels I can watch with my son. Keep up the good work!
I think it's time to... time to get rid of her Tyler. Say goodbye to your girlfriend.
Seriously dump her...
fucking a girl is gay
911... or pussy... 911... or pussy...
DaRealCarlos \ WHY NOT BOTH???
First you get the car
Second make the power
Then you worry about the split tail, flatback, mattress thrasher.
Just a wicked cool car - one of my faves on youtube. Glad you hot it even better and I'm looking forward to those chassis updates!
BRAH! Another classic. No matter how bad I'm feeling from the multiple surgeries I've had over 9 months. I laugh till it hurts once I spot a new upload. Keepem coming!
Hoovie you are the master, hands down! :) please stay the same Tyler that i am watching for the past year! :) all the best!
A yank with a dry sense of humour. Never thought I’d see the day, some guy
Kris Crawford You must have not gotten around the States too much, eh?
nah, he spends too much time in the pub drinking stout and slamming shepherds pies
greg h guilty
...this swap is so nuts...but I love it !!! Best Regards from Germany...
As always EPIC
I loved the jab at Petrolicious with the Porsche film. Nice camera work too. There really is nothing quite like a Kansas sunset.
I think it's time you started buying old Alfa Romeo's or 1980s Maserati. I would love to see what is even for sale in USA.
Bro you have done something I will always want to do. Except I would wide body it because it's for me not for anybody else. I love this build to the moon. Please keep throwing money at it to dial it in. I look forward to every single video with the Apollo . Please don't take that away from me or your other fans ! in order to get decent audio have to watch in 2x speed
Joeys Cleaning Lady How do you wash Joey's dirty underwear?

I own the best sounding Porsche in the country is more like it....great vid Tyler
I fricking LOVE the sound of a 911 996 starting, and you've removed that!
Lol. You took likely one of the greatest sports cars ever and turned it into an American car. I’m sure the reliability will follow the turning and stopping right down the toilet now too. PLEASE keep doing things like this. It’s fantastic to watch!

Tehgziz Lauw I wouldn't call the original engine a turd, but the LS2 is WAY better in nearly every way but the redline
I absolutely subscribe to this madness, no matter what.
Sounds fantastic now
...and drives like shit - top effort for a 911.
Cannot wait to see her all dialed-in!
Good luck with getting the details buttoned up.
Hard to admit, national pride and all, but the LS engine sounds better.
Jeremias West 😠
Anyone who says any porsche motor sounds better than an LS needs a lobatomy. Fyi *I'm an import guy*.
Great video Tyler love the subtle humor mixed with cinematic montages
Has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like Linus from Linus Tech Tips? And now having seen your girlfriend/wife? I'm wondering if you aren't just a clone of him, but the car guy version.

Avinash Mahabirsingh I don't see any resemblance between the two
He looks nothing like linus
They might look similar, except hoovie isn't a despicable dork with an irritating voice
They act kind of similarly, but Linus is definitely more Canadian!
Avinash Mahabirsingh it's time to stop yourself
I'm STILL not quite sure what the 'artsy' film was, but I love it! Happy to see Apollo 911 back 😁👍
Did your dad sold that 930 Turbo?
Yes, around the year 2000, with 8,000 original miles, for $60000. He bought it for 45k 4 years prior. Can you imagine them ever being that affordable?
making poor decisions..... like father like son ;)
What would a 930 turbo like that fetch nowadays?
In new condition around 250k.
Hoovies Garage wow that's crazy!
I think that is the coolest UA-camr car. Just sticking it to the man and I love it
Mess up the weight distribution? Now your telling yourself lies in order to justify your adjustable coil over purchase.
Brandon Blair - Exactly. I thought he said in one of the early episodes that the engines weighed about the same.
Brandon Blair it’s slightly farther back in the chassis though
Ethan Daniel - That could be a little scary.
Brandon Blair The Engine is probably much higher mounted and the weight is now at a different location in the car.
I loved the video. Thanks. From a Canadian who was either smart enough or dumb enough to buy an air cooled cabriolet (87 3.2) as an F'n WINTER car. Some mistakes you grow to love. I hope
That's a weird looking mustang.
Stepping up the production value, I like it.
I want some sort of Hoovie Score, scoring on weirdness and quirks!
Philipp Klein Herrero yea! I want some sort of hoovie name change maybe change his name to Doug?!
Wrong channel.
Yeah, exactly, like a Hoovie O Meter !!!!
*DOUG DEMURO WANTS TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION*
So today, I was going through every subscription I have and deleting those I have not watched in a long time. your right that Tach is Wack
Blows my mind on how that v8 sound suits the 911 so well! Great job
Why do I feel bad for you?
f266101463 because he LS swap it...
He has millionaire parents.. His wallet ain't hurting for the slightest bit
+Yarnell Riley nop. He made his money by himself and his parents arent millionaires..
Shaded_LP I never said anything about his way of making money. He owns an icecream restaurant close to me and his parents ARE millionaires. So yep.
+Yarnell Riley An ice cream restaurant.. hmm.. interesting for a car-type guy and parents millionaires.. he makes himself seem like hes just an total average guy. :D
One of my favorite car projects of all time, also your videos are highly entertaining, thank you *Hoovies Garage*
Notification Squad 🇪🇬🇪🇬
I don't know Porsches all that well, so when I first saw the term IMS in another comment I thought it stood for It May Start...
you can tell a mustang is not a muscle car, cause it cant drive in a straight line 😂
Hoovie, I had dreams of an old 911, and you have broken them. Thank you.
at least you got a hot wife
axercst asian wifey = best wifey imo white chicks fuck guys around
Love watching the channel, it helps me everyday that I think of buying “that steal of a car” on auto trader or Ebay. I walk back in the garage and thank my dayley driver for some years of service
Blaaattt!!
Can’t tell if you’re making car noises or just an angry Russian?
I love the swap Hoovie, should be no regrets man!
Before fixing the suspension, brakes etc, how about changing out those hideous amber front, side and rear lenses with clear ones. Also, maybe fix the damage the Lincoln did to the front bumper...
So, how much do you make on each video? Asking for a friend.
Kyle Hansen normally 1000 views is about 1$ to 4$
But sponsorships pay with how many people have used the link in the description. Those earn more.
About $3.50.
enough to buy lunch at McDonalds
This is awesome. I really like the little sad artsy movie!
A Corvette engine that only produces 150 horsepower?
dj33036 .dj63010 150hp more than the 911 Engine I think.
"more than the 911"
Some did, look back to the 50's and mid 70's-early 80's for examples.
I believe it has like 450 hp since 996 originally was around 300
The LS2 makes 405 stock and he said the Porsche engine made like 250hp. 150hp over stock
I watch pretty much all your videos. Good stuff. Keep on doing it!
I LOVE THIS BUILD! GLAD YOU GAVE US AN UPDATE ❤️ KEEP IT UP LOVE THE CHANNEL!
The sound emanating from the rear of Apollo 11 ...PRICELESS!

Such a great car. A lot of work clearly though thanks for posting!!
Great build, keep it up, love the car and the noise
Hoovie should have a million followers!!!!!
That's why we love you Hoovie!
Hang in there, hang in thereeee
That exhaust note sounds great! Nice lighting on your artsy video.
I Love this video! You have a the most interesting Porsche 911 I have have ever seen! Drive through Indianapolis sometimes!
Hoovie..... my man! Anyone else a lil jealous that Hoovie be slamming the mail order off camera? 🤪
Lol I love your videos and ideas. Never change my man, never.

At the end of the day you have the best sounding street porsche out there
This video is awesome 😂😂😂
Good job Hoovie!
Epic video Hoovie!!! I loved it!!
228,000 subscribers, you must be doing something right. You’re a hero to many of us and our favorite not Doug.
i love the look of that Porsche, nice choice with the wheels too.
i honestly loveee this 911. the sound weirdly matches the 911. i want it
Man that 911 sounds amazing. Good luck with it.
Man that car sounds incredible on it's new pipes 😍
Hoovie, love the show ! Very entertaining

Please do yourself a huge favor and get Ohlins coilovers. They are simply the best.I have a set of R&T Ohlins and I love them to bits
