I have cast my first (nearly) perfect tea light globes thanks to this video. Everyone else only shows off deep pour resin.
In my case, I should make sure not to overfill the top (base of globe) as it slightly domes. Just a learning moment. Also, adding gold leaf flakes needs care, as they can sorta sink to the bottom of your current layer. But I still like the look.
My resin can demold after 12 hours, but 4 hour interval layering definitely made sure the resin cures enough before the next layer. Also, I wait 3 minutes before pouring the mixed resin. That avoided bubbles without needing a torch.

Thank you for such great detail! I now understand what I have been doing wrong! I stir too fast and not enough layers. BTW I would like your opinion about my technique for removing bubbles as I don't have a pressure pot. I mix the resin in a cup that is sitting in warm/hot water, it makes the stirring so much easier and then after 4 min I just let it sit for a min and all the bubbles are gone. I believe it shortens the work time because of the heat, so it has a slight downside. What are your thoughts please?

I use a silicone stirring/pallet knife to stir. You want to stir slow. With my resin, letting it sit for 3 minutes was enough to wait the bubbles out.

Glad to see you had furry supervisors. 🙀That’s why the card board was needed. Those came out perfect. Did you have to work around the clock to avoid lines in your resin layers?

I realized, after rewatching this, that I definitely need to wait hours between pour steps with mine. I don't have deep pour, and it will definitely minimize bubbles😅.

I am a great fan of your work and tried to make the tea light candle deep casting ,. I had some idea that it has to be done in layers so I poured in 3 layers and ended up
With full of bubbles! Today when i saw your video on you tube I realised so much patient is required to make that!! Thankyou for sharing the tutorial as I had given up on deep casting… but will try now for sure!!

Lovely video! If I use a deep cast resin that takes 72 hours to cure, should I wait for longer to pour the next layer?

Beautiful work. How many days did you take to make this project? So you want 3 to hours between each layer. What happened if it was done in less layers

Hi, you’ve done in 3 days so when you sleep at night it will be more than 4 hours… so does it affect the casting??
